The baked potato and green salad are extremely basic. The cheese bread and pickled purple cabbage are freakin amazing!!!!

As in the past, Clearman's Steak N Stein was great! The only sub-par issue was that of the service prior to our dinner seating. Waiting for our other 8 guests to arrive, my wife and I sat around the fountain to have a drink and peanuts. While the restaurant was very understandably unbusy (on a Monday at 5:00 pm), it took a while for someone to take our drink order. Also, when we asked for peanuts from our server, it seemed that he forgot so I went to the bar to request peanuts. About 10 minutes later, our server came with the peanuts. The bar side of the restaurant must be more attentive when only it's busy(?). As in the past, however, we really enjoyed our dinner, once seated.

This place has an old school vibe that includes good good w/ great service. If you want to relax get away, have a romantic date this is the place. Reminds me of a scene from one of the classic movies.

As a child growing up this was the graduation, anniversary restaurant we went to. Now with my family we come here when we can. The service and food are wonderful!!! Perfect romantic spot

First time here. Great service especially from the hostess who doubled as a waitress. I don't recall her name but she was outstanding. We had a steak, halibut and chicken entrees. The steak and halibut were great but the chicken was on the dry side. The potatoes served with the meal were great. The onion rings were much better when hot then cold. Would have liked to have had a larger salad.

My dad had been here years ago when they opened and we took him again for Father's Day. The portions are large and service was great. Our steak and prime rib were cooked the way we ordered. The cheese bread is excellent and they provide refills. The potatoes are huge and come with all the toppings on the side. Expect to get more than one meal out of your dinner. In the winter they have a brick fire pit in the bar but it is converted into a fountain in the spring time. Old fashion ambience inside.

Our recent dining experience at Steak N Stein was enjoyable, as always; but there was one flaw -- they had a lounge entertainer for Father's Day and, while he was good, the music was far too loud. We could hardly hear each other at our table which was in a separate room. Food was very good and, of course, plentiful!

We went here for Father's Day and enjoyed it very much. We received wonderful service and the dinner was delicious!!! We will definitely come back.
