I enjoyed my dinner at Claudia's primarily because of the ambiance. The food was great and very filling. Everything is well-flavored and comes in large portions.
The flavor of the Cesar Salads was almost none, and I got to add tons of salt to the ribeye to get some flavor on it Very expensive and disappointed by the food
Claudia’s Steakhouse was absolutely amazing! The ambiance is spectacular. The music was wonderful. The food was scrumptious. The service was excellent! It was a pleasure to celebrate my friends Friday night. They were very pleased!
The food was amazing and the decor is lovely but 3 things detracted: 1) it is quite pricey; 2) the noise level and 3) the wait staff and the maitre d'. Our server seemed disinterested and for desert brought us dirty plates! The maitre d' was not assertive at all and had to check with the manager before re-seating us (we asked to be reseated) although the dining area was pretty much empty. We asked to be re-seated because we were a large group but then at the larger table we could not even hear ourselves. We opted to go back to the smaller table because we did not want to be shouting at each other all night.
Best drunken ribe eye in the world, great sea tower in the world
Perfect 10! Excellent ambiance, service and food.
This is my second time at Claudia Steakhouse. The first time was with my girlfriends for my Bridal Shower. I had such a great time I had to bring my now husband for his Birthday and he was blown away. He thought it was super fancy.
I had an amazing time celebrating my engagement with my fiancé. Great customer service, great food and environment. Our server was amazing and kind.
I got sick from eating sea bass
Day after the 4th dinner...plantain chips to start, Porterhouse for two special included salad (got the chopped) and a side (chose Mac and cheese) my girls enjoyed. The big fish was delicious, whole red snapper fried to perfection (if you don’t mind the bones, I didn’t, they were easy to pick around), it came with a tasty rice and veggie side, I also ordered a Caesar salad, it was fresh. Carrot cake (different but good) and pineapple sorbet for dessert. Loved the decor and ambiance of the restaurant, especially for DC...will definitely be back
Drunken ribeye was extraordinary..well seasoned and cooked just right, the oysters were on point, red snapper (the big fish) was excellent and presented beautifully. The squash zucchini and mashed potatoes were decent for sides.Assorted flavor sorbet, chocolate lava cake and carrot cake (different but good) was for dessert. Will definitely be back. Club soda could be stronger!
It was our 5 year wedding anniversary. They started us off with a cup of complimentary zucchini soup that was delicious. They also ended our meal was complimentary glasses of champagne. The only down side was the host. We had a 9pm reservation and we were running late so I called at 8:40 to ask if I needed to make a new reservation. He didn’t ask for an ETA but simply said “no it’s fine. When you get here we’ll seat you”. Then I get a call at 9:15 saying “We need to know if you’re still coming”. I informed him that we were walking down the street and would be right there. Upon arrival, he attempted to seat us in a small corner seat table even though there were very few people in the dining room. I then got a call the next afternoon saying “This is Matthew (same host) from Claudia’s and we just had a missed call from this number”. I didn’t call but even if I did, I think that’s pretty rude to call someone phone back from a business. Again, Service and good were GREAT and we’d definitely go back!!
Great restaurant and service!!
The food was great! That was my first time eating there. I will definitely be back.
Any of the above...good happy hour, sat at the bar.
We very much enjoyed our experience. It was our first visit to the restaurant.
I love Claudia's! I've been there on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is always amazing, and the decor and ambiance is exquisite!
Very art deco and great looking space. Bartender -- pretty much no personality. Waiter was ok. First course apps were very good. Rib eye ordered Medium was served Mid well/well. Sent back. Second one came out about 3 minutes later -- very rare. Third time -- still undercooked. Manager did serve the 3rd steak to us and apologize. They never reheated the vegetables on the plate, never offered to take my meal back and reheat. Never told us that Thursday night was 1/2 price wine night. At the end -- they did take the steak off the bill. They could have put a bit of effort into this night and made it better. Just uninspired and tired. Too bad, very cool place. Not busy on a Friday night...................hope they can get their act together........as they do have plans to expand.
Great service, very attentive. Mashed potatoes are extremely spiced - never had that before. Great wine list and wines under $250/bottle are 1/2 price on Thursdays which is worth the trip.
Entrance is actually on K street.
