We had a wonderful evening! Spectacular Setting, food and service! Live music was a wonderful surprise.
Nestled in the woods we were able to watch the birds and squirrels as we ate our dinner.
Valet parking made it very simple.
We will definitely return!
We had dinner- great service! (Kelly) - the atmosphere is lovely-live quiet music while dining was very nice. The lobster bisque was the BEST!! Not kidding this bisque was flavorful and just about the best you'll ever have! We had the prime rib and the haddock- both meals were very good- rolls were delicious and even the butter had some type of herb in it-very nice and different. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place- look no further for a lovely evening--prices were moderate.
We were there on Easter, so it was very busy. Such a pleasant place to dine that we did not mind the noise. The lobster bisque was excellent, service was very professional and they worked as a team so an attendant was always available to any needs. We truly enjoyed the tasty food and lovely surroundings.
Thank-you for making our Easter very special! Everything was amazing!
Family Easter Dinner
Clay Hill Farm sits in a peaceful country spot. The food is good (basic kind of menu), the dining room is comfortable. We have been a few times, and it seems to attract a senior clientele. It kind of feels like your in the dining room of a country club.
Always a wonderful time here... from weddings to holiday dinners to quiet romantic evenings.
Love everything about this establishment ! The music, the food , the service - I always feel special here
Always an enjoyable evening at Clay Hill Farm. Food never disappoints!
Beautiful setting. Clean and wonderful ambiance. High quality service and food.
Glad we were able to find another good restaurant in the Ogunquit area. We were celebrating a special birthday and the setting was perfect. The great entertainment was an added bonus. We will make this a part of our routine.
My Wife and I have been returning to Clay Hill Farm for twenty years, and it has never failed to delight. It is the perfect place for relaxed dining and quiet conversation. The present staff are wonderful.
Everything the restaurant could control was fabulous. We had a very loud speaking guest seated next to us. She spoke very loudly about medical issues and it was distracting. Once they left we finished a delightful meal.
The only positive part of our experience was the food. The most negative part of the experience was our waitress. I think her name was Lauren. We felt totally ignored after we told her we wanted a few minutes to enjoy our drinks. I can’t count how many times she attended to other tables near us without giving us a glance. The worst was when she spoke with a couple at another table for at least a half hour, no exaggeration. Thank goodness for Ali (sp?) who finally took care of our needs. She was very sweet and I only left a tip because I knew it was shared among the servers. The cost of our dinner for two was more than $180.
Food was great. Service and atmosphere were outstanding.
Absolutely a wonderful place to enjoy fine dinning.
Romantic, We sat near the fireplace. The pianist was excellent. The food was very good.
After proposing to my wife of 31 years marriage...32 year ago at Clay Hill, we finally made a return trip back. Why did we wait so long to return? The atmosphere is just as we remembered...quiet, cozy, romantic, and just plain warm & relaxing. The food was incredible as was the service and ambiance. It was just a wonderful time to re-kindle where it all began. From now on, this will be an annual event around our anniversary where we can sit, relax, talk, and enjoy a wonderful meal. Thanks Clay Hill Farm! Keep up the great work and we will see you next February!

The "special occassion" was for Valentines Day and we could not be more pleased with our choice. The ambiance, service and food quality and second to none. Can not wait to go back!
Once again, we have enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Clay Hill. The food and wine were wonderful and the staff engaging and attentive.
A very nice place great food, service. Quiet so you can talk but still here the piano playing in the back ground.
Wow, great way to impress a first date or any occasion. Food is fantastic and the waitress outstanding and good sport with jokes keeping it fun. This was probably only my third time there and it's always memorable. Thanks and looking forward to the next time.
Truly enjoyed a wonderful evening meal! Would have liked to have had our anniversary acknowledged as It was stated in our reservation.
Intimate fireside dinner with soft live piano playing in the background from the lounge. A wonderful start to a great weekend with my bride of 48 years. Terrific cocktails and steamed muscles started our experience. We had seafood stuffed haddock and prime rib. Both exceeded expectations. This has been our special place for over 15 years. Thanks for another wonderful evening!
We went out with 3 other couples and had a great meal. Most started with the lobster bisque and it was delicious! Many got the the haddock or the seafood stuffed haddock. Most were very pleased with their meals.
