Great as always
Had the pre fix dinner. Superb. Romantic if seated in the back.
Everything was great, the ladies at the front desk was real nice. A great start to my dining experience. I love the food especially the Crab cakes. Our server was nice but had a bit of a snobby attitude that me and my friends notice. Overall I will go back, just would like another server.
The crab cakes were outstanding! Lots of crabmeat and very well presented. I am a crabcake fan and this place really impressed me! Great place!!
ALWAYS GREAT. I've reviewed this place many times. we had a great meal and enjoyed ourselves immensely. good food, good service, you can hear yourself think, all good !
Service was amazing, food was even better. If you're looking for a nice seafood date, this is the place to go. Two thumbs up!
We were in Manhattan to celebrate our 55th anniversary and this restaurant was 1 of 2 places we picked for our celebration. Everything was perfect!!!!!
Nothing to wrote home about. Food and service no better than a chain restaurant. Crab cakes were way too salty, as were the other entrees. Restaurant was pretty empty, yet service was spotty.
Bestest, flakiest, lightest, yummiest onion rings ever!!! The rest of the food was just as amazing!!
The angry lobster is the dish to try if your a lobster fan.
The food and service was amazing! Highly recommend!
The lady that greeted us upon arrival and walked us to our table was very nice and welcoming. The waiter, Dave, was a desired taste. We had to ask him his name and his overall demeanor was as if he had something better to do. The guy removing our dishes seemed more engaged. But, we still left him a tip. Overall, the meal was amazing.
By far, the best Restaurant Week pick: extensive choices make it easy for a group get-together and are real value for money.
despite my reservation made 2 weeks prior, we were seated in a booth next to the service entrance to the restaurant. Other tables for two and four were available during my lunch. Very poor customer service and care./
Went for restaurants week had great value and delicious food. Not my but first time for restaurant week. Oyster ...EXCELLENT! salmon delicious. The only thing o had to struggle getting my lobster meat out myself. Everything else was perfect!
Not much for the kids. Asked waiter if the pasta portion for children was enough for two. He said no get two. Kids could have shared one. Lost 10.00
Burger not rare as requested.
Waiter was okay nothing great
It was OK the menu changed from when the reservation was made making the initial experience not the best. Plenty food in the portions food well cooked and seasoned
The seafood was not fresh at all
This restaurant was a short walk from the Broadway show that we saw. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. We all ordered from the restaurant week menu and we were very happy with the selection. Food was very good and portion sizes were perfect. We will definitely go back.
I had dinner with my girlfriend and her son. It happened to be Restaurant Week, so there was a prix fixe menu that included some excellent choices. Food and service were exceptional.
Our third visit here; always can count on a good meal. It's convenient to theaters and great for anyone who likes seafood
The food was very good. My glass of wine was good but rather pricey. The waiter was excellent and was very attentive. My friend and I were in NYC for a play and we chose this restaurant because her son recommended it to us. We were not disappointed.
The food and service were excellent. I've had great experiences here before and this time did not disappoint!!!
We enjoyed lunch during Restaurant Week while in the city to see a show, and everything ordered was delicious. We selected items from the fixed price menu and were thrilled with the quality of the crab cake and Cobb salad entrees.
I truly enjoyed the food however the service was not good at all.
It was good restaurant week menu but was too hot in restaurant .. Service was ok .. Not a special ..
Not the best place in town... Has a 90s vibe to it, and not in a good way. Food was fine, but not super delicious as one would hope.
Very disappointed. Fish was sent back it was to old to serve and was dried out. Only 2 tables there and they sat us on top of each other. I would never go there again. Old dated and we should have known better because ther were very few patrons. Giving it 1star is a gift.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – very beautiful. I definitely would return next time in New York City!. The steaks were delicious . The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were extremely too large. That was the only flaw with our meal. Certainly would recommend to anyone wanting fine dining."
I attended a show this past Saturday night and had 5pm reservations. To make a long story short, it was almost 100 degrees outside and the air conditioning wasn't on. To spend $200 dollars for dinner, which was very good, just doesn't seem just. If the AC isn't working property then there should be signage indicating as much and anyone with a reservation should be advised before arriving (I was called at about 3pm by the restaurant to confirm that I was coming.
A wonderful dining experience, as always, I dine here anytime I'm in town, live in Philly, for the theater!
having eaten here several times - I'm never disappointed
Met my son for dinner before theater. We didn't have much time and the waiter was very accommodating. My son had the oyster sampler which was delicious. His salmon was very tasty too. I had the grilled lobster salad, which was pretty good . . . the lobster was a little tough . . . but the salad was still very enjoyable. We will definitely dine here again!
We had an excellent waiter(Dave) ;there when we needed him and absent when we didn't.
Our oysters and sole were delicious and the key lime pie was tart and perfect.
The $30 3 course lunch special was a bargain considering an entrée alone is nearly the same amount of money; for that you get an appetizer, entrée, dessert. Of course, beverages are extra. I had the calamari - very good, not oily; the lobster roll - lots of lobster and extremely minimal binding as it should be, but the roll was an ordinary hot dog bun when it should have been a buttered side-crust-less grilled bun ; chocolate bourbon pecan pie which was excellent but over-the-top sweet. A very nice and well run place that should please all seafood lovers. Yes, there is land-lubber food as well.
great service, tasty food, good value for the money, great location// loved the seafood, waitress made sure we were out in time to see our broadway show
Great food good company and a drink is all you need. The place speaks for itself
We found it hard to believe that City LOBSTER did not offer lobster tails on the menu
Fresh oysters were good but pricey. Clam chowder was horrid. Too salty and stale bacons. Tasted as if was warmed over, several days old. Service slow and inefficient. Sad to say, this place has really gone downhill.
The service was very courteous and attentive.
