We were 'out of towners' staying at the Cliff House... We were pleasantly surprised with the superb dinner we enjoyed at the Cliff House.. Such a broad selection on the menu and reasonably priced in a beautiful. The chef was very much hitting it out of the park that night.
Service was very attentive. Quite a good selection of wines as well.

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday breakfast at the Cliff House at Pikes Peak. We had a large party and they seated us in the private room. The atmosphere was gracious and the staff very attentive. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

The food all had one thing in common- too rich! If they didn’t cover everything with some type of sauce or cheese, true flavors might have come out. The service was good, although the main wait staff didn’t take the time to see if we have any questions about the menu. I felt that we were rushed through our meal, which is too bad, because the ambiance was beautiful.

We were celebrating a special occasion for my son. I needed to request an earlier dinner reservation for our group a couple days before the event. The dining staff was very helpful and accommodating. We also were going to arrive about 15 minutes late for our reservation. We called and they were very understanding. We were greeted quickly and the staff was friendly. Our table was ready in a very charming location with a fireplace. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive without being overbearing. The whole group enjoyed the drinks, wines, food, and evening. When I let the waiter know that we were celebrating a special occasion he brought a plate without chocolates and the Congratulations written on the plate for my son along with the desserts we ordered. Overall it was a very memorable and pleasant experience.

Although there were only a few dining for lunch, the service was very slow. It took a good 10 minutes to get a glass of wine. The food was well presented and very good. I had the burger and it was delicious. The restaurant is in a historic building and is worth a visit. Complimentary valet parking made life easy, since parking in Manitou is not easy on a busy day.

The service was wonderful , I came in for a reserved breakfast and was seated by the window in a beautiful Victorian dining room . The food was wonderful and the presentation was magnificent . Thank you for making my experience a great one .

Paul gave us great service. We took our friends here who were visiting from Bucks County PA where historic venues are the rule. We were proud to show them our little corner of the world with equal charm and the beauty of the Rockies.

Atmosphere was nice, old school but food was horrendous. We started with ahi tuna and it could have been made by my 10 year old daughter. Haphazardly cut slices of ahi on top of bland cake of sticky rice, seriously, that's it. Crab cake was fine but nothing to write home about. Entrees were just as lack luster. Lamb chops were so fatty that I maybe got two decent bites. The potatoes side dish may have been made 2 weeks prior by my aging aunt and reheated in the microwave, wait, my aunt cooks better than that. I think they may have actually used one of those box au gratin mixes. Lobster tail was cooked to rubber status. Horrible. We ordered wine with dinner and it took so long that we had eaten half our meal before it got to the table. Incredibly expensive for, at best, catered wedding food. Do not spend the money to eat here. Waste of $300!! I would have rather drank margs and eaten Mexican food at The Loop.

This restaurant is worth a try. It is a lovely dining room area with very attentive servers. They have an eclectic menu that offers up any choices . We had the scallops and the elk chops. The quality was excellent, portions were generous and presentation was appealing. Small glitch was handled graciously, and their brewed coffee is actually good.

A side note...arrived late and had room service prepare a burger for me. I'm still drooling! Best I've had in a long time.

We have had good experiences here, but this was not one of them. Celebrating a birthday on a Tuesday night, service was slow and dining room was not busy- maybe 4 other tables. Elk entree was tough and inedible, salmon and shrimp entrees were fine. Disappointed and will certainly not be returning any time soon.

Went to the Cliff House March 20th for our 48th wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday . We ordered the filets and 2 dessert souffles. The manager came and asked how we were doing. My husband then asked for a wine list. He said "I was told you didn't want any alcohol" - we hadn't ever said that. Wine and bread & salads arrived. At this point, a 2nd waiter took over serving us. As we finished our wine and waited for dinner, we expected the waiter to return to see if we needed anything, yet he passed our table numerous times and seemed to fuss over the people at a table directly behind us. Finally my husband flagged him down asked for more bread, he made a flippant unintelligible comment and brought bread to us rather begrudingly. Still no offer of another drink. As he was leaving the table, my husband asked if he could get another glass of wine so he could enjoy it with his dinner. After a long wait, entres arrived. Filets were rather cold, and tasteless, potato was not good, seemed like a leftover scalloped potato to me. Still no wine, finally waiter stopped and remembered he'd forgotten the wine. When my husband said he'd already finished his meal, the waiter said he'd bring it to him right away. He brought it back with more attitude. He returned and asked if there was anything else( never mentioning the souffles). We asked what about the souffles? After at least 15 minutes our first waiter returned to the table and apologized saying only 1 of the souffles had been cooked, but now the other was on its way. We did not want to wait another 20 minutes, but he assured us it was coming soon. We ended up waiting at least another 30 minutes. In the end, 2 souffles came out, 1 flat, the other fresh. From start to finish we had been there 2.5 hours. Food at best was mediocre, service not good. Management did comp the souffles, but by then our romantic evening was ruined, our anniversary was never even mentioned.

Absolutely phenomenal. My girlfriend and I got the goat cheese tart, the duck and rocky mountain trout, and a bottle of wine. Food was outstanding and the sommelier was very knowledgeable. Easily one of the best meals I've ever had. Hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are incredible as well. Would reccomend for dinner or as a hotel.

We have been looking for quality romantic restaurant for quite a while and have now found the perfect spot. The level of service and quality of food can NOT be beat dining here. You are treated like royalty from the minute you arrive to when you leave. Every employee obviously enjoys their jobs and go out of the way to make sure you are happy. This was the best French Onion soup I have ever tasted and the sauces served with your entrees is incredible. I cant say enough about the great experience we had and will definitely will be returning as much as possible.

Being a local, we dine here fairly often. The food was excellent - French Onion soup was perfect, Duck Duet and Salmon Oscar, finished off by a Grand Marnier souffle.

Although the restaurant was not very crowded, the service was off - waiter (Lorenzo) was not attentive and disappeared for 20 - 30 minutes at a time.
