   The staff was very greeting from the Hostess saying hello to the hostess saying goodbye. Server was attentive and the food came as ordered. The jazz music added a very nice ambiance.

   We are regular customers who love the jazz groups as well as the vast number of food options on the extensive menu. Tried new offerings on Saturday night along with a dozen oysters and was very pleased with the results. Great food and service along with the jazz performers deserves 5 stars for sure!

   City Gate is one of my top favorites in Naperville. Excellent food, and staff is always so nice and welcoming. The jazz on Friday and Saturday makes for a great night.

   We’re so happy to have found CityGate! Fantastic experience. Service is truly a step above, Scott and Eric were wonderful! Their menu has great depth but is cohesive and unique for the area. We were very impressed with the freshness and thoughtful approach to each dish, simply well prepared and delicious. We’re looking forward to trying all the great options!

   We went to The City Gate Grille to celebrate a birthday. I had some requests to help those gathering have an enjoyable lunch. Requests were very kindly and thoroughly met. Natalie at the front desk and Kamalia (I apologize if I don’t have her name exactly correct) our wait staff and a gentleman whose name I didn’t get were so attentive and pleasant from the moment we arrived. They even turned the music down in our area to help with the dining conversation. The food was delicious and the wine was a nice pour. This establishment has a cool city vibe. All in our group had a fabulous time. My first time here but it won’t be my last. Thank you City Gate Grille.

   My girlfriend and I have dined here many times. Never disappointing. It's been a while since this visit. It's still great! This restaurant is run first class. Service is always great. Live music. Great food. The manager was on the floor all evening, greeting guests, serving dishes, and clearing tables. He was doing the job. Not directing. That's a real dedication to a superb dining experience for the guest! A true hidden gem just across I-88 and 15 extra minutes from downtown Naperville and all the crowds and construction and headaches to park. Ohh... The Hotel Arista is next door and they have the best spa in the area. Date night weekend! #thatsdone

   Food is always good, but service at the bar top is always so slow. The bartender disappears to the service bar and it can be 5-10 minutes in between visits. Simply make all the drinks for the restaurant and the bar top in the bar. Better,quicker service at the bar top would attract more people. No one sits at the bar because of the slow service; lost opportunity as some people like myself love eating at bar tops and getting to know bartenders.

    The hospitality was amazing and really made us feel special on our birthday dinner celebration! Our server Mahiya was very friendly and suggested great items! Steak tasted great and cooked perfectly. Only complaint would be the mac and cheese was average at best. Otherwise, this is an amazing choice for special events and I plan on frequenting again.
