   It was a great experience! Had a great time food was good. Hangar Steak was small but delicious . The chicken was a half chicken and delicious as well! Do not miss this stop in Oxford, MS

   A very chic restaurant with relaxed elegance. Pricey with beautiful trendy clientele. Very loud. Food was top notch for our 4 diners with the exception of the rabbit which seemed to be mostly bone and very little meat. Be aware that almost all dishes are spicy. Service was excellent with the exception of server forgetting about our water refills despite prompting. However, we were then comped 2 glasses of wine which was a very nice gesture. We will definitely be returning!

   We celebrated our son’s graduation at City Grocery. Our waitress was Hailey and she was absolutely amazing. Every appetizer and entree was delicious. My family and I hope to be back soon!

   An incredible dinner all around! Our waiter was on top of everything, offering his favorites, which were spot on. The shrimp & grits dish was truly amazing, as was the soft shell crab special! Southern comfort food at its best...

   Absolutely top notch food and service. The meal was nicely placed, and we weren’t rushed at all (unlike another restaurant in the Square). Would highly recommend.

   City Grocery will always be our go to when we are looking for a great lunch place in Oxford. The food is always consistently delicious and the staff is amazing. I love to be on the Square but out of the fray, especially on a busy Saturday.

    UPDATE: Was contacted quickly by City Grocery’s GM with a heartfelt apology. Will give them another try when we have a chance and update my review. Asked for different bread for sandwich, which they couldn’t accommodate because they were busy. Okay, understandable, but also requested dressing on side but sandwich arrived with dressing on it. Also mixed up fries and chips; got fries on sandwich that was supposed to get chips and vice versa. 1 of the 4 orders didn’t arrive and had to ask for it; came about 10 minutes after the rest of food arrived. No apologies for any of the mixups. Food was good but maybe should write orders down if they’re going to get messed up and an apology goes a long way.
