Menu and entrees good. Check your bill though - our entrees were billed for $5 more than on the menu! Server said that’s just how it was in the computer, and he did get the manager to correct our ticket.
Imagine how many people get upcharged each table by not looking! Seems like they had a price increase and didn’t bother to print new menus.
If they seat you in the back overflow room ask to be moved. You really miss out of the ambiance and experience of the place. Felt like an overflow space and we had a reservation.
We often frequent city Range for Happy Hour with friends.
Now and then we go for dinner as we like the food as well as the attentive service. My husband had the “ Blak& Blue”, and I chose the tenderloin tails. I asked for a different side dish and that was no problem. Both of us liked our food aaxeell as the service and the ambiance.
Server was very dry & unwelcoming.
Steak was too thin.
Lobster Mac was cold.
Enjoyable evening. Menu had variable choices. Miss the fish and chips that has been removed from the regular menu.
The appeteezer were tasty and left you wanting more. I was very pleased that the kids meal came out with the appetizers. Both filet's were spot on as were the Brussels sprouts. I would eat here again on very special occasions.
Dining here was a bust. The food was average but it was thrown at me when placed on the table to the point where everything had that “sloshed” look about it and the plates were messy with the plating being off putting.
The server was dreadful. She was playing the pay more attention to the larger tables and make more tips move. I get it- statistically it makes sense... I, however, am a very tipper and if she had given me just a smidge of eye contact and refilled my water glass, she would have gotten more than a standard 15% that was barely earned.
I wouldn’t recommend this place for a single diner.
Great food but portions were kind of small.
Food was great. Service was a bit too slow
Good food, great service
This was our first time at City Range. My Father-In-Law has been wanting a good Prime Rib for a while and we finally had one Sunday evening! The Bar None Prime Rib was fantastic. Your garlic mashed potatoes were good and the broccoli was cooked perfect. The bread you bring out was delicious. We had great food and awesome service!!
I have been to City Range several times and the food has consistently been excellent. I am especially fond of their crab cakes. There service is also very good. I will definitely be going back .
The food was good but entrees barely warm by the time we got to them because the service was uncoordinated. We received our appetizer and salads together even though we ordered the appetizer well before our entrees. Before we'd even finished the appetizer, the entrees arrived. With just two of us at a booth for four, the table was crowded with dishes. Probably give them another chance eventually.
The room was a little noisy even though there were not many patrons and the lighting was dim. But the food, service, and beer were excellent!
When we received the bill we noticed that the salads we ordered was more expensive than we were told. We ordered one dessert and got two and was charged for both.
We ordered appetizer and received at the time we received our salads, the adult beverage that was ordered didn’t arrive until after salads received. One guest had to send her prime rib back.
We was celebrating my birthday and didn’t want to complain at the time.
Server seemed preoccupied, drinks came out at random times, the misses got the wrong dish, prime rib was half fat. Not worth the extra money, we were expecting more based on the reviews.
The food was great...steak and seafood. Wine choice was good also. Our service by Mark was great! He was knowledgeable, warm, and courteous. He did a great job. The timing of the food was great and it made for a great evening!
Great Restaurant Week menu. Really enjoyed it. We have had a consistently nice experience every time we’ve eaten here. The open floor plan can lead to noise, as we had to listen to an infant in the booth behind us. We recognize that is not the fault of the restaurant.
Although when booked I specifically instructed this was for a birthday, no special cake was brought out to my daughter. Other than that every thing was great
Our server, Jakob, was outstanding! For our first time at City Range, he did an excellent job giving recommendations and describing the menu. It was delicious!
First time here and it was so great! Truly enjoyed date night and the service was wonderful.
My ribeye was 32.00 dollar and had so much geisele you couldnt cut it. If i had not had five very good customers and we had more important things to talk about i would have sent it back. Everything else was okay but not what have experienced in the past fifty time there. Bad cut of meat!!!
We had an early dinner (5:30) on a Friday night to celebrate a family member's birthday. Our party of five was seated at a round table (wooden chairs not as comfortable as the booths). The bacon-wrapped chicken cordon bleu appetizer was well-received. The "fall duck" entree, which was served with bang-bang brussel sprouts, was delicious. The "Black and Blue" entree, which includes crab cakes stacked on top of steak medallions and toast, was yummy! You can get two or three of each, although I found two were plenty, since the meal comes with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The server was friendly and attentive. We'll definitely go back for other special occasions. By the way, the creme brulee with raspberry sauce is divine!