Our dinner at Clay Hill Farm was outstanding. We felt pampered from the moment we arrived until we left-- valet parking, gracious wait staff, quiet piano player and beautiful decor. My husband and I split a ceasar salad, then he had beef shank and I had duck. Both meals provided leftovers. The beef shank was delicious. My duck was fine except for the sweet potato hash which was cubes of mixed root vegetables, partially cooked and not seasoned. All in all, however, we had a wonderful evening and look forward to returning.
Absolutely fabulous! The vibe is warm and inviting. Additionally, the service and food were outstanding. I love that all the servers wait on you all together....Seems like they all work well together too! Will be sure to return....Well done!!
Beautiful Choice for New Year's Eve. The food was above average. Mussel appetizer was excellent! We were seated in front of the roaring fireplace, definitely the best seat in the house! The wait staff were wonderful, attentive and helpful. The bartender was the best! The only negative I would mention was the hostess. She seemed inexperienced and a bit flustered. Overall a wonderful and special night!
We had a most wonderful time❤️Our waitstaff was marvelous, fun, funny, professional and very attentive!!! We also met a group of wonderful people that have been celebrating New Year’s Eve at Clay Hill Farm for many years and we hope to come back next year to join them with celebrating New Year’s Eve 2018!!!
Cannot express strongly enough about the whole evening! It was perfect! Even at the very end of the night when my niece asked for a menu to put in her scrapbook, one was found and given to her with a smile❣️Thank you for our memories, and helping us start 2018 out on the right foot.
Was very disappointed. This was our 18th wedding anniversary. We requested the room with the fireplace, where we have come for the last few years, and we were NOT seated in that room, and were not recognized as celebrating our anniversary. We will go somewhere else next year.
Stayed at the Cliff House for 2 nights. First night we ate in and second day we went to Clay Hill. The farm was the far better dining experience, and certainly a better value. Great night out.
We dined at Clay Hill Farm for Christmas Eve. The decor was festive and appropriate for the season and the live piano music added a lovely touch. All of the staff was friendly and in the holiday spirit. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The only down side was the backup for valet parking and no opportunity to self park.
Great Christmas Eve meal, great food ambiance and service
Highly recommended
The occasion was Dinner and Entertainment celebrating Christmas. The venue, Clay Hill Farm Restsurant serving up a five star menu including Apple Cider Carmelized Salmon with Brussels Sprouts and Roasted Potatoes and Lemon Crusted Broiled Haddock over Sautéed Spinach and Risotto - the choices at our table - absolutely to die for! The one man show “A Christmas Carol” lyrics and music by Nancy Day and starring Kirk Simpson local seasoned actor and quintessential storyteller captivated and engaged the audience. Kirk brought the audience back in time and into the story - a delightful journey.
For an enchanting evening comprised of haut- cuisine, personalized service, relaxed ambiance and Broadway quality entertainment, Clay Hill Farm in Cape Neddick is “the” place to be!
My husband and I went for our anniversary and it was a lovely experience. The food was fantastic, and the staff very friendly and accommodating. It was the perfect way to spend our anniversary evening. The live music was beautiful. All in all a wonderful evening thanks to CHF.
Disappointing entrees and indifferent service. Chairs on casters were too low and uncomfortable. Decor is dated though the setting in the woods is magical. The only vegetarian entree was barely edible. One of the beef entrees was quite overcooked. We won't be back.
We love going to Clay Hill Farm whenever we are in the Ogunquit area - a beautiful spot, excellent food and service. Was decorated beautifully for Christmas.
We had a delightful time at Clay Hill Farm, celebrating our anniversary. We dined early, so there was very little crowd, and thus little noise. We had a great table by a window, attentive but not intrusive service and the food was excellent. We will be back.
Good food, great atmosphere friendly staff. Live music on Sunday night which was great bonus. Tucked away from hustle of Route 1. Very welcoming place
We were visiting the local area for the weekend and made reservations at the Clay Hill Farm for dinner. It was also our 13th wedding anniversary.
We arrived and were seated promptly. The dining room looked very cozy - but the way the tables and seats were arranged was very awkward. All of the patrons were seated to be looking out the large windows - into the pitch black night. I guess in the summer months the view would be better.
The food was OK - nothing outstanding. From the time we were seated until we received the check only 45 minutes had gone by. I have had lunch at McDonalds that lasted longer.
