In a casual yet elegant atmosphere, set in a recently remodelled century old historic train station, Claire's passion is great food and outstanding service. My wife and I go to Claire’s at least once a month for lunch. She ordered the fried oysters and the quiche and I had the tuna wontons and the Jack Daniel shrimp. Compliments to the Chef, our food was absolutely delicious. Particularly of note was the composition of the shrimp dish, with lump crab meat and perfectly prepared shrimp over pasta and brought together with a magnificent cream sauce. As important to us are the people at Claire’s, friendly and very professional. We always feel at home while we’re there. This place is a gem in Warrenton, VA. Be sure to make a reservation as Claire’s is usually busy (the secret has been out for a long time.

Claire’s at the Depot is one of my favorite no-fail fine dining restaurants. Fabulous on all counts. My salmon was perfect. I only wish there was a desert tasting option, how to decide, sigh. Till next time dear diners.

The fish, my friend and I ordered for lunch was burnt and the fish tasted like it. We asked for bread to go with it, due to not having any cornbread or such. We were celebrating a birthday. Her dessert was awesome. The apple cake, the 3 of us were not very impressed with. This visit was not impressive and was disappointing.

Claire’s at the Depot was an absolute delight! My husband and I went for our Anniversary. It really is a cute place with a cozy romantic atmosphere. Our server Anthony was amazing. Really THE best service we have had in a long time. He knew the food, the drinks, and was attentive, helpful, and personable. All the food was excellent. We had the cheese board, my husband had the steak special and I had the delicious risotto. I also highly recommend the chocolate cake! We will be back!

Excellent food, per usual, slower than normal service considering it was a slow evening. Non attentive server, was unaware of any dessert specials seemed annoyed that she was asked about it, but did go and find out.

We are long time diners at Clair’s and brought first time diners, who are as impressed as we have always been. The food is delicious, as are the specials. We love our experience over the many years of lunches and or dinners at Claire’s! Our waitress, Dianna was outstanding!

It was a celebration of my best friends birthday I requested the back room as the front room is very loud and tight We had a great table. Our server was amazing! We tried the wine special which my best friend loved I had the filet and she had the rockfish and we shared both Cooked to perfection and had delicious sides from in-season foods They brought out a crème brûlée as a surprise and that too was so tasty

Service was considerably slower than we have encountered in nearly 30 years of dining. We were seated promptly however it was much too long before our waiter took order. After the main course food took a very long time. Overall it was slightly disappointing after many years dining there.

Claire’s was the perfect place my my dear friends and me to visit and enjoy the food, the ambience and each other. Sandra, our server, could it have been more attentive and kind. The Quiche was a true winner, as was the parmesano encrusted cod…and crème brûlée!

Food is FANTASTIC. Service was a little slow but likely due to how busy they were and perhaps they are understaffed a bit? Second time eating there and as I said the food is stellar as was the service the first time we went a few months back. Service was still solid this time but it just took a little longer to get our dinner. It is definitely on the expensive side but would definitely go back and recommend for a special occasion or maybe the occasional "lets go out and get a really nice meal"

Claire's is our "go to" for events. This time was for wife's birthday and they once again did not disappoint. Laurie, our server, makes us feel like we are the only people there despite running her tail off. She crab soup is the best this side of Charleston. Salmon was perfect as it always is - baked this time instead of cedar plank alternative, but really excellent. Pork chops were quite good - tender with nice glaze. Elegant dining based on quality but pretty laid back atmosphere. We always recommend Claire's to friends who want someplace nice to go.
