Nice place for business lunch but skip the tuna Nicoise salad. It was not good.
Accommodated gluten allergy; very knowledgeable
Waiter was superb...provided exceptional service
Food was amazing!
No problems. Cold restaurant
A basic hotel restaurant with little appeal. Only one person there when we walked in and a very limited menu and only one server on duty. He was quick to point out that if I wanted a cocktail, he’d have to go downstairs to get it. I ordered a simple margherita pizza and they failed to even get that right. Although the crust and tomatoes were tasty, instead of basil there was some weird micro green on top. Only a few tables were occupied by the time we left. I’d suggest you eat in the bar downstairs.
All the food was too sweet-like there was extra sugar put on all food (even the raw fruit)
Good service and food. Noise level is medium when busy but still able to carry a conversation.
Good location but exactly what you would expect for a hotel restaurant. Does the trick but nothing special.
Good location (one block from Metro) for meeting friends. Menu has a small selection but all choices are excellent. Service is efficient and friendly.
Good overall. Nice full service hotel restaurant.
Valentine's Day for special dinner. After dinner, they gave us the beautiful red fat rose and Valentine"s gift. Also, they did the setup for piano by a musician guy. My date guy is happy with it. The waiter did keep us up to make sure everything is good. Wow, the waiter can handle himself with those customers, oh my goodness!
Very boring place only 3 couples in the entire restaurant will not recommend it to anyone.
Possibly I picked the wrong things to order for lunch. Crab soup was creamy but no crab. Caesar salad fresh but small and bland. Prices were high for lunch. Service was a little slow but courteous. Dining room is bright and modern but more bistro than restaurant.
Inside the Hyatt Centric, this restaurant is one of the better hotel restaurants, in my experience.
Very accommodating staff, simple menu, and fresh food.
Awesome all the way around. Pizza incredible great cocktails and beer list..
Great New Years Day brunch. Love the flat bread breakfast offering - unique, tasty and very ample portion. All my companions were equally happy with their selections.
Wanted to try something different in Rosslyn and online the restaurant looked nice. Arrived on time and when I said "I have a reservation" the hostess just laughed and looked at the mostly empty room.
Sat down and the first thing we noticed was a family with small kids we're running amok through the restaurant... Then a mom yelling at them constantly as the kids kept shouting about random stuff and running through the door to the private dining area. The staff did nothing to stop this, and the few customers that were in the restaurant were LL clearly annoyed.
Took 15 minutes to put in a drink order because for the 5 tables actually with customers there was just one server... Who admitted he was cooking the food as well. Seemed like a nice guy but he was totally stressed and trying to help everyone. The woman who seated us literally did nothing and kept disappearing, but when she was there she just checked her phone while the one waiter/cook tried furiously to take care of everyone.
The food was meh. I thought it was a higher class restaurant but make no mistake... This is a basic "low-effort" lobby hotel bar/"restaurant". Typical easy to produce foods like flatbread pizzas so they can double dip on saving costs when traffic is low with waiters who also serve as cooks.
Overall... If the weather is too horrible to go outside, give it a shot as a last resort but if you see just one waiter scrambling to serve everyone and then disappearing for awhile to go cook you better just go elsewhere.
Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. Willing to accommodate my party’s dietary restrictions in a way that I felt was above and beyond. I would highly recommend Cityhouse.
We choose it aswewerestaying at the Hyatt and did not want to deal with going out in the cold. The server was charming. Steak was overdone. Charcuterie plate was the best of what we ordered.
Had a reservation set, showed up at the place to only find there was an event going on there, although the website said open and reservation was confirmed. Disappointed overall with the lack of updated website times and such.
Good spot for business meal - consistent quality food, good salads, fairly quick meal prep, server remembers my preferences. Only down side is that it is a little pricey for what you get but that is to be expected from a hotel restaurant.
