Very Authentic- the waitress was very patient and informative when helping me with the menu... Affordable and a quiet atmosphere to catch up with a good friend over a bottle of wine and some tasty curry!

Excellent food. Wanted my dinner hot (seasoning ) and spicy and I was not disappointed . I was there with a friend and definitely will go back with my wife.

Went with a first timer, staff went out of their way to make this a wonderful experience ! Even said they would bring different entree if newbie was not pleased with their choice of dinner. No worries here, all was delicious. One of our group, said it was better than indeblue. A must try! Fresh, hot and tasty food, has a very homemade feel. My go to Indian!

Intriqued by great reviews by the locals. Went with Open Table rez for 7 p.m. Only slot available! Place was empty secondary to local fair up the street causing road closure. Our go fortunate. Owner/waitress couldn't have been more accomodating. Nice selection of our favorites. Cooked perfectly. Generous portions. Just a nice meal. Will definitely be back

This was my first time here. A friend and I were looking for a spot in Collingswood to grab an affordable dinner before a show at The Scottish Rite Auditorium. We are frequent visitors to the neighborhood, so decided to try something new. We will be back! The food was delicious, we ate a ton for only $40 total, and the waitress suggested bringing the spicy sauce on the side so we could customize our heat level. Plus it's BYOB. Highly recommend.

This was our first visit, but we had heard about Clay Oven Palace through friends. The food exceeded our expectations. Service was prompt and friendly. We'll be returning soon.

My husband and I went here on a Saturday night with another couple. We shared the garlic naan and chicken tikka for apps, and they were both great. Our entrees came out super fast. We all liked our meals. I got the Chicken curry and it was so good. I have tried the other 2 good Indian restaurants in the area, Cross Culture and IndeBlue, and I would say Clay Oven has the best food.

Indian food fans, we had the pleasure of eating at Clay Oven Palace in Collingswood. Great reviews on Yelp were right. As big fans of Coriander, I Must say that Clay Oven is best in South Jersey. My wife and I had lamb dishes which were outstanding. The ambiance of the restaurant is comfortable and laid back, nothing fancy. The woman running the place ( assuming she is the owner) was delightful . The waitstaff was also very friendly and accommodating.

Reviewers were spot on about the service; everyone was very nice and very accommodating! I sooo wanted to agree about the food, but can't. Our meal was certainly good, but it wasn't the amazing deliciousness others described. Prefer the flavors of another local restaurant.

I am not a big spice person. I wasn't sure I would find Indian food palatable, but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Clay Oven. I was lucky to have a waitress who shares the same hesitancy for spices that I have, and she guided me as to what would be the best choices for someone like me, and she was 100% correct. I enjoyed my meal, the portion was awesome, and the quiet, cozy environment was perfect.

First time at the Clay Oven. the staff and owner were very friendly and attentive. The food can be ordered at various levels of heat so you don't end up with too fiery if you're not into that. The portions were large so take-home is a must. The lamb I had was very tender. We finished with just their Chai Tea, which was fragrant and flavorful. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

This place really makes delicious food. No matter what we have ordered here it has been great. The spices and flavors along with high quality meat make coming here a pleasure. They manage to make a mixed appetizer with some fried items that do not get soggy or taste like oil. The samosas are done very nicely with an excellent ratio of potato to breading. I enjoy spicy chicekn dishes here and my favorite is the Tikka Masala. They nail it every time. My boyfriend loves the lamb. This time he got the lam vindaloo and said it was delicious as always. The naan is a must have- probably worth ordering two. They are careful to make sure the spice level is to your liking and your water glass is always full. The owner and servers clearly value their customers and provide service that can't be beat from the moment you walk in until you leave satisfied and already planning your next visit back. Can't wait until I'm back here!

My husband and I went in for the first time a few months ago and had an amazingly delicious dinner with the most incredible service. The owner, a very nice woman, waited on us and was very flexible with our crazy dietary restrictions. They accommodated us with ease.
THEN, we went back this week for another wonderful dinner, and the owner recognized us and was again very sweet! The waiter, a young man, was super friendly and accommodating as well, and the food.....!!!!!!!!!! OMG THE FOOODDDD!!!! WAS SO FRICKEN DELICIOUS!!! Yum. We got the lamb vindaloo, the shrimp coconut curry dish, the lamb biryani, and a few other delightful dishes. Everything was spectacular.

Chose Valentine's night to be the first visit at this restaurant located only a few blocks from our house. We've been wanting to give it a try after hearing good reviews and were not disappointed! Service was quick and friendly and the food was excellent. Would certainly not hesitate to go back as often as we can!
