Great weekend lunch menu - excellent value

The dishes are delicious but the time between the courses was too short for us. It should be longer for a romantic evening.
We also loved the interior and the service was very good. We‘ll come back if we visit London again.

Incredible experience all round - visited at the beginning of December and the Christmas Display was beautiful.

The food was very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious, the cocktails were superb and the staff were very attentive and made sure our glasses were never empty.

I mentioned in my booking that it was my girlfriends birthday and so they bought out a plate of mini desserts at the end of the meal with a beautifully penned "Happy Birthday" written in a chocolate sauce - a small touch that made her feel even more special.

Just a heads up - I booked the table a month before we visited and requested to sit in the conservatory (where the Christmas display is at its best!) however they had reserved the last table back at the beginning of September!

If you are planning to celebrate a special occasion here, book as early as you can!

I highly recommend this restaurant and I will certainly be back in the future.

Lovely restaurant, great food, would throughly recommend.

This is a beautiful restaurant in a great location. The food is excellent. Wine list is extensive if you buy a bottle, not enough choice of wine by glass. It is very pricey, especially for wine. The service was attentive however i was feeling the waiters were pouring wine way too fast and filling our glasses over enthusiastically! Nice touch to give us chocolates on a plate with Happy Birthday - i ticked what the occasion was when i made the booking. Will come back.

Beautiful restaurant .. excellent service, went for pre theatre set menu which was delicious, only very slight negative is that we did not get offered the bubbles that was part of the set menu but everything else was great and very Christmassy .. lovely night out!

Service was outstanding and so the ambiance. We were treated very nicely. On the other hand, despite being a nice wine, the Italian one from the post-theater menu was a screw-cap one. As a Spanish consumer, I do not conceive wine bottles withouth a cork.

I would totally recommend the experience. Very romantic and worth the occassion.

Outstanding food, ambience and service in a fantastic location. Excellent value especially if you opt for the set lunch menu with a bottle of wine. They even baked a fresh GF loaf for my girlfriend and provided added touches for our anniversary. Would highly recommend.

We always praise Clos Maggiore to other people. Been there many times and always enjoy food, atmosphere and friendly service. A lovely intimate place to savour a good meal. Hope it continues.

We found the service too quick. Would have appreciated more time between the courses.
Dessert menu was missing something with chocolate (only available for 2 pers)
Otherwise all was perfect. Staff really welcoming and kind.

Perfect ambiance, beautiful decoration. Hit and miss service, the maitre d' was a bit over-familiar and I don't like the fact they just drop the bread on a basket on the table, Id rather they bring out fresh warm bread rolls for youto choose from. Rabbit and crab starters were very very good, pan fried foie gras was disappointing (very very small and over cooked), Turbot and beef mains were superb, Parpadelle was a bit heavy but desserts let us down, the chocolate sensation is not that chocolate at all, milk chocolate and white chocolate moussey emulsion make for a sickly blend dessert, chocolate financier with cappuccino foram was also a bit blend, did not like the coffee granite. Savarin was very good. Would not say it's good value for money because it an expensive restaurant. They need to work on their desserts, there are many other restaurants in London in same league with better offer.

What an amazing place! The food is fantastic, only surpassed by the service. I would recommend getting a table in the conservatory, totally worth it.

Beautiful setting, delicious food, attentive and professional staff. Loved this, our first, visit. I had forgotten I noted in the booking that it was a special occasion for my wife and the chef provided a most welcome surprise for her after our meal. A memorable experience for all the right reasons. Thank you.

Elegant and sophisticated. The restaurant is very discreetly located near Covent Garden so easy access. The food was superb, beautifully presented. The wine list is fun - bottles for £18,000 seemed a bit tippy but the £40-£50 range was very good and service impeccable.

We have a table at your restaurant every Xmas and the food is always great value and quality as is the service. I do not believe there is any where else in London to match!!

An amazing restaurant. Was recommended by a colleague and will most definitely come again. It’s perfectly placed between super fancy and just fancy (as only french restaurants can). Beautiful interior, lovely staff and amazing food.

Had their set lunch menu-as good as I remembered from previous visits.
The Xmas ambience was lovely with a quiet buzz.
However a black mark for the (head waiter) who asked if we’d like coffee &
at the same time looked at his watch! He obviously wanted us to leave to set up
for the next customers.
What has been a special place was instantly ruined by this split second action.
Also another waiter could not speak or understand English very well.
I truly hope this is not the start of going downhill.

Husband’s birthday!

This was a very mediocre dining in interesting surroundings with condescending service at an irrelevant price. Hyped.

Lovely restaurant with amazing food! The jazz music really tops the whole place off, incredible value for money too!

Late dinner after the opera. Would have been nice if the post theatre menu was proactively offered rather than having to ask - it gave the impression they would prefer you to order from the a la carte menu 🤑
Food was great and the waiters were knowledgable and happy to provide some good recommendations. I thought the service was really excellent - not intrusive but very responsive and friendly. Very kindly brought some chocolates with a candle to help us celebrate a birthday! Would be happy to eat here again.

A really lovely restaurant. The Conservatory is magnificent and intimate. The tables are nicely spaced so one can talk privately. The service is formal yet friendly. The food is excellent and unusual but something for most tastes. A memorable evening and one to repeat asap. Not cheap but you get what you pay for here. Recommended for two people who are close to each other. It is very romantic.
