In a casual yet elegant atmosphere, set in a recently remodelled century old historic train station, Claire's passion is great food and outstanding service. Offering contemporary American cuisine - local, seasonally focused - with a Southern flaire. The renovation honors the historic character of the Warrenton Train Depot, resulting in a warm, comfortable environment for casual meetings with friends, or special occasions and intimate family meals. The warm, elegant Garden Room provides seating for intimate meals, while the Tavern Room features a more casual dining experience in luxurious surroundings. A rotating selection of craft beers is available on tap, and the wine service is regularly expanded. Outdoor dining is available in season, and private events can be hosted in one of several areas in the restaurant. Awarded "Best of Warrenton" every year since 2006.

    My husband and I went to Claire's at the Depot to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. It was our first time going, and the experience far exceeded our hopes and expectations! We had the coconut shrimp as a starter - delicious! My husband said his filet was "phenomenal- the best I've ever had"!! Every bite of our Mojito Key Lime Pie was a "WOW"! All of the staff members were professional, friendly, and very hospitable. We will be highly recommending Claire's at the Depot to our friends, family, and anyone else looking for an exceptional place to dine.

    Crab cakes with fried green tomatoes were very tasty - generous portion for lunch. I always get the coconut shrimp appetizer, too.

    The staff is top notch. From the minute you walk thru the door you are in good hands. Water glasses are always kept full. Big plus in my book. Great drinks and wine list, Food is awesome, the veal and crab cakes were great. Our go to spot for special times,

    My only negative comment is that we ordered one salad. Our waitress then asked us, "do you want me to split it among two plates?" We answered, "Sure, thank you." When our bill arrived, we were charged for two small salads. I'm not sure if that was an error or the restaurant trying to be sneaky with receiving extra money. Next time we will share the salad ourselves.

    Delicious lunch with a fun server from Long Island! We especially liked the steak frittes. Our desserts were excellent too .We have eaten here quite a few times and the food is consistently good.
