lightly fried calamari and zucchini served with arrabiata sauce & aioli
Risotto Ai Funghi
cannaroli rice, wild mushrooms, parmigiano reggiano
We had to put the bread bag in the floor, no space at the table , nobody clean the dishes when we were finished , we had lots of cups, glasses and dishes lying around us. The food is nothing to write home about!
I would not go back !
Kareem loves it
We very much enjoyed our meal. The Antipasto was delicious and had a good variety of items. It was bigger than advertised and was more than adequate for 4. We dined here "streetside" and service was attentive despite all the walking to the kitchen. Very friendly staff. Our entrees were very good. We would definitely dine here again.
Everyone enjoyed a great meal and drinks. Always the best!
We had a great meal and a fantastic server at Civico and would highly recommend this restaurant! Will enjoy returning the next time we are in San Diego
Food was fresh and tastey. Had vegan and non vegan dishes that were very superb and comforting.
Fantastic food! The outdoor seating was nice. Highly recommend.
Outdoor seating available but street is noisy. Great place for vegetarians and vegans!!
Great restaurant! The food is consistently fresh and delicious!
Amazing service. Pasta not as good as other restaurants in little Italy.
The food was excellent except the lobster ravioli could have been cooked about three minutes longer. Other than that the best Italian food in little Italy.
Vacation date night
Sat outside it was perfect service was fast and attentive
Great food. Scotty was our server and was very attentive and friendly.
Appetizers were amazing. And the restaurant finally got a liquor license. Dinners were just okay. Pasta was not cooked all the way through. Some prices were soft and others hard. And dishes were not proportionate.
Food was delicious. Service was top notch. Setting was perfect!
As an Italian restaurant in little Italy, we expected better quality. The mussel broth wasn’t as flavorful as it could be, the saltimbocca was bland, the pollo itself was good. However, there was no mention of peas as the vegetable with the dish and our party did not like peas. We ordered the broccoli side instead, which we were charged for. The pasta with beef was good but the desserts that were overpriced were also sub-par. For a $140 dinner, this is truly not worth it. There are better restaurants in the area which I would recommend instead.
We sat outside—they have great patio heaters. Wine was great—our waiter recommended it and it was actually one of the cheapest on the menu. Food was fantastic and the service was outstanding!
Loved the vegan menu, superb service. Outdoor patio was warm and inviting.
We really enjoyed ourselves!! The food was great and the wine amazing! The service was friendly and plentiful. We especially loved the Saturday night sitting on the street dining!!
Such a great ambience! Thank you Civico!!!
We had a great experience! We sat outside on the patio and our service was wonderful. We really enjoyed everything we ordered!
We always have a fantastic time at Civico! The food is always good, and the service is always just top notch.
The food was wonderful, a nearly perfect experience (with COVID in mind.)
Family celebration for adults; son's 36th birthday. Some vegan, some not. All of us are Italian. Great food that makes everyone happy.
We came here because we loved Il Dandy. I was aware it was more traditional Italian, however the expectations were still high. The food and service was okay. Didn't particularly wow me. For an Italian restaurant they overcooked the linguine and it's stuck together. That seems like a pretty fundamental issue. I hope this may just be some issues related to reopening after the Covid close down, and I look forward to seeing what they come up with next.
Food is always good. Everyone is friendly. The zucchini blossoms are so good here. A must try. All their pasta are amazing.
Exceptional Italian food - best in Little Italy for sure
The food was mediocre. Bread and pesto was amazing but the vegetarian pasta tasted like something I could’ve cooked at home. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.
Wonderful service...delicious food...it felt like we were dining at our Italian family’s home!
Thank you for an organized entrance with all the covid requirements. Food and service was outstanding as always!
New menu is much better! Tempura veggies and vegan mayo was delicious! Had a great time with our toddler. Will come back more often.
Awesome service during the Al Fresco dining 6/13. We even made the 11pm news
Chris Bernard and Debbie Wiener
The host and service staff were very attentive and friendly.
With Little Italy accommodating for Civico to extend their outside dining added to a nice ambience during the necessity of separations.
The service was friendly and very good. Their menu has some excellent choices. We enjoyed our Italian wine with the homemade focaccia bread and pesto dipping sauce..We enjoyed the appetizer small zucchini filled with ricotta cheese. We had an excellent beet salad and our pasta dishes (pasta with eggplant and the pasta with the sausage) were both excellent!
All in all it was a very nice experience and so good to get out with the public and enjoy a special meal.
Our first trip out to a restaurant since they opened again. We were nervous. But the restaurant made us feel very comfortable and was following all the rules. It was a treat.
Vegan lasagna! Vegan ravioli! Vegan calamari! Vegan tiramisu! A whole vegan menu of deliciousness. If we didn’t live in Colorado, we’d visit this San Diego wonderplace weekly.
Great time and the vegan food was delicious!!!!
The waiter was very nice and helpful. He made excellent recommendations. All the food was so delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
I specifically picked this restaurant because they offer gluten free pasta and I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely magnificent. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and large portions. I was a little disappointed that the restaurant only offers wine and beer as I am a cocktail drinker. Our server told us that they are going to serve liquor in the near future. If you have never been to Little Italy in San Diego, this is a great place to start.
Fun and vibrant restaurant. Great service and wonderful food.
