Clouds produces their own line of beers at there offsite brewery location. At this location you can expect some of the best of our standard line of beers and also some unusual new test beers.
Cuisine at Cloud Brewing is traditional American pub fare. Classics like burgers, nachos, chicken flatbread and a variety of sandwiches. Many appetizer plates are offered to satisfy guests who want to pair a small meal with a few good beers.
First time there. We had a table outside and it was very nice with little white lights. Server was outstanding.
Great open space inside and a lovely, outdoor dining space. Rated the noise level as moderate due to several patrons bringing dogs onto the patio, which caused a disturbance a few times, but overall great outdoor patio.
Beers were very good, with several other local brews also available. The food is a step above typical bar/brewpub selections.
Our experience was mediocre- didn’t wow us or make us want to return anytime soon based on our service. I made a reservation as this visit was part of celebrating my husband’s birthday in a casual brunch with our kids (young adults). I wasted time sharing that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday on the reservation with OpenTable since they never acknowledged it, even when I tried to note this to our server. So, lesson learned is don’t go to Clouds Brewing if wanting more than food or drinks. Not sure if-or when- we will return.
Stopped in for lunch on Sunday. Our group of seven each had a different brunch entree and all were delicious. We especially liked the Bratwurst Benedict, Portobello Benedict, Chicken & Waffles, and Big Breakfast. The grits were creamy and perfectly seasoned, you gotta try 'em. We weren't sure what to think of their adaptation of hash browns, but were all fans by the end of the meal. If you go for brunch, don't miss the opportunity to make yourself the perfect drink at their fantastic Bloody Mary bar. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual, with a bright, cheerful feeling. The wait staff was friendly and our server did a great job. What a great spot. We will definitely be back.
Always good food and service. Great beers. Would definitely recommend.
Good food. Good service. We’ll return soon!
The beer selection was great
Great beer. Best bar food I’ve had in a long time. Loved the German flair.
Great beer selection with German inspired bar food.
Their food is utterly fantastic tasting. For a brewery - their wider choices and quality of preparation - exceeded meals costing 2 or 3 times as much. Our group of 7 all ordered different things and could not have been any happier. And their beer choices are great.
We will return...and return...and return.
As soon as we arrived, we were seated at a table that had water glasses already filled (Ew!). My water glass had a dead bug floating on top. I didn't receive an apology for that. Next, my sons order didnt get put into the system. So, by the time his arrived, everyone else's was cold. My hashbrowns were so overdone, they could have been used as a hockey puck. My husbands hashbrowns were so underdone, they were a mushy mess. Our server needed re training. The entire experience left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend.
Good food and a nice selection of beer. The “downpour” was a really neat way to try out different beers - highly recommended.
Only positive, nice patio.
Limited beer selection.
Limited vegetarian option in main menu.
Waiter wouldn't do flights in second round because place was busy.
Recommend the Durham location. Different beer and food menu.
wonderful birthday, love that dogs are allowed outside. always have a good time when i come to clouds.
Great place, excellent food!
I've not had a bad meal nor bad beer there. Service was excellent last evening. Thanks Nolan!
Awesome food and the service was great. Didn't wait long for a table or for our food. Ambiance was only average though. I enjoyed the natural lighting but would have liked to see some more décor etc.
Would have given it 100% 5 stars if we were not told while we were waiting on checks that our table was reserved for an hour and a half away. There was little communication with the host and our server who had no idea that the host had said that to us. Secondly, we were at one long table but there were a million little tables in the room that were empty so if we wanted to stay, we could have moved but were on our way out anyways. Great food, fun atmosphere when they are not rude.
Visiting Raleigh for a volleyball tournament and a friend recommended Clouds. Food was fantastic. Very well made. The nachos were fabulous. Well done handcrafted beer too. And I’m not that big a of beer fan. Fun atmosphere as the UNC Men’s Basketball game was on! Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting.
Good beers on tap with the ability to make flights. I picked 4 beers that all hit my pallet the right way. They do not serve domestic light beers which forced me off the low carb target for one night. Atmosphere was open, bright, and playful. For the main course we shared a dinner salad and some kielbasa. Personally I don't like sauerkraut but apparently I like their's. Always nice to be introduced to a new flavor based on a specific presentation. Our waiter was at the right place at the right time throughout and very pleasant. All and all we had a lot of laughs, enjoyed the drinks and the food. We'll definitely return but it will have to be a "cheat" night for the low carb thing based on the drink selection.
