Food and service is always excellent. Love both of their salads (letttuce with blue cheese & red cabbage). Can't get enough of the cheese bread. A fun place to go with friends. You can munch on peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. Our kids grew up going there and have fond memories.

Hostess, Erica, was amazing. We sat in the bar which was a mistake because our server was not very attentive. Seemed very routine. Food is always excellent & on point so we'll always come back! Please don't change anything.

I had been looking forward to eating after hearing so much about the peanut shells on the floor and the woodsy ambiance. What a huge letdown!! First there were three in our party and we were seated not in a booth or table in the well lit warm conducive to having a nice dining experience instead area. We were instead seated in the land of the lost ( back of the house). Were it was dark and became increasingly colder as we ate. Now here's the kicker one of my party was celebrating a birthday and I had mentioned it to my sever "Don" he said he would take care of it. Well he didn't !! He either forgot or just blew it off because they wanted to close that section of the house. As we left we walked through the well lit warm very lively dining area that I imagined we would experience, instead we were in the land of the lost.

Thought this place would be a great steakhouse based on the amount of cars we see there every weekend. Overall staff was courteous and friendly except our server. She never smiled, didn't explain the menu or food preparation and when. We asked how the ribs were prepared, she said sarcastically "In the oven." She obviously didn't want to be there and seemed to not know she was in the service field.
Now for the food, seems overpriced for the quality. I would have expected higher quality than a country diner for my $35 meal. There were 3 of us in our party, each ordered steak, 2 medium rare one medium we'll, all 3 came rare.
Very disappointed. Rather go to the Ranch in Anaheim and spend a few more dollars on my meal for better service and quality .

I hadn't eaten at a Northwoods Inn since Belmont Shore probably 15 years ago. We had a great experience before heading to the La Mirada Theater for a performance. We we definitely be back!

Northwoods inn is always a treat. The steaks are amazing in every way imaginable. Plus, you get to eat all of the peanuts you can stomach.

Janine our waitress was on her JOB. She didn't skip a beat. Very friendly, remembers all of her orders and placed everything in front of the right person who had order it. We never had to ask for anything because she kept up with asking us first and bringing items that we wanted without having to ask. Impeccable service by Janine. We will definitely ask for her every time we come to Northwoods Inn

North Woods Inn is a more rustic Clearman's restaurant, (the other local one being the fine-dining Steak and Stein in Pico Rivera). That said the food is just as good and the service is timely without being intrusive. Reasonably priced wines to pair with wonderful steaks and of course the famous Clearman's Cheese Bread (can't get enough).

Highly Recommended.

Love, love, love Northwood's Inn. It is the go-to restaurant for special occasions. Go every year for my birthday and my husband's birthday. Since we live a distance away, that is about all we can do each year. If we were closer, we would be there more often.

If you've never been, don't be afraid to try their cheese butter. Get extra and put on your steak! YUM!

Been coming here for 20+ years. My steak was not how I asked it to be prepared. I asked for Medium Well and it came out Medium Rare. When it came back out, it was burned to a crisp (Well Done). Everything else was great, but unfortunately for the cost, the meat needs to be prepared correctly.

My partner and I were looking for a nice pre-show dinner before a show at the La Mirada theater. We made reservations for 2 were seated at a table for 8 in a family section. Server was borderline rude. Food was ok but on par with Outback or other chain steakhouses that charge 25% less. All in all a very awkward, mediocre dinner. We won't be back.

Northwoods Inn is a classic family favorite. The ambience is a unique blend of hunting lodge and grandma's house. We all love being able to throw the peanut shells on the floor. The host and server were both great. The food is consistent. It is expensive for what it is - average, not-so-healthy American fare. But you are paying for the whole experience, and you always end up with enough leftovers for another entire meal.

Delicious food no doubt! A little on the expensive side, about $40 a person, for a weekly dinner spot but if your looking to treat yourself with some good steak (or shrimp for all those like myself who don't eat red meat).. This is the place to do it! Eat like a king without the dressing up in fancy clothes. Awesome.

Very enjoyable, been here several times. Currently decorated for the holidays. Multiple families there after Disneyland for a large meal. Salads exceptional and they come with each meal.

I have never had a bad experience with the food or service but the wait times and front desk can be overwhelmed. If I want a steak and don't want to dress up, Clearman's fits the bill.

The server was fast and attentive on a busy Saturday night. High regard for the bar and table waiting staff.

I have seen the complaints on price but by the time I am done with peanuts, salad and cabbage, I have made it worth the trip. The menu is available on-line and the weights are listed so if you didn't want to pay the price you shouldn't be surprised. The baked potato needs a wheel barrow to carry out.

We advised our waiter at the outset that we had only about 75 minutes as we were going to a play; he said that was fine and he'd be sure to expedite our order. The salads came out pretty quickly, but then started a long wait for our entrees. He stopped back twice saying they'd be out in "just a couple of minutes," then we didn't see him for 15 minutes. Finally, we had to cancel our order and leave without receiving our entrees. He claimed he'd been having trouble w/ the kitchen all night. He charged us for the bar tab. Totally rank service. Clearmans is obviously popular and my bad review won't make a dent in that, but they've lost my business for good.

I have been to Clearman's several times and I always look forward to their 2 well known salads. One is iceberg lettuce with a creamy buttermilk blue cheese dressing and the other is a red cabbage salad. I don't EVER eat blue cheese and I usually pick red cabbage out of any salad; however, here I mix the 2 salads together as do most and "inhale" the combination. Of course this is accompanied by their delicious garlic cheese bread. I'm telling you, it's magical. Our waitress told us that the employees mix the 2 salads, put them on the bread, fold it and call it a "Clearman's Taco". Oh BTW, our shared entree was a 16 ounce ribeye with baked potato AND rice pilaf. The steak was nothing special and the rice pilaf was rather dry. SALAD!!

The place to go if your a meat lovin foodie and you have money to spend on a great meal! The filet minion was fantastic! As well as the salad and cheese bread!! If you're on a diet this WILL be the place to have a 'cheat' meal!! Also, if you make your reservation online, be sure to remind them if you are celebrating a special occasion. I don't think they pay attention to any special requests specified!

The food was very good and the service was acceptable. I would say though that when we told our waiter that we were getting tight for a theater date, he was very responsive. I think that prices are a little high as well. To me the ambiance is a little cold, but of course, its a log cabin.

The drinks from the bar were noticeably weak.

We decided to go to a nice dinner in the middle of the week and we were not disappointed. We love the food at Northwoods Inn. It is a little pricey so we don't go there too often but we decided to treat ourselves. The steak and lobster was good as usual although we asked for our steak medium well and it came medium rare so we had to send it back. Also, our waiter was not as attentive as he could have been. But all in all it was a very nice dinner.

Very disappointed in the food. Have been to other Clearman's restaurants in the past and had very good food; however, at the La Mirada restaurant the food was not tasty, undercooked and portions were cold and small. Will not go back to this restaurant again.
