Excellent meal. portions are generous. service was great.
Amazing food, best duck I have had in awhile!! Lorenzo was very knowledgeable & nice! Will be back again!
Beautiful dining too, excellent food and service. Can’t wait to go back. The dining room is lovely and the front porch is too fun for drinks.
Outstanding food and service. It was still the off season so the dining room was quiet.
Wow! Bar none one of the best dining rooms on the Front Range.
Went for our wedding anniversary. We love coming here as it is always amazing. Tanner and Jonathan we very attentive. Love this place and the outstanding food.
This restaurant is worth a try. It is a lovely dining room area with very attentive servers. They have an eclectic menu that offers up any choices . We had the scallops and the elk chops. The quality was excellent, portions were generous and presentation was appealing. Small glitch was handled graciously, and their brewed coffee is actually good.
A side note...arrived late and had room service prepare a burger for me. I'm still drooling! Best I've had in a long time.
We have had good experiences here, but this was not one of them. Celebrating a birthday on a Tuesday night, service was slow and dining room was not busy- maybe 4 other tables. Elk entree was tough and inedible, salmon and shrimp entrees were fine. Disappointed and will certainly not be returning any time soon.
Went to the Cliff House March 20th for our 48th wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday . We ordered the filets and 2 dessert souffles. The manager came and asked how we were doing. My husband then asked for a wine list. He said "I was told you didn't want any alcohol" - we hadn't ever said that. Wine and bread & salads arrived. At this point, a 2nd waiter took over serving us. As we finished our wine and waited for dinner, we expected the waiter to return to see if we needed anything, yet he passed our table numerous times and seemed to fuss over the people at a table directly behind us. Finally my husband flagged him down asked for more bread, he made a flippant unintelligible comment and brought bread to us rather begrudingly. Still no offer of another drink. As he was leaving the table, my husband asked if he could get another glass of wine so he could enjoy it with his dinner. After a long wait, entres arrived. Filets were rather cold, and tasteless, potato was not good, seemed like a leftover scalloped potato to me. Still no wine, finally waiter stopped and remembered he'd forgotten the wine. When my husband said he'd already finished his meal, the waiter said he'd bring it to him right away. He brought it back with more attitude. He returned and asked if there was anything else( never mentioning the souffles). We asked what about the souffles? After at least 15 minutes our first waiter returned to the table and apologized saying only 1 of the souffles had been cooked, but now the other was on its way. We did not want to wait another 20 minutes, but he assured us it was coming soon. We ended up waiting at least another 30 minutes. In the end, 2 souffles came out, 1 flat, the other fresh. From start to finish we had been there 2.5 hours. Food at best was mediocre, service not good. Management did comp the souffles, but by then our romantic evening was ruined, our anniversary was never even mentioned.
We had a very nice dinner here. The food was delicious but the service was slow as it looked like they were understaffed. Thanks
The food was phenomenal !
The meal was never rushed, a very relaxing dining experience with superb flavors.
Absolutely phenomenal. My girlfriend and I got the goat cheese tart, the duck and rocky mountain trout, and a bottle of wine. Food was outstanding and the sommelier was very knowledgeable. Easily one of the best meals I've ever had. Hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are incredible as well. Would reccomend for dinner or as a hotel.
Great meal in a lovely setting! Chef’s gift appetizer was delicious! Elk steak and the Shrimp and Scallops was also delicious....
Wait staff was very attentive and friendly! Bread pudding dessert was awesome!
Food was good as usual. Have been there before. REALLY enjoy the live guitarist and overall noise level that allows for conversation without yelling at one another.
We have been looking for quality romantic restaurant for quite a while and have now found the perfect spot. The level of service and quality of food can NOT be beat dining here. You are treated like royalty from the minute you arrive to when you leave. Every employee obviously enjoys their jobs and go out of the way to make sure you are happy. This was the best French Onion soup I have ever tasted and the sauces served with your entrees is incredible. I cant say enough about the great experience we had and will definitely will be returning as much as possible.
Absolutely wonderful food, with excellent service and great ambiance.
