What is American food? We believe it has become a blend of traditional American dishes and those from around the world. Today, cities nationwide are immersed with regional and ethic foods... Our menu brings together traditional American and global cuisine with our own interpretation and personal touch.
Our decor is a reflection of American industry with iron, concrete, wood, and steal. Pops of leather, bronze and copper colors warm it up along with our modern 60" fireplace.
The March Special lamb shanks dish was phenomenal!! The meat literally fell off the bone. City Kitchen is a come as you are, watch a game, meet up with friends and enjoy fabulous food all at the same time kind of place!
Love the food. We’ve tried nearly every menu item. Specials each month are great also. Excellent service too!
Great, lively atmosphere and fantastic food. Attentive service and easy parking. Great place.
Hard time picking the best part of the experience. Everything was sublime, so I will go with the staff/service. Can't have everything else without the crew. We'll done.
Great brunch location in Alexandria with me daughter. I got the Portland avocado toast. My daughter ordered the French toast. It was really sweet, but it was really good. It should have ordered coffee.
Our second visit. Excellent food both times.
I first found out about this restaurant from one of its sister locations, TJ Stone’s in Old Town Alexandria.
This is a great place for casual dining, with a wide variety on the menu. One note, however, there isn’t much noise dampening so it can get relatively loud when busy.
City kitchen always provides tasty food at a good price. We were locals who went there every other week, now that we moved further away we still make an effort to come here
Annoying people at bar very, very loud. Wanted to tell them to BE QUIET!! Could not have a nice conversation.
Everything else was really good!
I love this place. Great for getting together with friends for good food and lively conversation
Four of us had a "Restaurant Week" dinner that included shared appetizers, entrees (salmon, pork and
chicken dishes) and shared desserts. The food was very good and so was the wine and drinks list. Our
waiter was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and overall hospitality of
City Kitchen. We will certainly return!
The food was excellent. The server was extremely friendly and informative.
I was pleased to visit City Kitchen during Alexandria restaurant week, and I very much enjoyed the experience. I was very happy with my salmon dinner, and I thought it had been prepared perfectly. The wait staff was very nice, and attentive, and I will gladly return to City Kitchen for another wonderful meal.
Nice place and good service. Came for Restaurant Week. The food was ok and fairly priced. We might check it out again.
Went there for restaurant week. The food was underwhelming. I would not pay regular menu price for the food received.
Restaurant Week. This place is consistently good with reasonably priced fare and good service. Has become our go to place for neighborhood dining.
This was only our second time dining here, first time for lunch. We started with the Bouison cheese dip which was incredible! I had the Chattanooga chicken sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. The sandwich was delicious, and as picky as I am about Mac and cheese, YUMMY!!! I had planned on only eating half my lunch and saving the rest, plan thwarted. It was so delectable, I ate ALL of it. My husband had the chicken fajita wrap, that too was amazing. It was lunch and a little busy, but Katie was on her game. She took great care of us! What a sweetheart! Awesome personality, great smile, and VERY efficient. I'd ask for her next visit ☺️
I love the food at this place, I have been several times. My one criticism is that sometimes the service is not as good as it could be. Nothing terrible, just not the most alert waitstaff in the world. The food is excellent, though.
Excellent dinner greet food, great service good times!
Consistently excellent food and service!
Usually very noise friendly, we were seated close to the bar full of loud football fans on wild card weekend. Next time i will pick a less active time to have dinner!
We really enjoy going to City Kitchen-
Food is excellent and well priced-
Staff very attentive...
Blueberry muffin French toast @ brunch is amazing!!
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Food is consistently very good as is the service. New Years Eve meal was excellent and weekend brunch is delicious. Try the St Paul Ham and Brie sandwich - always a winner.
The service and food was amazing! I will return.
It was lovely in every way!
Great great great
We love City Kitchen. The kids’ pizza is the best child’s meal in town. The only thing I would change is to add a few more vegetarian dishes to the regular menu.
First time visitor and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is a bit smaller than I had expected - I envisioned a space the size of Yard House. Nonetheless, the food was amazing! We had the artichokes and garlic knot appetizers and then port sandwich and sliders. All delicious!
Awesome Thanksgiving dinner. City Kitchen staff outdid itself. Turkey and all sides were great. You might not think of CK for holiday meal, but it was well done and reasonably priced. Huzzah!
Great atmosphere. Quick efficient service!
Good food for Thanksgiving, quick friendly, attentive service. Great experience.
Food is consistently delicious. Wait staff is very accommodating. Lucky to have such a nice restaurant nearby.
Excellent food and service!
Lots of choices. The food was fantastic! Definitely recommend.
Very average ,interesting menu but does not quite cluck
All entrées were great: salmon, pork chops, spare ribs and pizza. Server was very friendly. Would recommend for families or a date night.
The biscuits and gravy were served cold. It was taken care of quickly once we pointed it out to our server. Service was wonderful
Great server, food, and special was Beef Short ribs from Octoberfest menu. My husband just made a sandwich from leftovers today! Salmon perfectly cooked as requested. Plenty of attention & checking in to see how we were doing. Have now brought 4 new customers. All have really enjoyed!
We had such a great dinner at City Kitchen tonight. Courtney was our excellent server and she was fantastic. She had great recommendations and was such fun! The food was just amazing: chicken and biscuit sandwiches, crab cake sandwiches and best of all: the scallops and pork belly. Thanks to everyone, including the very kind hostess on our way out who helped us confirm our Open Table points.
