What Insiders Are Saying
Between the atmosphere, plating, and oh God, that cocktail menu, Cliff’s Edge hits on all cylinders when it comes to making your night feel like a NIGHT. Take note, Silver Lake: the finer things in life aren’t always boring.
My shakshuka was lukewarm and runny, and the tea was diner-level. Husband's pancakes were standard at best. Ambiance is killer, though.
Great Ambiance. Great Food. Good Service. Recommended to all I know and will be back soon.
Love this spot
Cliff’s Edge has a romantic ambiance that is matched by its delicious food and friendly service. Definitely check it out!
A lovely evening! The server was efficient and adorable!! The food was fantastic, even made accommodations for one of us with tricky dietary needs. And try the cocktails- yum!! We’ll be back!
THe restaurant is kind of hard to find it since it is hidden inside corner of street.... but found it! and the overall design& interior of restaurant would be better for friends meeting or family meeting rather than for couples. But, food was delicious and servers were nice.
The food was incredible and the atmosphere was stunning. We were a little ahead of schedule and early for our reservation, but we were sat very quickly even though there was a full restaurant.
Although my wife and I have been fans of this establishment for some years, our past visit was truly disappointing. I took my wife to celebrate her birthday and our newborn baby's first outing and left feeling deflated. Although the reception staff were very nice and attentive, the waiter seemed more preoccupied with other things away from our table. Never a greeting but rather a mild scowl, always eager to get away from the table and then handed us the check without waiting for us to finish our meal or even order dessert! It made the food taste bland and inspired us get up and leave quickly feeling unsatisfied and hungry. Perhaps the waiter was having a bad day, but we don't think we'll be going back anytime soon.
Great environment under trees and foliage outside, amazing food at reasonable prices for Silverlake.
The food was very sub-par, out of 3 dishes nobody liked them. I had been once before with a much better experience. Server forgot items, never followed up on requests. Poor experience
I had the fried chicken and although the food was good, it wasn’t the best I’ve had. Really like the atmosphere of the restaurant though. I would go back and try something else from the menu.
Lovely setting, an intriguing menu, and professional service
Went out for our reg Saturday night dinner date. Awesome spot. Highly recommended.
This place has been an old favorite for years. Great food, great ambiance and service has always been fantastic.
Really loved this place! The atmosphere the food the drinks. Amazing place!!
The ambiance was absolutely stunning, however, we made reservations for 8pm and were sat at 9pm. Our waitress would disappear for extremely long periods of time, and the food was not mind blowing. But if you want to go for the scenery, that was lovely and the drinks were A+.
Overpriced, snooty waitstaff, lots of attitude. Cramped valet parking for 7.00, up from 5.00; last visit here! Way better choices abound!
THE best brunch place. Great place to bring family. Just beautiful. Great way to escape a hot day in LA too...
Amazing spot, the inside is a bit noisier, smaller, and has an amazing dark, wood decor. The outside area is lush and multi leveled.
The service was as outstanding as the food, which came out surprisingly quicker than expected.
Squid Ink Pasta was not good. Pasta was thick, too al dente and generally overwhelmed the dish. Too salty.
My guest took one mouthful and said NO MORE. So instead of sharing her branzino I had to work hard on the pasta. Shame as nice spot.
great food & ambiance! terrible tea. cheap options, water was cold. a place this lovely should have quality hot & cold tea options for non-coffee drinkers.
The food was Delish! I'll definitely be back for more!
The service last weekend was horrible. Items which shouldn’t normally take long (vegetarian items) took FOREVER, with little attention to the mistake that had been made. Also, we specifically made a reservation for a quiet table, and they put us RIGHT in front of the hostess stand. Not exactly quiet.
Not so good
We went for my husband's birthday and it just wasn't what we were expecting. Service was EXTREMELY lacking.
Went for sunday brunch and it was really busy. No wait with our reservation. Super fun patio. It’s kind of hidden so you don’t even feel like you’re in LA. It is quiet loud, but that just adds to the energetic feel.
Amazing food and a wonderful dining experience.
My friend's birthday was amazing , everyone loved food, atmosphere and service! Definitely would recommend this place for dates as well.
This is a terrific place for brunch and I can't wait to go back for dinner. The food was well prepared and interesting, the atmosphere is really unique...like eating in a tree house. The only negative was that they needed at least one more server on the floor. Our server was nice, knowledgeable and fun, but we could never find her for any of our needs. Extra water, ice tea, etc was a chore to accomplish. That said, it is a terrific restaurant.
I specially wrote down that it was my girlfriend's birthday. However, the server and hosted did not mention anything about it and did not do anything to make it "special".
Hello! We have been to your restaurant several times for brunch and it was always outstanding. This was our first time for dinner and we were very excited, however, the food didn’t impress us too much unfortunately. We had the cheese plate which was great as well as the carrots and risotto. They were beautiful visually however, both tasted similar and both items needed salt I feel. The carrots should of had more crunch and the risotto really needed salt. I’m a trained chef from Italy and a frequent diner in LA so I feel I do know food! The atmosphere and service was great as usual. We really love the biscuits as well as the blueberry pancakes last time was outstanding. Both maybe best in LA! Thank you for your time!
I wanted to like this place so much but it just didn't do it for me. The food is microwaved for sure! We were served in a record time... No one can make a risotto at such lightning speed. And all of our stuff (starters and mains) were served at once before we even got wine. My pasta were all glued together which doesn't happen when fresh. There were chunks of salt over the top of my plate but nothing was seasoned underneath. There was creativity in the idea of the dishes we had but the execution and service were very poor so we ended up resenting the money spent. It's not cheap!
We had a delicious Sunday brunch. This was our second visit and it was every bit as good as
a couple of months ago. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. We recommend
for all types of occasions.
Went here to celebrate a close friend’s birthday and had a lovely experience. Always great! Food, wine, ambiance.
I took my girlfriend here to propose to her. The Ambiance was amazing, the food was great, I have no complaints whatsoever.
I took my wife here for brunch on Saturday and it was perfect, the food and cocktails were top notch and our server was also amazing - he was so knowledgable and very friendly. The ambiance was once of the best elements with gorgeous greenery all around and a laid back vibe. We will definitely be back.
Awesome customer service. The passion fruit mismosa was yummy and my favorite octopus ceviche.
Side story and a big thanks because we went for a Saturday brunch and didn’t realize they close for a couple hours before the dinner service, my friend left her car at the valet, came back while they were closed and her car was still there. Thanks again for not towing her car.
great atmosphere. the cheese and meat plates were great. Just a great place to eat and talk without it being to noisy.
Outstandin experience. The food was delicious and the service was on point. We were in a hurry and they literally managed to serve our food within 10 minutes!
We were excited to eat here but were disappointed. The service was good and the bar in the front was cozy and had a cool atmosphere. The decks where you eat are interesting but there are no views or anything like that. It’s very enclosed. The two apps we ordered were not good. The octopus was so tough and chewy I took two bites and did not eat any more. It was expensive, too! The burrata was ok. Usually it’s hard to mess up burrata but the dish was bland, very cold (burrata should be room temp) and had a bunch of frisée on the top as did the octopus. The entree we ordered was very good- a mushroom pasta. We decided to not stay for dessert. I’d choose a better place. Talk to locals if you’re visiting to find good places.