Food was great but service was slow. One guest in our party had a large hair in his food. The kitchen remade his order, but it the rest of the table was almost done eating before he got his fresh plate. Also, we saw several folks waiting a while at the entrance to be seated. I don’t believe they have a staff member dedicated to hosting. The space is large but seems to be understaffed.
Was a little aggravated when we were first seated at a table very near the entrance because it was extremely cold. We asked the hostess staff to be moved even if it meant waiting for another table. They were less than helpful; however our waiter was awesome and moved us as soon as another table opened. Service was great and the food was really good. It was a little loud as it is located in a warehouse type location with little to abosob the sound; however, after a few minutes, the noise wasn't as noticeable. We enjoyed our dinner and would definitely go back.
Great place to watch a game! Food is good - no domestic light beer.
Excellent food and service! Our server was very attentive. Food was delicious. Lots of draft beer choices.
Good place for a casual meal over some beers
The appetizers where good, the actually meal was not very good. The service was slacking. Our drinks came up and we saw our server in his phone and not getting our drinks.
This was a good dinner. Food was good and reasonably priced. Burgers were awesome! They have a great beer draught selection and you can get small pours to sample things. Their house brewed beers were not anything to write home about. Mediocre but drinkable.
The atmosphere was calm and the server was friendly. Everything she recommended was great
Food was very good. We got the Mean Girl special though and was served 2 different drinks. :p
Been a few times before and were pretty satisfied with the experience. However, last night was a fiasco of near epic proportions. Besides having to already raise our voices to talk with our dinner companions upon arrival, we then had to the YELL OVER THE BASKETBALL GAME COMMENTATORS that for some unknown reason had the volume turn up to 11 in the small area we were seated in. Had to beg to get it turned down. Finally did. Whew. Two diners ordered the chicken pasta dish and were told a solid 15 minutes after the order was placed that they were out of the dish (6:30pm on a Saturday and they're what? OUT OF CHICKEN? No pasta?) and the server did not bring back out menus to make a decision. Had to remember what was offered. Huh? One of our six meals did not come out with everyone else's. We had to track down someone to ask about it. After 10 minutes someone wandered by and were able to ask. Another 10 minutes later and the dish was finally brought to the table. And it was cold for some reason. The two salmon dishes (that replaced the chicken pasta selections) were both overcooked and served below room temperature. Of the two medium rare burgers ordered, one was actually medium rare and the other was medium well. We would have said something but service was horrible. Server disappeared for huge chunks of time. Food was dropped off at the table by someone other than our server and she never checked on us (until we hunted someone down about the missing entree). No offer of condiments, water refills or if we needed any more beer. My cloth napkin was removed from the table for some reason while I was in the restroom and I had to go the men's room to get paper towels because no one ever checked on us. It was a birthday celebration for two of us (noted on OpenTable) - and there was no mention of it being a special occasion or anything. We were never even asked if we were interested in dessert. No worries since we were ready to just get the hell out of there.
Our waiter Nolan was very good and attentive. We went for Trivia night and had a lot of fun.
Luis was a fantastic waiter. Our food came out at perfect timing, presentation was impressive and food was delicious. Lots of beer choices and food items. We will be back again.
Food was very good but SLOW. Noise level kinda loud! Waiter not very attentive. Still will go back for a second try .
Wheelchair access was great.
Slow service, cold appetizers. Very good beer. Loud- sports bar atmosphere.
The appetizers: chips, pretzel, and chicken flatbread were great. Really good fries! The chicken schnitzel was good not amazing. The beer list was pretty good, lots of options
First the good....the service was outstanding. Our large party was seating quickly and our waiter was quick and thoughtful. I got a beer flight and most were good and unique. Now the bad.....Clouds Brewing was unbelievably loud. I go to breweries all the time, but the noise level here was at a different level. Additionally, I heard the food was pretty good, so I ventured out and tried the fish, but it was terrible...overcooked and fishy.
Our family met at Clouds Brewing on New Year’s Eve before heading out to evening festivities. We loved everything about Clouds - family-friendly ambiance, stellar service, outstanding beer selection and delicious German food offerings. We will definitely be back to take advantage of the self-service beer dispenser!
We had an okay time, but the menu is limited if you don't eat German sausage. Burgers were fine. Brunch ishes were not remarkable. Dont think wed make a trip back to Raleigh for this place.
