What Insiders Are Saying
Between the atmosphere, plating, and oh God, that cocktail menu, Cliff’s Edge hits on all cylinders when it comes to making your night feel like a NIGHT. Take note, Silver Lake: the finer things in life aren’t always boring.
We love this place. Celebrate many family get togethers' here in the beautiful ambiance of their garden setting. Lots of heaters in case it's chilly out. Super charming waiters and delicious dishes. We like to order several and share. Great drinks and desserts as well. The chocolate pot au creme is the best!
I have been to this restaurant many times before the food this time was not very good very disappointing
1) We told the server, no cheese on the burger. It came with cheese. The order was corrected promptly and the server apologized.
2) The roesti was way overdone and almost inedible--not like any I've had in Switzerland.
3) We said "no sparkling water" and got an $8 bottle of "still water." Next time we'll order "tap water."
4) We asked for separate checks for each couple. Our check had the other couple's expresso on it. Not a big deal. However, I think the server could have been more attentive.
5) I tasted the shrimp & grits and found it to be one of the best I've had. We try it often at other places & it's always different and not nearly as well presented or as good as the one at Cliff's Edge.
6) The ambiance is always a "WOW" and our friends were duly impressed.
7) The host was super--friendly and attentive.
8) We'll be back, and we'll continue to recommend Cliff's Edge
My daughters birthday. At my favorite table I try to always sit at
Nice breeze always from the water
Lovely garden setting. Thank you
Cute and funny server. Delish food. xo
It was a busy night and had to wait 30 minutes for table. They ran out of a bunch of items on the menu by the time we ordered. The food was excellent and the service was excellent. Great wine list. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Always good food, service and ambiance at Cliff's Edge. The patio is gorgeous and the bar is very lively with great music.
Great outdoor dining. Inside seating is very noisy, with blaring music. The menu is varied and excellent.
Cool little hideaway .... would never know it from the street. We felt like we stepped into a tropical jungle hideaway built into the hillside on sunset. We definitely were out of Los Angeles for an evening ... eventually we finished got in our car and came back to reality :(. We will escape again.
Great unique ambiance and delicious food. A little pricey - $37 for snapper? - but great for a special occasion.
The food is great! Loved everything that we ordered 😍
Gorgeous location! I felt like I was on vacation, food was so great!
Good food and drinks. The waiter kinda forgot about our second round of drinks and they took a while, but it was a good time and we didn’t really mind. OH>>>> we did see a friendly rat at behind the shrubs on the outdoor patio. But since it’s Silverlake, probably not a big deal.
Excellent place to visit before or after seeing a wonderful play at the Fountain Theater.
Great food. Awesome service and wonderful atmosphere!
Had a fantastic brunch - really delicious food, the service was great and the atmosphere was casual yet fun and elegant. I’m definitely coming back.
We truly loved our first time there and bringing our out of town guests. Sad that we had never been there before.
We will be back.
I forgot how wonderful the food is here and that they make their own pasta. The squid ink pasta dish is to die for. Do not get the duck, but do get the steak. Ask to speak with the sommelier if you are ordering a bottle of wine. The list is highly curated by him and fairly pricy. Tell him you budget and your likes and dislikes and you should be fine.
My first visit and was so pleasantly surprised. Our waiter, Hunter, was fabulous. The food was delicious. And the setting is magical.
Always a good experience here, excellent food, great ambience
It was a great experience. Will definitely be back for another meal. It was a great atmosphere with an awesome service.
My friend and I both ordered the Short Ribs Hash and expected it to be sweet, sim. Was also surprised it was similar to a pulled brisket. It wasn't what we were expecting, but it still tasted delicious as a standalone meal.
Had a great time! Loved our seats. Nice for an intimate evening. The bar was also great and so were the drinks!
Great service, food and we always love coming here for the atmosphere. It feels like we step out of LA and are on vacation.
It never disappoints. Heavenly ambiance food is delicious cocktails great I love that it is still going strong after all these years.
We made reservations and we still waiting half and hour, we didn't our orders taken until 30 more minutes after getting seated. Our waiter was great and the food was great. There was a little opossum that ran across the stairs outside but everyone didn't think it was a big deal which was shocking. I was hoping for a 5 star experience because I had heard so many good things but it was more like a 3 for because of the little animals and the way that the staff did not honor our reservations.
My favorite neighborhood restaurant. The food here is always exceptional.
Love the entire feel of the restaurant. Very unique space. Food was great, but everything was a little too salty. Please use less salt.
Wait staff is great. Hostess is rude.
What a great place for brunch. The five of us really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We sat outside on the patio which was lovely. Highly recommended.
Great bar area just to hang in. The restaurant was great and food. Ambience top notch.
Some of the best food, service and most magical ambiance I’ve ever experienced. My top Los Angeles dining experience pick. Absolutely incredible!!
Super cute spot for sat/Sunday brunch. We came on mother’s day, they put us at a really nice table in the upper terrace area. Food is amazing, service is amazing. Forever one of my favorite restaurants in this neighborhood.
We truly enjoyed dining in this restaurant. The patio dining is great! We love the ambiance and the decor of the place. The food is amazing too, We enjoyed the truffle fries and Burrata Toast. Great place to dine for brunch, We'll definitely come back to dine here for dinner next time as we're pretty sure the ambiance will also be great with all the lighted trees around the patio.
Our waitress was really good even though it was busy for Mother's Day. Food was really good.
I'll start by saying I will probably be giving Cliff's Edge another try. The ambiance and the food were too good not to. The service was definitely lacking, so I hope it was just a really off night for the server we had not an actual reflection of Cliff's Edge. Our server was nice enough- but he definitely wasn't interested in serving us. I sort of got the vibe that we weren't a super welcome client because we had a 1-year-old in tow. Not ideal for us either, and its a bummer to feel judged that way. kids exist and they go places...it is what it is. Once our food came he did check in on us but then after we ordered more drinks he disappeared. he never said goodnight or that he would be transferring us to another server or anything. just a completely different dude showed up to drop our check and that was it. Everyone at our table has or currently does work in the restaurant industry, so we assume he got cut, we were his last table, he was ready to go home..yadda yadda. still would have been a nice gesture to let us know "hey i have to leave but this is so and so! they will be wrapping up your meal!" and honestly we probably would have offered to cash out with him since he did all the work. Moral of the story- cliff's edge ain't cheap. we expected the service to match the ticket price and it didn't end up that way for this experience.
FOOD CONSISTENTLY GOOD. MAY HAVE BEEN AN OFF NIGHT, SERVICE WAS NOT GOOD...
Cliff’s Edge is a wonderful restaurant and I highly recommend checking it out!
Great atmosphere & fantastic food.
