Tried out Clayton's and it was very disappointing on multiple fronts. First off we were seated by the hostess who had no mask and the table was literally wet. Someone did wipe it down with a wet rag but no sanitizing spray was used. We noted that all the employees were not wearing masks or social distancing. We probably should have just left but we're hungry and didn't want to start over. Next we ordered a salad and pizza. They did arrive quickly, in fact the best salad arrived within a minute and was clearly pre made and had very few beets. Next the pizza arrived a few minutes later, overcooked not very tasty. Honestly I don't know how they get onto Open Table but we won't be back.
Clayton's is always good and eating outside really helps the noise level.
Best food in Siesta Key
Consistent quality food and service at every visit.
Always fresh, perfectly prepared meals.
The Macadamia Crusted Grouper and Filet were outstanding! Our waitress Tina was awesome!
All around enjoyable dining experience. Quality meals, warm atmosphere and superb service. Logan, our waitress, very attentive and beyond expectations. She literally made our first night at Clayton's feel as if we were old friends. Looking forward to getting back ASAP.
Wonderful hidden gem. Small but excellent menu. Happy with everything.
Down from Boston. We come from a seafood capital, but Clayton’s does it right. Great selection, service, & dessert! Macadamia Encrusted Grouper for me, #10 Sea Scallops for my better half, and crème brûlée for two. Local, fresh, and all spot on! They are not on the Midnight Run, but a close and quiet backroad. A total winner for two or a family of twelve! Thanks Bob for your service and excellent suggestions! When we come back, Clayton’s is on our “have to” list!
We always enjoy Clayton’s. Great food, grouper is amazing, good drinks and service, choc martini is outstanding and the key lime pie is best I’ve had.
Overall good however 2 things were not clear. I was surprised their interpretation of the “half duck” was two legs. It was good but not your typical half duck or half chicken meal. Also, the wine featured on the menu was not the one they serve. According to the waitress, they’ve been out of the one on the menu and years and now they serve another version by the same maker which is much less quality. They need to change their wine list to reflect what they actually serve.
Food was really good, but our waiter was really bad! We ordered hot water and water without ice, but didn’t receive it until after our meals had been delivered.
We asked about the daily soup special and it took her 10 mins to get back to us.
Have been here a few times now and really enjoy the atmosphere, wait staff and the food! Mahi-mahi tacos, macadamia grouper and pizzas are excellent. Loved the blueberry crush drink too! Great go to for guests.
Bustling spot for the beach crowd. The trout and grouper were very good. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.
Limited menu but all is excellent.
Very accommodating for food allergies
Very good service, very popular
Make sure to make a reservation
First time back since pandemic! Not disappointed!!! Service was great and food was exactly how I remembered it!! Great!
Ate there 2xs. Loved the scallops the second time I had chicken . Chicken was ok. Lacking taste
We ate at Clayton’s Siesta Grille for dinner during a family vacation. The primary reason we selected the restaurant was because our son’s name is Clayton, but the restaurant also had great reviews. After experiencing the restaurant, I would say it was one of the best meals we had on our trip, both because of the food and service. Our server, Tina, was fantastic and very friendly. We also encountered the manager (not sure what his name was), but he had very high energy and was friendly, funny and accommodating. Our party ordered the mussels, the tomato jam jar, the macadamia crusted grouper, the fish tacos and the scallops and gnocchi, and a child’s cheese pizza. All of the food came out hot and fresh. Everything was delicious! Overall it was a great experience and we’ll certainly be back again on a future vacation.
All COVID rules followed
Nice open air dinning room
They take reservations which is great in a beach town
Our Server Jackie was great. We can always count on great food in a relaxing atmosphere at Clayton’s, and our dinner the other night was excellent.
Have eaten here many times. Always very good. Small menu but everything is good. Normally service is good but this last time it was slow so can’t give it 5 stars.
Everything was great!! Our server did a great job of making sure we had an enjoyable evening with friends. Will return again soon.
Clayton's always provides a great family experience with very good food and service.
Ckayton's never disappoints. The food is truly amazing. They have added new items. Andrea wad out wait staff and she is awesome. Try Clayton's, you will be happy you did.
Very nice evening
Great restaurant we sat on the patio, service was first class food not so much, presentation was great but it lacked badly for seasoning, absolutely no seasoning on anything we ordered.
Would go back but not overly excited.
Outstanding, as always. Great to see Clayton's hasn't missed a beat since re-opening. Don't miss the Goat Cheese and Tomato Jam appetizer! Check traffic before departing. There are occasional jams at the Stickney Point and Midnight Pass intersection.
The food and service was great but the lack of social distancing and masks was very disappointing. We sat outside but had tables of large groups on either side of us. Loud and uncomfortable.
As locals, we love Clayton's as he always stops by the table to see how everything was/is.
Great wait staff. Food is awesome. Good value
Service was slow because it was very crowded. We waited almost 20 minutes to order dessert & finally found a manager to give us our check.
Great food and waiter
Perfect after the sunset meal. Pizza was outstanding as were the grilled fish tacos. Nice seating outside. Only knock was it was on the (not busy) road. Service was perfect balance of being there when we needed and not when we were talking. Definitely recommend.
Great place with excellent food! Wonderful experience with friends. Has a high end feel!
Pizza on the regular menu But they we out of it at 7:30. We ordered three appetizers to share. Food was Luke warm and toast on appetizer was stale. Been there before and left happy. Not so much this time.
We have dined here four times. Unfortunately the last visit was considerably worse than prior visits. Our server was a bit unprofessional with demeanor and challenged a family member regarding kids menu and dessert menu questions. Also, we were given a detailed reason why a kids pizza was no longer available...and no bread was supplied or offered. While the food was good, the overall experience lacked the quality of that which we experienced in January.
We ate at Clayton’s twice during our vacation! It was fantastic
One of our favorites in the Key
Clayton’s Siesta Grill is a happy place
to eat; friendly people, excellent service and good value for the money. It can get a little noisy on busy nights but most people don’t have a problem with that. I like small, locally owned restaurants with good food and ambience so if that’s what you’re looking for, you also will love Clayton’s.
A must visit restaurant while on SK. Food is consistently well prepared and service attentive. Love the atmosphere and location!
