A lovely evening on the veranda
Service was very poor, mixed credit card charges, very, very slow, the wrong drink was served. Said they didn’t do reservations through Open Table anymore and didn’t believe that we had a reservation. Manager was rude upon arrival and when we tried to get her attention to ask about a drink that had not been served, we were told she had to serve food and couldn’t help
us. They weren’t that busy either The food was good and the atmosphere like we remember so we will give them another chance. Call for your reservation, DO NOT USE OPEN TABLE!!!
The food was excellent. 1st dessert souffle we ever had...rare to find a souffle especially at this altitude. The duck was very well done, as was the chicken breast and very, very good trout. Very well chosen wine list as well.
Lovely meal and wonderful classical guitarist
Bradford is fantastic, great recommendations!
Felt rushed to get in and out. Especially the next morning at breakfast after staying the night at the hotel.
We loved it and will be coming back.
We have spent two anniversaries and three birthday celebrations at the Cliff House and once for no occasion at all. Never disappointed.
Celebrated our anniversary with a great meal at the Cliff House in Manitou Springs, CO. The food and device was excellent. Classical guitar artist playing in the dining room made it even better.
They have taken so many steps to ensure sanitation and social distancing. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We celebrate our anniversary there every year and there was no hesitation to when visiting this year.
Excellent service and food!!!

Great food and ambiance at a quaint location in beautiful Manitou Springs.
Amazing experience and Cliffhouse saved our anniversary after a terrible experience at a restaurant that we left just minutes before. Thank you :)
We celebrated our anniversary with dinner here. The service was really good, especially with their reduced staffing due to the COVID restrictions currently in place. The food was delicious, we both had the filet. We shared the chocolate mousse cake, which was rich and creamy!
The Cliff House has a reputation for fine dining. What happened? I understand that Covid 19 has made an impact, but our experience was far from fine. Weekly my husband and I dine out. There was zero ambiance. A large empty room. Tables and chairs and nothing. The wine was excellent. The food was tasteless . I feel serving the whole trout, minus the head, is unappetizing. The chicken was boring and minimal. The service was excellent. I suggest you enjoy fine dining at Marigold’s Restaurant. An exceptional place, atmosphere, excellent cruise, and desserts to die for, priceless.
We dined on June 12th. Social distancing was still required. We had a delicious meal which was our first time out in 3 months.
Very much appreciate the consideration by Cliff House staff for the virus situation. All wore masks. Our table satisfied social distancing. As expected the service, food and ambiance were excellent. It may not be the same as before but we felt safer given that this was our first dining out experience since the pandemic restrictions were activated. Thank you!
Fine food prepared and presenred beatifully. Excellent service. Great for that special occasion.
The food was excellent and the service was good. They were operating on a skeleton crew due to Covid guidelines. Would highly recommend.
Birthday for a friend. Could not have been better.
The duck thigh was superb. Cliff house salad perfectly dressed. Orange souffle melted in your mouth. Everything delicious.
Unfortunately because your waiter could not control his emotions and literally yelled at a couple behind us, we will not be eating here anymore. To actually yell ‘you can’t fix stupid’ and ‘tell them they can just get up and leave if they don’t like it’, was completely unacceptable. I was embarrassed for the couple and the poor couple was staying at the Cliff House. It turned a beautiful evening on the patio for dinner into a stressful and chaotic situation. We’ve dined here many times, in fact our first date was here on Dec 25, 2013, so we have wonderful memories, but this sucked any future dinners here away.
It was nice; we were the only ones there
The staff were amazing made a great night wonderful
Save your money. Eat in the town.
At 9:00 on Friday night my wife and I came down into the dinning room from our hotel room which was very nice. We came to the Cliff House to celebrate our 39th anniversary. It had been several years since we stayed at the Cliff House and had dinner as well.
We thought it was a little off with the fact that there were only two tables being served in the dinning room at 9:00 but, thought that our meal would come out timely which could be a plus. At 9:20 the other two tables where gone and we didn't see the food until 10:00.
The wine selection was nice. We had a bottle. Our server was "new to helping people with wine" but that was alright because we knew what we wanted.
The food: to be nice I won't go into it but, I would suggest that your save your money. Just drink the wine in the bar. If the owners of the restaurant want to know why at 9:00 pm business is dead, send in a secret dinner and check it out. I/we did get a kick out of the cooks in the back singing a pirate of the Caribbean song while they slowly cooked the food that finally showed up at 10:00. The food that came to our table was a poor example of what use to be great. PS the onion soup was good.
We have dined at Cliff house multiple times over the years and the dining experience is better than ever. The food and beverage prices are a real value compared to other high end restaurants in the region. We were very pleased.
I was disappointed with Cliff House, and I had such high expectations. I am a simple home cook, no food critic here. I ordered sea scallops with risotto. My husband order the lamb. My scallops were cooked well but a little too salty. The risotto was thick like glue and sat in a pool of butter. It was so over the top rich I couldn’t eat it. My husbands roast lamb was mostly fat. He tore it apart and found little meat. The service was good and we had a quiet table near the fireplace. I saw there was an executive chef and was hoping for fresh, flavorful food without the need for excessive additives (butter and salt). We both left very disappointed. For the price I would definitely go elsewhere.
The food is excellent, our server, Morgan, listened very carefully and double checked to make sure she got our order exactly as we wanted it.
Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The service was excellent, the food was absolutely perfect. Meeting Chef Chris Lynch was such a huge treat.
This is always a very nice dining experience. The Cliff House is a special place. This time I had the salmon with the Emperor's Forbidden rice. The salmon was delicious, but much of the rice was as hard as popcorn kernels. Ouch.
My wife's meal was terrific.
My wife and I loved this place and the next time we want a little get away we will be staying at the hotel. This time we just had an amazing dinner there.
Awesome place 100% worth going to.
Misplaced reservation but even with one, had to wait 15 minutes. Had to ask for a server after sitting for 5 minutes Unacknowledged plus table seated after us received service before us. Host was too busy at his stand scribbling on his pad to say good night
Food and Service were very good! The Filet Mingon was delightful!
Nothing short of outstanding! The Flagstaff House (Above Boulder) of Southern Colo! We've eaten there now twice, and each time great food, service! Anyone looking for a great meal, outstanding service...go here!
The stay started out “shaky”. We arrived very late and were checked into a Room over entrance. Charlie was not on duty, if he were this problem would not have happened. By 5:30am the noise from guest started. The gentleman checking us in should never be using Room 207.
The next morning upon saying something to the front desk the manager immediately changed our room. We were very appreciative.
Food, service, ambiance are wonderful!
Our waitress was amazing ! She was always checking on us and was so very polite and nice.
Fabulous, romantic, quiet, great food and selections!
We have gone to the Cliff House for close to 15 years now. We have always enjoyed it, but found the last two times a little disappointing. It was very drafty in the main dining room, as it was a cold night and cold air could be felt through the windows and front door. Our dinners were acceptable, but not outstanding for the price paid. My salmon was dry and whatever it was laid upon was just crunchy and not flavorful. My husband's meat had gristle, which really shouldn't have been allowed to be plated. I'm not sure I'll go back for awhile.
