Waiter was less than friendly or helpful basically ruined the experience. Didn’t explain any details or offer information on menu items. Would stop at the table for only seconds not even allowing us to even ask a question. Dessert menu was never offered. Online menus was completely different than in house menu. Online menu was our whole reason for our visit. Really disappointed as it was a birthday dinner for my husband.
I really wanted to love this place. My girlfriend and I ordered the same steak prepared medium rare and hers came out well done and mine came out the most salty steak I’ve ever had. When asked about the food before we ordered it the server seem to really struggle to describe each entrée or side so we were surprised when a few things came out looking the way they did based on the description we were given. In no way was it worth the $175. Maybe $75.
Decided to try for dinner.
Our friend had the porkchop and looked great.
Had the French onion soup which was good. Our friend also had and their soup was cold.
Food was amazing, one of the best filets I've had in the city. Lobster and shrimp gnocchi is out of this world. Great service. Nothing but good things to say about our experience.
Restaurant was amazing . Food and staff . Meat was tender . Food came out in a timely manner . Would definitely go back !
Not many people there for a Friday at 7:30, less than half full, however our server was more than kind of aggressive in rushing everything along.
Stuffed pepper app was great but the main course was out before we finished the app. She didn’t have any interest in spacing the service out. Steaks were sub par, and the garlic spinach sits in a vat of garlic butter. I’m not the chef but I’m not sure why they thought that was a good idea. Check came without asking for it, and the final straw was her taking the check (after tipping) and saying “let me get this out of your way”… she hadn’t even removed the plates but took the check. Not sure I would recommend or go back.
Steak was way too salty - too much salt and seasoning to the point it was almost inedible. Waitress was incredibly slow with our non alcoholic drinks and brought wrong side out.
The food was outstanding and cooked to perfection and the wine (8 Days in the Dessert) was paired well with the filet mignon. I would recommend this restaurant for a great place for date night. The service was spot on and very friendly.
Exceptional! Accommodated my family with such professionalism. Service was the best!
Good quality was borderline and steaks were over priced
I live in Illinois and went on a girls trip last year, the Uber Driver suggested it and so glad he did! Best steak I ever had! So this year I was going to be back that way with my hubby and had to make reservations to take him there and they did not disappoint. He was SO happy with his meal and said that it was a fabulous dinner. For dessert we tried the salted carmel brownie( oh my goodness). Save room for that!
Had an enjoyable brunch. Waiter was very nice. Food was delicious. Very relaxed atmosphere. We will come back for brunch
Everything was really good, from the salad to the mains and sides. Good drinks, a nice selection of local beers. This is what it says it is: a chop house- with good food.
I visited Cleveland Chop for a nice date with my boyfriend while visiting Cleveland. We had a really great time! The hostess was accommodating when we asked to sit on their secluded patio as opposed to inside. Their starter bread is cornbread in a mini cast iron skillet. It was amazing! We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. It was so crisp and the accompanying sauces were great. It was NOT rubbery like calamari can easily become. I ordered the filet mignon and my boyfriend ordered the Prime New York Strip. Both of our cuts of meat were really nice and cooked well. Their selection of sides was unique and gave you a variety of choices of classic steak sides with a twist. The servings were large and worth the money. We finished the meal with the lava cake dessert which was so decadent and rich. It is paired with a really nice vanilla ice cream which was a match made in heaven. I also had 3 cocktails that were all wonderful! The overall service and experience was really great. We will definitely keep Cleveland Chop in mind the next time we visit the city!
Wedge salad with housemate buttermilk garlic ranch dressing and complimentary cornbread were both great. My cracker crusted walleye was great although the ride pilaf it was paired with was more like risotto (and I'm definitely not complaining). Daughter said her filet was great. Crispy Brussels sprouts were fantastic. Steak fries were so-so, as was the cheesecake.
Cleveland Chop is a great restaurant. The old school atmosphere you feel like you should be sitting next to a mob boss eating a steak. The food is fantastic and the service is very good. This is one of the better steak houses in Cleveland.
Great food and great service.
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and the meal was fabulous and service was outstanding! We will definitely come back😊
Perfect choice for a 20th anniversary dinner. The steak was perfect - one of the best I've ever had.
It was wonderful! The staff were so nice and the food was delicious. Would recommend!
Food was delicious. Server was attentive and provided knowledge about the menu and what to eat.
Will definitely return when I’m back in the Cleveland area.
Very nice restaurant! Food choices are excellent and meal was great. Of course nothing could top the Gorgeous woman I was having dinner with.
Our waiter Germaine was really nice and attentive to our group. Cowboy steak was delicious.
The pictures don’t do justice to this well appointed establishment. Well thought out for post COVID service.
Good food and service. Would come back.
We love the Chop! Always consistent great food and service
Server was extremely helpful, food was absolutely amazing. The honey butter cornbread was some of the best I’ve ever had. All staff was super friendly and the noise level was perfect not too quiet not too loud. Only down was our lava cake was served cold not hot
The steak was tender and flavorful. Jalapeños corn was a great side. And the corn bread provided is worth the trip alone.
This was a return visit for our family. We came to celebrate a college graduation and enjoyed every bite. The calamari was some of the best we have had! The entrees we enjoyed ranged from steak to short ribs and chicken piccata. We enjoyed every bite and highly recommend this place!!
Hostess was not very friendly. Could care less that we were there. Waitress was hardly ever around. Toile 10 minutes to even be greeted at the table. Drinks were empty and we would have to ask for refills. Not friendly at all. Food was good. Had to wit for our bill and when it showed up it was just dropped on the table. Just such a bad experience field an upscale restaurant. Disappointed. You’d think with the year we just had the service would have been stellar.
Excellent food. Great location. Was able to carry a conversation with my wife without having to yell
Was quite disappointed. We have dined here several times prior and it is usually wonderful, however, my steak (filet) had so much fat. My husband is a chef and said they probably gave me the "chain" cut or end. Our service was very poor, my husband had to ask for coffee, she didn't ask anyone else at our table if they wanted some, then my Uncle had to stop her and ask her for coffee as well. Not very attentive. I selected no on "would I refer anyone to CC" because of this visit. It will be a while before we go back.
Very nice place, food came out fast and was pretty good. Steaks might be slightly over priced for the quality but still good. The inside is Not quite as nice as it seems online but still a decent spot for a nice dinner. I had us down for a birthday but they didn’t acknowledge it at all so that was disheartening. Would try again.
Our server was very accommodating and knowledgeable! The food was simply delicious!
Food was amazing! Will definitely be coming back soon !!
This was our first time dining here and my husband and I both thought that it was the best meal we’ve had since moving to the Cleveland area 3 years ago. The calamari was amazing, the cornbread was delicious, my husband had the Cowbow Steak with mashed potatoes and I had the Blue Filet with Brussels sprouts. We also had the sweet corn gnocchi. The mashed potatoes were good, but nothing spectacular. Everything else was absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to dine here again.
My steak was great, but my boyfriend’s medium rare filet was almost zombie rare. Luckily he’s not super picky, because it was hard to find our server. The sweet corn gnocchi was not what we expected and we didn’t really care for it. We were just a little disappointed with the mediocre service and so-so sides when you pay that kind of money for a meal.
Overall good experience. Would go back. The french onion soup a little spicy for my taste but I did enjoy the burger.
The food was great and flavorful! The hostess and server were friendly. The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion. It was very comfortable and clean inside. Definitely recommend!
The food was delicious and our server was very attentive.