The food was attractive, well plated, and delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for our evening out, beautifully designed and decorated for a feeling of privacy, while maintaining an openness.
The big fish was awesome!!! The mushroom soup was excellent!!!
I've been to Claudia's a number of times - the soups their are outstanding - they have very reasonable and tasteful specials, all of the meals I've had there have been exceptional. I'd strongly recommend them to anyone that likes good food in a relaxing and friendly place. Go enjoy!
I have dined here on several occasions and every time it has been wonderful.
Jazz band played. Sat at bar so as not to be alone.
This restaurant had a Cinco de Mayo flyer posted on Facebook. It advertised $5 margaritas and $3 beer with purchase of an appetizer. My friends and I made reservations as the "tickets available" link took you to Open Table. Our table was not ready when we arrived so we purchased drinks at the bar under the special pricing. Later we were seated at our table and enjoying our meals and wanted to get more drinks. We were told that the special was only available at the bar. That was a disappointment. If that was the case it should have been explicitly stated on the flyer. It also should not have pointed us to make table reservations on open table if we attend the "Cinco de Mayo" event.
Excellent place. Welcoming, modern but friendly Great cocktail menu, bar snacks. Then choice of tables for dinner. Food was incredible and the wine list very reasonable. There was a live jazz band which added to the atmosphere, but wasn’t too loud / overbearing. All together we had a wonderful evening here and will definitely go back.
Came with a 11 year old kid and the waiter was incredible. He included the child. Very attentive service. The food was delightful.
Great service and friendly too! Nice Quartet playing music. Good to listen and not too loud. Great decor!
Wonderful experience at Claudia's. Excellent service. Thursday is half priced wine - can't beat that! I had the sea bass and it was delicious. We had a large group so also ordered a variety of appetizers and sides and were pleased with them all. The space is absolutely beautiful - huge bar too. Will definitely go back.
A surprise indeed! This place is tucked with a block and I’ve never seen it! Sexy cool space, very flavorful food. Service was top notch. Will be back for sure!
Overrated! The only good item was the fried plantains. The Caesar salad was boring, the steak was undercooked and when sent back came back cold because the butter on top did not even melt and the Brussels sprouts were tasteless!
If you don’t want to be video taped eating your steak don’t go there, they have at least 12-15 security cameras in the place...a steak restaurant..really?’ Perhaps all the money went to the bad decor so they didn’t have any left of seasonings.
My wife and I wanted to try out a new Restaurant and it was a great experience for the both of us. The service was awesome and the food was great! 5 stars.
The food was great! I will definitely be going back again!!
Decor was very unique and posh. The food was just OK. I expected more. Our entrees came out before the side dishes were ready and when they did arrive, they were undercooked. Our waiter was pretty good but the bar messed up our cocktails several times. I don’t think we will go back.
The waiter and the food was good. The manager was rude and very unprofessional.
One of our guest ordered a crab cake but sent it back after one bite because it had onions and corn in it. He re-ordered a burger which was satisfactory. When the bill came he was charged for the returned crab cake and the burger. He asked the manager why he was not told he would be charged for the returned item. The manager stated, that is why we kept the food because "You People " always do that. Secondly we bought an outside dessert and was charged a $50.00 cake fee, when the dessert was given to the manager to refrigerate there was no mention of the cake fee. The police were called although no Laws were broken. There were 14 people in our group and we will never patronize Claudia's or any other establishment owned by Claudia's. This is a birthday club and we regularly patronize restaurants in the DMV and have never received such poor treatment by an establishment.
We enjoyed out night. Service was wonderful. Food was fantastic. Soft jazz playing in background. Romantic! Juan was so fantastic and took good care of us!!
Juan was amazing! I will be back.
Good service and excellent meal.
The restaurant has so much white, that half way into the meal, you forget where you are. The restaurant’s food is below average. Garnish is rosemary - everything and everywhere from calamari to steaks. The steaks are tiny - ribeye isn’t up to par with other steak houses. The paella, is good but overpriced. The lamb was rough and lacked jazz. The filet mignon - was good. Monday and Thurs bottles of wine are 50% off - but they didn’t honor the Monday - wasn’t even going to ask. The servers, really good people, but you can’t understand what they are saying - you can make sense - don’t waste your money or time here... dine at Capital Grill or Ruth Chris, or better yet, Charlie Palmer.