I can't review Cityhouse. I reserved through OpenTable and got confirmation, but when I arrived at the restaurant for my business luncheon, I found that the restaurant was closed for a private event! We were sent downstairs to the bar area which usually doesn't open until later, but they served a limited menu lunch.
Meal was good, and it worked out--- but I had to scramble to contact my attendees to tell them where we were meeting, and it didn't leave a good impression. Why confirm the acceptance of a reservation if the restaurant is closed that day?!
Service was very spotty and slow. We felt as if we were forgotten and was waiting for the server for 20 min. before we were tended to....
The reservation was for 11:30am. We arrived on time however there was no staff at the desk when we arrived. We waited 15 minutes and seated ourselves. Other people were arriving too and had no direction where to go for their reservations. Finally someone complained and restaurant staff suddenly appeared. The meal was good. But the arrival check in process needs work
Always my go to place for business meetings where conversation is easy and there are few distractions. Service is personal and not intrusive.
Always a good lunchtime choice in lower Rosslyn. Have never had a bad experience there. Menu is a bot limited at lunch, but you can easily find something you will enjoy. Service at lunch is very good, and it is usually not real crowded. Highly recommend!
Crab soup (very delicious)
Seafood Linguine (very good)
Chocolate peanut pie (very yummy)
PG glass of wine. Love sparking water with sliced lime.
Excellent service Mehmet and Mohammed were incredible!
Excellent salmon/avocado open-faced sandwich. Attentive servers, attractive setting. Nice place for a quiet lunch.
Outstanding food/menu and wonderful service! Hidden gem in Rosslyn.
The menu choices were excellent for lunch, and reflected creativity. Yes, soups, salads, sandwiches — but they were unique, and reflected thought and caring execution.
Was most disappointed at be rushed to the end of the lunch period.
Condiments removed,
Then napkins were whisked away. And it wasn't even 2pm.
A great choice for business conversations with comfortable space between tables and low noise level. Serving staff is attentive and non-intrusive while being both friendly and readily available.
We arrived late for our reservation time, but were greeted graciously and seated promptly in an excellent table for our business discussion. Good food and service.
Recently renovated but menu underwhelming and over priced.
Despite the fact that only two tables were occupied, we couldn't find a hostess to seat is, took about 10 minutes to get a drink order in and the food was served like warm. Despite being a high price point, the food was similar to what you would expect from an Olive Garden- pizza, salad, standard fare entrees. It was awkward to have a conversation as we could clearly hear the only other group's conversation and they could hear ours. They even came over and told so at one point. Was the only reservation I could get the day of the inauguration. Now I understand why.
Lovely tall windows overlook the busy Arlington streets near Rosslyn metro. We enjoyed a delicious dinner of steaks and salad. Also enjoyed breakfast 2 mornings. (Hot and cold buffet, and items available off the menu.) Great service!
I had the bacon and pecan waffle. The menu said it was "stuffed" but reality was that they placed bacon and pecans on the bottom of the waffle maker and poured the batter on top. The waffle was overcooked, way to crunchy, but not burnt. The coffee was not that great, kinda weak in my opinion, but I know plenty of folks don't like it strong. The buffet was decent and the atmosphere was good for both business and pleasure. We went out of convenience which is the case with most business travelers, otherwise I can't say it is a dinner, breakfast destination.
Great business lunch spot. Watch out vegetarians for tofu entree containing fish sauce.
Not sure why this gets such a high rating but our server, Lifen, couldn't have been less attentive. She brought us water a long while after we asked and never came to get an order. I finally got up and walked over to her and asked if someone was making omelets with the buffet. She said, "You're having the buffet? Do you want coffee? It comes with it." I said yes and someone else brought us coffee a few minutes later. We never saw her again until she brought the check (and there were only four tables with people eating).
Except for the omelets, which were excellent, the buffet was average, nothing special. The melon was rock-hard and the sausage bland.
Definitely not worth the $50 price tag for breakfast.
The food is terrible. The buffet food was terrible. The eggs were dry. The waffels were dry and hard. It was very expensive at 20$ per person.
