Complimented by our American regional cuisine and gourmet brick oven pizza menu; City Tap House offers guests a rustic, comfortable dining and bar setting adjacent to our spacious open kitchen.

Currently open for lunch and nightly dinner service as well as for weekend brunch, City Tap House looks forward to having you join us for any occasion! Enjoy happy hour in our bar area Monday - Friday from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. Seasonal patio dining available.

Positives: the food was reasonably tasty, and the beer selection is still terrific. And my lager was served at a great temperature. Negatives: Food and drink portions are small and the prices are large. When it's crowded (as it was on our visit), it's impossible to have a normal conversation at a 4-top even far away from the bar. Why I won't be back: There are no servers. You order via a Covid QR code/web site but the web site doesn't match the menu. Food and drink delivery was via food runners. AND WHEN YOU GO TO CLOSE YOUR TAB THE SITE PROMPTS FOR A TIP, AND THE DEFAULT IS 20%! YGTBFKM! I tip for service, and I'm usually a very generous (25-30%) tipper. But I don't tip 20% for no service. I tipped $10 on a $70 tab in hopes that it goes to the bussers and runners.

It was packed before a Caps game but our waitress was great. She was on top of it. All the staff seemed to work in tandem to keep things moving along quickly. The food was really good. Much better than you would expect for a bar type restaurant.

Ate outside - the area was lovely. You don’t actually order from a server - Everything is done through your phone and no one comes to check in on your table following the drinks and food delivery - had to go inside to the bar with an issue bc no one came to the table after delivering items.

Friendly staff but the toasttab ordering method is always a bit wierd in my opinion. If it was a counter serve place, that would be more logical for the app-only ordering. Food was very good though. Probably best for light lunches and happy hours, like we did. Interior is really fun and lots of windows.

Used to love this place but they have gone to a QR code ordering system which has resulted in little to no table service. Food was overpriced for the quality which was mediocre. Will not be returning. Unfortunate.

Great food close to Capital One arena. We had a party of four and we were seated immediately. Service was done on an app. Ordering process was smooth. Food came quickly. It was delicious. From chicken sandwich, fish and chips, pizza all were great and fresh.