We have a favorites on the menu, and they have been good to substitute vegetables between entrees. The servers are always very helpful and our drinks are often checked. Never had a slow or bad server.
Father’s Day Dinner!
Prime Rib and sides were delicious, waiter was prompt and price was reasonable !! One of our favorite places to eat :-))
I looked at the menu on line and saw something I wanted to order, but when I got to the restaurant, it wasn't on the menu. No problem. They made it for me anyway. Fresh ingredients, good service.
We were visiting the area and were looking for a good healthy meal. I had the salmon and my husband had the crab cakes, both of which were delicious. Lots of side dishes to choose from. They recommended the steaks but we chose something lighter and were both pleased with our choices. The portions were generous. The place was a little loud, it looked like a lot of people were having large get togethers. Our waitress was a little disorganized but very nice. I would definitely go back.
Our waiter smelled strong of cigarettes, to the point we dreaded him coming by - the smell lingered and spoiled our food consumption. There were no reasonable priced bottles of wine that were decent tasting. Fries came out barely warm (the waiter was quick to correct this). The bread was stale and not worth eating. Steak was over done but flavor decent. I was treated to a yummy flourless chocolate torte for my birthday.
Their lunch options were very good. The quiche and salads were delicious.
The food and service were outstanding. We will be back to this location again.
I don’t normally leave reviews unless my experience is either extraordinary or TERRIBLE. Unfortunately this review refers to the latter of the two. First off let me say that this was my son’s college graduation dinner, so I had high hopes of having a good experience. I made reservations for 9pm the day prior. When we arrived to the restaurant following the graduation we were seated immediately (the restaurant was practically empty). When the server began taking our orders we felt rushed. My mother ordered an entree that did not include a salad, but when she asked for a salad in addition to the server told her she wouldn’t need one because her meal was a “BIG bowl of pasta”. When I ordered my entree I asked for a cup of soup in addition to my meal but decided against when she informed me it would be a $2 upcharge. As she moved around to my husband he places his order, gave his requested two sides, then asked if he could have a salad in addition to. The server told him a salad didn’t come with the meal, “but never mind I’ll take care of you”. I guess my mom wasn’t as important of a customer. Most likely because the server assumed that my husband would be the one tipping. Fast forward to receiving our meals. My steak (ordered medium) was literally charred on both sides. A weight had been placed on my steak to press it down in order to cook faster. The weight obviously was left on the entire cook time. The steak was crunchy and tasted like burnt grilled meat. My husband and son ordered the same entree. When their meals came out they looked TOTALLY different. My husbands portion size was that of a kids meal. The potatoes were luke warm AT BEST and had very little to no flavor.
The manager did replace my steak and removed the meal from our ticket, which was nice and appreciated. The server brought my husband a free slice of key lime pie to make up for his entree, which was also thoughtful. BUT for the price of the food none of the above should have ever happened.
The steaks was not up to the quality that they used to be. My sister and husband both said that there meal was not good.
Service was excellent. One steak was good, another was tough and had lots of gristle. Very overpriced. Broccoli was cold and undercook ed. Trout was tasteless. Overall, very disappointing except for the waitress. No plans to return.
Best brunch in town! Amazing!!
This was our second visit to City Range. Seriously not impressed the first time and hoped that it would be better, but it was average at best. My husband and son had the prime rib. It was quite fatty and small. My pecan crusted chicken was good, but not outstanding. I think for their prices food should be better. Our waiter was awkward and the other waiter who cleared our salad plates had really awful BO. Not ok during dinner. Sorry, but other than the nice interior, this place just doesn’t offer much. Won’t be back.
My fiancé and I decided to try a different restaurant for Saturday evening so I decided to make a reservation for City Range and I was not disappointed! When we arrived we went straight to our table and was greeted by the server and and the food and service was very good and we will be going back soon
The food was not up to par in general, but especially for the price. The mashed potatoes were okay at best. A medium rare steak was ordered, and it came cooked close to well done. The server agreed it was not cooked correctly and offered to take it back, but everyone had already received their food at this point. Disappointing that a steak house could not manage to cook a steak to order. The duck was extremely chewy and hard to swallow. The pecan chicken was the only delicious item that our table got. Everything else was subpar or poorly done. Safe to say that we will not be back to dine here.
The food good but overpriced - service good.
Love this restaurant! Always try to go when I am in town!!
Excellent service and delicious food. The Sunday Brunch Buffet is amazing.
