What Insiders Are Saying
Between the atmosphere, plating, and oh God, that cocktail menu, Cliff’s Edge hits on all cylinders when it comes to making your night feel like a NIGHT. Take note, Silver Lake: the finer things in life aren’t always boring.
The outdoor dining area is charming. We had the duck breast and the mushroom pappardelle. Flavorful and well-prepared, but what you would expect for 30 dollar entrees. I think we were a little disappointed by the service—there was not a real sense of welcome or interest on the part of the waiter and hostess. Overall a decent, but not very memorable, dining experience.
Hidden gem. We went with the Dine LA prix fixe menu, and were absolutely blown away by the quality (and quantity) we got. Stellar dinner, 10/10.
Oysters and branzino are amazing. Desert is a no go.
So good! Cocktails are great and the dishes are great for sharing. Order all, share all.
Also... beautiful decor.
Such amazing food the brunch is to die for!!
Food was phenomenal!!
Cliff's Edge was hard to find, but worth the effort as we were amazed at this find, which is outside dining at its finest. The restaurant shows its patina, but is still worth the California outdoor dining experience. We were here for DineLA and also heard of this location on our local Channel 7 Eye on LA. The food included short ribs, duck, salad and various appetizers and of course, dessert. I would recommend valet parking, as the locals and other restaurants along Sunset could dominate parking. A nice old time find in a old LA neighborhood.
Went here for a brunch date with my girlfriend and had a great time. Food was really good and servers were kind and fast to take our order. It was raining so it wasn’t extremely busy on the outside tables but would definitely come back.
We had a great time. The restaurant is so unique and a very pretty setting. The experience might be better in the daytime The food was very good, I wish there had been some more options for people who don’t like fish. Overall great for a romantic dinner. Upbeat younger crowd.
Food was ok the setting is lovely
I love Cliff's Edge. Always a nice vibe and great for showing visitors authentic LA dining. However the food on this visit wasn't great at all. The burrata dish had changed and it was previously one of the best dishes on the menu to accompany the meaty mains. The sharing dishes (the tagine and the salmon rilettes) were boring. Of the veggie dishes the sprouts and the bravas were the only two worth a mention.
The drinks at the bar were great and the ambience as always was really lovely. As are the staff!
Had a fantastic experience. One of the best meals and drinks my wife and I have had. Fresh ingredients, great portion sizes and the service was quick. We weren't rushed by any means, but we easily made our 8pm show at the Ahmanson. Really loved the mezcal drinks.
Beautiful setting, service was solid but busy. The food was perfectly fine. I wouldn’t call it a foodie destination but its super solid. Would return for brunch. Perfect brunch spot!
Great for date night sat inside it was cozy and romantic
Good food grilled octopus was tasty and branzino was good
Appetizer menu was limited And wasn’t impressed with the desserts had sticy toffee pudding
Overall was a nice experience and I would go again for brunch
Attended on NYE. This place is perfect spot for drinks, however I would not recommend staying for dinner. The food was not worth the price. On NYE it was a preset menu, however they were out of most of the items on the pre-set menu, so we had to pick something else that wasn't on the pre-set menu. After we ordered items that weren't on the pre-set menu, they ran out of the replacement items we ordered, so then we had to order something different, again! Unfortunately the vegetables were all under cooked, and mostly raw. One course that I ordered didn't specify that it was foie gras, which is something I would never order if I knew that's what it was. The fettuccine pasta was crumbly and had a weird texture. Thankfully the duck was good! The courses were all mixed up, and at one point even our server was confused and had to ask us, which course we were on. It was pretty unorganized. Thankfully at the end of the night our server removed the drinks from our bill, and did his best to make up for the bad dinner experience. Since it was NYE I'd like to possibly give this place another chance, however for now I would probably only recommend this spot for drinks, or happy hour.
We are foodies, transplants from San Francisco and live in Woodland Hills where generic restaurants exist. We had a brilliant New Years Eve supper. The ultimate indoor/outdoor restaurant. They had a Prix fix 4 course NYE supper. Each course was sublime and good value for $75/person. We did feel a little neglected by our server ( he may have been overwhelmed) but he was aware even before I pointed it out - thank you !
We will definitely return.
Overall, we had a great meal and wonderful time. Will go back again!!
Anniversary dinner and the experience was impeccable from ambiance to food to service. Really fantastic meal and visit.
I’ve been to your restaurant several times and enjoyed it throughly. On this day, however, I felt our server was rushing us to finish quickly. We were interrupted a few times to be asked for our order. We then ordered an app to share, along with entrees. Our hot entrees were served within 1-2 minutes after we received our app. We had barely started the app. The kitchen or the server should have better planned the timing of the two courses.
Great meal as always. One of our favorite and most consistent meals in the area. Wish the waiter hadn’t tipped over that glass of water all over my leg but stuff happens!
Incredible!! Definitely I will recomennd it. Lovely patio and the crew it’s excellent
We were very disappointed. Made reservations for our anniversary. We were seated at a 4 person table in the middle of a mostly empty restaurant. The drinks were overpriced and gross. The wait staff was desperate and creepy. We ate only rolls which were bland. We left and went to a more romantic place.
My shakshuka was lukewarm and runny, and the tea was diner-level. Husband's pancakes were standard at best. Ambiance is killer, though.
Great Ambiance. Great Food. Good Service. Recommended to all I know and will be back soon.
Love this spot
Cliff’s Edge has a romantic ambiance that is matched by its delicious food and friendly service. Definitely check it out!
A lovely evening! The server was efficient and adorable!! The food was fantastic, even made accommodations for one of us with tricky dietary needs. And try the cocktails- yum!! We’ll be back!
THe restaurant is kind of hard to find it since it is hidden inside corner of street.... but found it! and the overall design& interior of restaurant would be better for friends meeting or family meeting rather than for couples. But, food was delicious and servers were nice.
The food was incredible and the atmosphere was stunning. We were a little ahead of schedule and early for our reservation, but we were sat very quickly even though there was a full restaurant.
Although my wife and I have been fans of this establishment for some years, our past visit was truly disappointing. I took my wife to celebrate her birthday and our newborn baby's first outing and left feeling deflated. Although the reception staff were very nice and attentive, the waiter seemed more preoccupied with other things away from our table. Never a greeting but rather a mild scowl, always eager to get away from the table and then handed us the check without waiting for us to finish our meal or even order dessert! It made the food taste bland and inspired us get up and leave quickly feeling unsatisfied and hungry. Perhaps the waiter was having a bad day, but we don't think we'll be going back anytime soon.
Great environment under trees and foliage outside, amazing food at reasonable prices for Silverlake.
The food was very sub-par, out of 3 dishes nobody liked them. I had been once before with a much better experience. Server forgot items, never followed up on requests. Poor experience
I had the fried chicken and although the food was good, it wasn’t the best I’ve had. Really like the atmosphere of the restaurant though. I would go back and try something else from the menu.
Lovely setting, an intriguing menu, and professional service
Went out for our reg Saturday night dinner date. Awesome spot. Highly recommended.
This place has been an old favorite for years. Great food, great ambiance and service has always been fantastic.
Really loved this place! The atmosphere the food the drinks. Amazing place!!
The ambiance was absolutely stunning, however, we made reservations for 8pm and were sat at 9pm. Our waitress would disappear for extremely long periods of time, and the food was not mind blowing. But if you want to go for the scenery, that was lovely and the drinks were A+.
