Good was good, menu was small. Service was great.
Excellent! Especially during this crazy time in our world with the COVID-19. We felt very safe and our needs well met!
Only found this place about a month ago and have ate there twice. The steaks and prime rib was outstanding. For sure the next time we get to Spartanburg, we will be eating at CityRange Steakhouse & Grill. I am anxious to try other items on the menu.
I gave the food a 4 because the asparagus was not cooked right. It was to hard and did not have a good grilled flavor. When we ate here before the asparagus was perfect. The chocolate cake with raspberry sauce was dry. Putting more raspberry sauce n the cake would of been nice. Otherwise food is great. Staff very nice and accommodating. Clean with great ambiance.
Lovely restaurant and very good service. The steak and bernaise was tasty enough. The mashed potatoes don’t taste much like potatoes. My clients were happy with their meal overall but agreed something was amiss with the potatoes.
Had a wonderful meal celebrating my husband’s birthday!
The food and service was excellent. My daughter and I loved it.
Late Valentines dinner. Had to order Pinot Grigio on our own even though I made a special request for it to be available upon seating. Wife ordered ribeye and had to request steak sauce in which had only a couple teaspoons in the bottle. Was informed previously by the server that it was the only bottle in the place. When ordered desserts, wife’s cheesecake came out good but my key lime pie was still a little frozen. Other than all that things were good.
The pecan chicken tasted awful. It was a frozen patty that was prebreaded.
This restaurant is one of Spartanburgs finest places to take a perfect date in special occasions and I glad I made a reservation with Open Table because the wait was pretty long but we only had to wait about 5 mins ! The atmosphere and service is great and the food selection was pretty awesome so we will definitely be back !
Food was good and well prepared. The service could have been a little better as our waitress didn't keep an eye on our drinks very well. Many times we sat there with empty cups waiting on her to come back to the table.
Food and service was great! Wait staff was knowledgeable and professional! We will return soon!
Outstanding menu cooked perfectly with awesome service.
Wine by the glass was stale. Service was very slow.
My wife and I have enjoyed dinner twice at City Range, the first time in Greenville and the second time, the restaurant of this review, in Spartanburg. The service was fine, the ambience was comfortable, the staff very friendly, and the food was really good, though not quite as good as what we enjoyed in Greenville. Our steaks were charred a bit more than our preference, but not bad.
All in all, it was a good outing, albeit for a little pricey for us, but we intend to return.
City range should not be on Open Table. They do not acknowledge Open Table reservations because they do not have a computer or iPad to see reservations (this is second time this month). They only recognize telephone reservations. Our special request to be seated next to fireplace because we brought a new guest was not accomplished because they did not even recognize us as having a confirmed reservation. We use Open Table a lot and have never complained about a restaurant on Open Table, but this one is just not up to Open Table standards. We will not be back and we would never bring an out of town guest to this restaurant.
Staff and food are not bad, but management is not competent.
Our steak was so tough we couldn’t hardly cut it or chew it. The waitress didn’t come around for me to tell. The manager did comp our meals to try to make it right. We won’t go back.
Great Food, Great Service and Great atmosphere... Thank You CJ, Sorry to hear you are leaving.
My third time there and there was a cold draft about which several people complained. Staff was efficient but not terribly warm/friendly. Food was very good but not great. Other two occasions food was quite a bit better so maybe just an off night
Everything was great... Thanks CJ! So sorry to hear you are leaving.
We frequent this restaurant.
Good food & Great Service. Thank you CJ
Food was outstanding, I got a 9 ounce fillet cooked medium rare and it was one of the most tender cuts of meat I have ever had in my life, the bread they give you to snack on before the meal is light and fluffy on the inside and light and crispy on the outside, the only problem was the price, it was worth the meal, but I’ll save it for special occasions
Virginia was great. Our food was salty, and overcooked.
We always stop at CityRange on our way home from Florida and have noticed a decline in food quality the last 2 years. My 9 oz. filet was 3/4 of an inch thick (really?) and medium instead of med rare. It was pretty tender and flavorful but that is NOT what I expect for that cut of steak. The tomato basil soup was extremely spicy and eventually upset my stomach. My husband had the prime rib, and though a nice cut of meat, it was too done as well so chewy instead of "melt in your mouth" as expected. Our server, Tammy, was exceptional and went out of her way to help as did the chef. They offered to get me another steak (which never works because you end up eating after everyone else is finished) or totally comp my meal and that wasn't necessary either. I ate it all and enjoyed it as much as possible; I simply want to bring the decline in quality of meat and inability to cook to correct doneness to the attention of the chef so improvements can be made. I would also add that the wine selection, especially by the glass, is not as good as it used to be. Overall, it is a nice restaurant with an interesting menu and I hope it will improve in the future.
We ate dinner at City Range after the movies. It was a very nice date night. The food at City Range was delicious. we'll eat here again.
The wife and I had a dinner and a movie date night here, and it wonderful! Sat next to the fireplace on a chilly evening, great service, great food. A total 5 star evening!
Great service (Tracie)
We will be back!
Birthday excellent waiter and staff very accommodating
Excellent food and service.
Can always count on a high quality of service
A pleasant evening, with a genial waitress, Chris, made the eating memorable. She recommended dishes that were tasteful and well presented. She was helpful and we enjoyed the overall experience.
Steak was very tender (Filet). Asparagus still crisp, not overcooked. Waiter was very attentive. Our 49th anniversary.
Our server was extremely attentive and helpful. Our meals were excellent, although I would say I was disappointed in my ribeye. It was very thin, more like a strip steak, and had some tough areas. I wouldn't order it again. Otherwise we enjoyed the evening.
The server was awesome, but the food itself was meh. Spent 60 bucks and felt sick at the end of the night. Wish I would have planned out date night at another place.
Amazing food and service!
Food was not good. Salmon was requested to med. rare. It was well done and not flavor to it or salad dressing. Rest of food ordered was nothing special. Service was poor.
We were disappointed with our visit to CityRange this time. Two of our steaks were not cooked as ordered. More so, we specifically made our reservation to celebrate our Uncle's 80th birthday, and made CityRange aware of this. No mention of it was made and there was nothing done to celebrate by the waitstaff. Disappointing.
Food was amazing! Our server wasn't the best. Forgot to refill our glasses, our dessert took 30 minutes. Again, the food was excellent!
Birthday Dinner for my Wife and one of her Best friends. Great food. Great service. We love City Range and will be back again.
Great meal. Service was excellent. The only negative was my wife and I ordered the Prime Rib during Sunday brunch and our server had to come back to tell us that it wasn’t available.
