City Fish Market Ratings and Reviews
Food was cold and one of our entrees was so bad we sent it back. The best the manager could do was offer a dessert. The manage was not interested in satisfying us at all. He seemed too busy with other things. It also took forever for the food to come to the table which is likely why it was cold. Not going back to this restaurant!
Had high hopes , however not impressed as expected. The place smells like fried fish , maybe consider better ventilation system. Everything I tasted lacked seasoning & was rather bland. Our waitress was very nice & the service was good. The only thing I tasted that had any flavor was the mussels appetizer. It seems like they have lots of fresh fish but do not execute on flavor.
Valentine's meal with my wife. It was one of those experiences where you simply cannot imagine ever coming back to the restaurant City Fish Market ever again.
Server was overwhelmed. He took 15 min to stop by our table. He forgot to tell us about the specials. We asked the manager to help. He also was less than professional and didn't communicate with us except one word answers. Expected a better experience especially on a special night. My wife asked about the soda in a drink. He said there was none. My wife's spike in blood sugar indicated he was wrong. Tower appetizer was good. Hong Kong scallops were undercooked and average tasting. My wifes lobster was good. After spending nearly 200 we were ready to go.
Be careful of misleading menu classifications and descriptions! Otherwise good value.
Menu is intentionally misleading between all in one dishes and ala carte items. What is included with normal order and what may be considered a "side".
Unless you are careful when ordering you run risk of having hidden side classifications and expensive salads added to your check thereby doubling you meal cost.
I had a reservation and was called to my table within minutes of arriving. Our server was attentive and very accomodating. We had a lovely meal and were treated to a “surprise” dessert at the end of our meal in celebration of our anniversary . A wonderful evening and a terrific restaurant.
I had a reservation for 8.30pm.it was after 9 and no one check on us to let us know that it was going to be a little later. I went up to inquire and was met with a very sarcastic hostess who told me it takes time to get a table ready. Later after we were seated there were 7 empty tables but no one was checking on us. The waiter was busy trying to see a house to the table next to us.in had to actually get his attention. ..downhill from there..I am a regular there but after this experience I will find myself another seafood restaurant.
We enjoyed dinner, wine, and service at City Fish. Caesar salad was good, although I forgot to request anchovies and the waiter did not ask. Hong Kong style grouper, spinach, and jasmine were excellent. Blackened flounder was good. I liked the green vegetable sides. The waiter was pleasant and professional.
We arrived late for our reservation because of heavy traffic and issues on the road. I couldn't call or change the reservation as I was driving.
When I got there the restaurant had cancelled my reservation.
We did eat and I would like the reservation reinstated so I can get my points.
although I had a confirmed reservation from Open table, they tried to tell me it was for a different night! The waiter tried to rush us through our drinks, when we had aready told him that after our drinks we woud order dinner. The place was very noisy and overrun with people all screaming for tables. Whenyou represent a restaurant, you should remind them not to over book so that the reserved tables are available when a party shos up. We live in Chicago 1/2 a yr and Boca Raton the other half. We et out every night and enjoy all the paces we go both in Boca and Palm Beach. I have never run into such disrespectful treatment in any place that we go. We were taking out a guest who drove dowen from Palm Beach. We had heard your food was good, and it was. However ,the terrible service and horrific atmosphere of everyone fighting to get the tabe they had reserved, ruined our first experience at "CITY FISH". I took the time to tell you this because your food is very delicious. It is a shame that the front people that run your restaurant don't know how to treat people in keeping with an upscale reputation. Believe me, any fast food joint could compete with the bimbos representing City Fish!!!!!!!