Everything was amazing until the server got distracted talking to the one other party in the restaurant and took 20 minutes to bring us our check, but this is still a special place and I'm sure that was a one time event.
The Cliff House never fails to deliver the best food!
The Cliff House is our go to special occasion restaurant. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing!
Wonderful place to have a great quiet diner
We liked everything about our dining experience. The staff was very nice, the food was excellent! Very fun evening.
Being a local, we dine here fairly often. The food was excellent - French Onion soup was perfect, Duck Duet and Salmon Oscar, finished off by a Grand Marnier souffle.
Although the restaurant was not very crowded, the service was off - waiter (Lorenzo) was not attentive and disappeared for 20 - 30 minutes at a time.
We eat here fairly often and the food is usually amazing but was just okay this particular evening. We had a very good time and the service and friendly staff was great as has always been our experience. I recommend this restraunt to you for a great evening.
Nice historic building. Close to shops. Attentive staff.
Excellent lunch, service, ambiance. My second time in, will definitely come back.
Anniversary dinner. We love the Cliff House, and made reservations at their restaurant. Unpretentious, and great quality and ambiance. Presentation and food are excellent
Delicious food with excellent service. The restaurant complements the whole Cliff House hotel experience.
Oh my gosh! The hotel and the restaurant both were wonderful! Will definitely be back next time we're in the Manitou Springs area!
Great food, great service and excellent atmosphere
The diningroom at CliffHouse is elegant, the food very good and the service outstanding.
We had a fantastic experience at the Cliff House! The food was fantastic, the service was attentive and considerate and the atmosphere was perfect for a quiet, romantic dinner. We will definitely go back!
We dine at Cliff House on numeros occasions. Love the atmosphere, ambiance, food and service. You make us feel special
This was not our first visit to the Cliff House, and will not be our last. They are a class act, and pull it off in a comfortable friendly manner. We had a variety of special requirements amongst our party, and they graciously accommodated all of them. We went to cap off Christmas Day with a relaxed quality experience and were not disappointed in any way!
Finally we were asked our name which the hostess told three host’s about but no one bothered to address me by name as we were lead to our table. The waiter and his team quickly appeared to tell us about their wine list – my wife ordered a glass. The waiter started to leave and I had to stop him and ask about cocktails. I ordered a gin martini. The drinks and breads arrived promptly as did the waiter to take our orders. I ordered the French Onion soup as an appetizer which we all shared – it was delicious. Thank the Lord we did.
Our entrée’s arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes after being ordered. My daughter’s Shrimp Scampi topped with Risotto arrived only partially warm and the Risotto had already started to coagulate. My wife’s Salmon Oscar arrived in tact but with the slightest amount of Crab and Hollandaise Sauce as possible. I had ordered the Elk Chop it arrived almost cold, so I asked the waiter to have it heated up. Our meals had obviously sat for a period of time before serving. I got my meal back just as my family was about to finish their meals and it was tasteless and dry as could be. Even the demi glaze had no flavor.
I told the assistant waiter that I was disappointed about my meal. In fairness they immediately took my plate and removed the Elk from my bill with apologizes. We asked the assistant for the bill. He quickly returned and took my credit card – moments later the waiter appeared with another bill which he took back when I updated him on what his assistant had already done.
Upon returning to the vestibule to regain my automobile there is no valet or valet station to be seen. Once again I had to ask the hotel clerk about my car. The car quickly appeared, my wife and adult daughter were left to go down the outdoor stairs without assistance while I dealt with the valet who by then was at the top of the stairs. The end to a less than successful Christmas dinner.
Outstanding food and service. Staff is very knowledgeable. The chef is a perfectionist. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
6th time to dine here, the Duck is always amazing!
My friends had not been to the Cliff House and plan to return.
This is a great restaurant in a grand old hotel. We had our company Christmas party there and stayed there as well. Very pricey but very good. The elk chops were fantastic. The only negative was that the service was perhaps a little slow.
It was fabulous experience all around with great food & wonderful service.
