   I made reservations for 7:00. At 6:58 we walked in and were seated right away. The server was prompt to every need, food was delicious, and every other aspect was fantastic.

   Made the reservation well in advance and noted that it was for our wedding anniversary. We arrived on time and we were seated at a table next to a family with young children and by a serving area and door to an added seating area, even though there were many other empty tables. Ended up in a noisy and high traffic area. Had to send back one meal because it was too over cooked. Another meal had medallions that were too thin and over cooked as well, but did not send it back. My meal, the strip steak, was slightly over cooked but good enough to eat. The Brussels are the best we’ve ever had. The wine was great too. Ordered the chocolate volcano dessert. Weren’t warned as to how hot it was.

   Both of our meals were very good; my guest had the shrimp and scallops over pasta and I enjoyed the sirloin tips and crab meat over toast points. While there is a menu of side items, many of the entrees already identify which sides come with the dish. Our server Alex let us know that you can substitute with no charge any of the sides. However I went with the mashed potatoes and the grilled asparagus and both were cooked to perfection. Sometimes I find that girl asparagus is too limp, but not here. This was a business dinner and I appreciated that 1) we were in a corner booth and 2) that the noise was not that loud. Alex was an excellent server providing several suggestions as well. We did order dessert, the key lime pie for both of us. Their pie is frozen and so it had a different consistency than what we're used to. I believe there was some sort of raspberry drizzle over it and as the pie began to thaw that tasted really weird. I nearly scraped the rest of it off despite really liking raspberry. I think that is probably our only issue was the dessert. I have lived here for 4 years and have never seen this restaurant but I've been assured by others that it is not new. Whether that's true or whether there's new management and it's reopened I don't know. But I will be back!

   Never will eat at City Range Spartanburg ever again over priced poor service and our salad was okay the steak was burnt a 110.00 dollars latter I could have cook better steaks at home for half the cost

    Our waiter was absolutely amazing he was extremely knowledgeable in how the food was made. He was very attentive to our needs! The food was amazing. The trout was so good! The steak was so juicy with the steak sauce I’ve never had before that was a chef kiss!

    I have eaten here twice now...several years apart and it's okay at best. I was amazed at the prices on some entrees vs. others. All in all, it was acceptable but there was nothing that made me want to go back again. The service was excellent which is a good thing but it isn't enough in my book.

    City Range blends a comfortable atmosphere with delicious food and great service for a very affordable price. The wine list is varied and acceptable in quality; the menu is full of great food combinations, and service is friendly and accommodating.

    Solid wait table option with good choices at good prices. Compared well with Longhorn Steakhouse and that ilk. I thought it was more upscale but proved that it is a real good family eatery with good pricing and excellent service. Scott was superb and we would go back again if we can get him for service.

    Order the filet mignon tails smothered in gravy. The filet mignon was so chewy I couldn’t eat it.My cat couldn’t even eat it. The worst steak I have ever gotten anywhere. I don’t know what cut of beef this was. I started to say something but I was afraid someone might do something to my food. Will not be back.If you want a good steak in Spartanburg SC go to Dudley’s.This place use to be pretty good.Don’t know what happen.

    Had the roasted pork special. It was a bit dry and not much flavor. Should have had a steak. This is a steakhouse after all. One of our party had a steak he said it was well prepared and tasted great.
