OpenTable Diner (New York Area)

I came here on Christmas Eve with family after a broadway show at Radio City Music Hall. We got here an hour early but they were able to sit us right away. The Pre-fix meal was a steal and the food was just enough to leave me feeling satisfied. I was worried I wouldn't enjoy and feel satisfied with their portions but this was not the case. I liked the ambiance and the fact I was still able to enjoy the football game as while we waited for our dinner. I would definitely come back here again.

Great food! My husband and I were getting tired of the same types of foods such has steak and seafood all around the city... But this was different. Plenty of room... Right in times square area... Staff was excellent. You gotta order their sangrias because they do a little presentation and mix it in front of you

Would definitely go back there!

Typical, tourist trap in mid-town. Ate here because family went to see the tree at Rock Center and needed a place to meet another member of our party. Was greeted by the male manager and female hostess; told them both my name and that I had a reservation which, it turns out, they did NOT check off and got me in trouble with Open Table! Service was friendly, but as soon as it got busy, our waiter disappeared. We did not get the wine we ordered with our entrees until we were almost finished and the food was barely average. No thanks.

Service, or lack thereof was the main problem. Had reservations, several tables open but still took 15 minutes to seat us - then 10 minutes to be met by the waiter. He said sorry for the wait no less than 7 times. At some point, just fix the problem. The main frustration was he told us our orders were being plated - the it took another 20 minutes for it to come out. He was either lying or our food sat in the kitchen for 20 minutes. I hope for the prior, although the plates were very hot. Maybe just a bad night, but with all the great restaurants in NYC, we would not return.

Had a wonderful time at the bar before our reservations and at dinner. We were seated a few minutes before our reservation time. Our server was super nice and extremely helpful, without being annoying. The food was wonderful, I only wish the bread was warmer. Overall, great experience!

Both my wife and I ordered lobster, which came out very quickly but both not very hot (luke warm/cold), so I'm guessing that they both were cooked in advance. They were both "market priced", so I asked how much my "pan roasted with brandy" lobster was, which was very good, just not very hot. I was billed $21 over the $44 quoted price. When we asked about dessert, our waiter told of of the 3 things they offered. We requested a dessert menu and I chose the creme brulee (which was not one of the choices our waiter mentioned), which was excellent. Great location, great decor, but probably wouldn't return.

Right after we got engaged we had dinner at City Steak Lobster. After letting them know we were engaged, they made us feel like royalty. Right next to the Rockefeller tree, the location is ideal.

Food was good, although the portions were small for the price. Getting our order taken took forever, including bringing the original drinks. After that service was fine. It was our anniversary and they gave us a drink on the house, as well as a slice of cake, which was thoughtful :-).

I went for lunch with my daughter and 5 year old grandson. We had a wonderful time and the service was terrific. The waiter was very attentive to Little Stephen and it really made his day, in the city, special.

We made a reservation for lunch prior to seeing the Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall. It is a good thing that we did because the place filled up quickly. City Lobster and Steak House had a nice menu with a good variety of selections that would satisfy most folks. We had an enjoyable meal and then walked across the street to the show. The Key Lime Pie was a nice finish to our meal.

Went before a Broadway show. Fixed price menu was perfect with sufficient choices, reasonable size portions and very good food. At $39 per person in the theater area, it was a great bargain. The fixed price menu was listed as holiday so might not be available all year.

was our first time at city lobster, we had seen the christmas show and it was a birthday gift for my husband. He was thrilled with the place. See i like seafood and he is a steak eater,He both enjoyed sharing,so we made it a surf anfd turf night.Only thing i could say is they dont serve lobster tails. so if you love to pick like me you can get 2lbs and up whole lobsters.Location was great a short skip and a hop from radio city music hall.We will be back, you can bet on that

I was pleasantly surprised by this mid-town restaurant. The menu had a great range of food (for both seafood lovers and land lovers). The holiday lunch special had many of the best items on the menu offered as part of the deal. Often in this area near Rock Center, places are overpriced and underwhelming. This provided a great place for a lunch with work friends for the holidays.

My wife and I dined at City Lobster prior to going to the Rockettes' Christmas Show. The food and service were both great. We had an enjoyably paced dinner and were out in plenty of time to see the show. We felt like the service staff paid plenty of attention to our wants.

I met a colleague for lunch. There was adequate separation of tables that we could talk quietly. We both had salads we'd seen on the menu website and they were as-advertised and very good. We were not rushed at all and overall had a very pleasant experience.

Each year I take the family to NYC to kickoff the holidays. We were VERY pleased with all aspects of our lunch at City Lobster. From the specials of the day, the quality of the food and the service, it was a great experience! We will definitely keep it on our list for future visits.
