Food is fresh and a large selection. I frequent the restaurant often and have always enjoyed the service, ambiance and food.
It took 3 hours to have dinner. We were not served in a timely fashion. Waited too long for each course.
Always delicious with wonderful service!
Excellent service by Juan! Had a table on the patio...perfect. We started with the half and half cocktail...2 huge shrimp and a substantial portion of crab meat. It comes in a butter lettuce cup, which is my favorite to eat too. Dinners were crab cakes and parm crusted salmon. Both excellent! The bread is so delicious I have to mention. We enjoyed a piece of key lime pie for dessert. We washed everything down with a reasonably priced Sauvignon blanc. We are big fans of this restaurant.
Normally we sit in the main room. Had the chance to eat by the window. Staff needs to deal with the flys that enter from the patio... it was a shame to witness this.
Took my first date to this restaurant. Requested 1 stem rose for the occasion. Rose was presented along with excellent menu and service. Highly recommend this restaurant as I will return again
Our experience was extremely disappointing. Aside from poor service, they ran out of clean glasses, food took an extremely long time to be served and our waiter messed up our checks.
Food was mediocre at best.
City Fish Boca well worth the drive. We live in Plantation and to us it was a great experience. We got there for happy hour, great people watching all around this huge bar area. The shrimp cocktail was over the top. Shrimps HUGE. Wines were fine and there are mixed cocktails with well spirits. Staff efficient and ultra courteous.
They accept a reservation, and will only seat a complete party. Good menu, fairly priced. Keep in mind, we are talkig about fish, not meat.
Service excellent, and extremely patient. The crowd that evening was on the older side of 70 prior to 7PM. Once 7 passed the patrons averaged in-45-55 age range.
Coffee fresh, and hot, what more can one ask? Conviently located right off the turnpike & Glades Road.
We look forward to dinning at City Fish again soon.
Really don't know why I didn't get up and leave, when they brought out the baked Oysters. But I stayed there because I had ordered Dover Sole, which is my favorite fish, only to find a place that can over cook a fish.
We ordered 2 appetizers. Baked Clams, oysters and Oysters Rockefeller
The Clams were large, but topping was undercooked. Baked oysters had a "sliver" of oyster, in the bottom of the stuffing. I even called the Waiterss to help me find the Oyster. The Rockefeller was WAY UNDERCOOKED, so much so that the spinach was cold.
Main course, WAY OVERCOOKED Dover sole. It was crunchy. The sides were amazingly tasteless..... Like some frozen veggies.
Seated not far from the bar area, all we could hear were the voices of the bar crowd, singing with the bar musician to Neil Diamond's music.
I went to their sister restaurant in Las Olas, Lobster Bar, and do not know how there 2 places could be remotely related.
Not a good experience and worse, the meal was almost $200 for 2 people.
They really did an affiliate job. It is very hard to destroy meals, like they did, but that was their only achievement.
City Fish Market is always outstanding . General manager Glen and his staff always provide a great atmosphere an wonderful food .
We had a4lb lobster the other night with spinach and fries as sides . Delicious . Simply, the BEST !
THIS IS BOTH A SPECIAL OCCASION AND EVERYDAY DINING VENUE. AS GOOD AS IT GETS. ASK FOR A WINDOW TABLE AND ENJOY THE FOOD, SERVICE AND AMBIANCE.
Good food and service. Requested a quiet table and was given one. Appreciate it
Server took the order and when food came out the lobster (that was ordered did not come out). It took over 25 minutes for the lobster to arrive. The manager took the price of the lobster off the bill but by that time the evening had a little kink in it. And supposedly, we were seated at that table because the server we were given was one of the best. The Pompano fish that the waiter raved about was just ok (a little dry for my taste).
Best fish restaurant. Great selection. Top notch service.
Waitress well knowledge of the menu and recommended the jumbo lump crab cake, which was amazing! Very friendly place.
CFM is always reliable. They let you share salads, switch side dishes, etc with no hassle. Food is always fresh and service is caring. Manager always checks to see if things are going well.
From the start our Friday night dinner was a bad experience. We had a 7:30pm reservation. We arrived 10 minutes early our friends arrived 5 minutes early. When we arrived I introduced myself to the hostess. She asked if we were all present, I said my friends would arrive any moment. She said as soon as they arrived we would be seated. Well we waited to be seated for 15 minutes after they arrived. At the table we waited for another 10 minutes or so until our waitress came to our table. She took our drink order, our dinner order a few minutes later. After bringing our drinks and then our appetizers (salad) we waited one and a quarter hours to be served our dinner, two of the 4 orders were incorrect. The side dishes of the other two orders were not as ordered. A complimentary shrimp cocktail and a piece of cake did not make up for the screw-ups. Never again!!
We visited City Fish with another couple last Friday night and left very disappointed. After sitting in the bar waiting for our reserved table we ordered a glasses of wine. We asked the waiter there about the lobster sizes this evening. He said “up to 2 lbs.”.
Seated at our dinner table the waiter, when asked the same question said that they indeed had 3 pound and up. Three of the four of us ordered the larger lobsters. While waiting, the other couple ordered an expensive bottle of wine. After about 15-20 minutes, the waiter returned only to tell us that there were no 3 pound lobsters. He offered larger ones. Feeling like we got the “bait and switch”, we asked that he check with the manager about getting us the next size up but only charge for 3 pounds. That did not happen.
To add insult to injury, after ordering our substitute entrees (without salads) they brought salads out that had been ordered, and came with, the lobsters. Initially, we refused them but, because of the long wait we accepted them. We were charged for them. The description of what does, and does not, come with sides or salads is very confusing.
When it got to an hour after we sat down without dinner being served, we called the manager over to express our displeasure. He said he would look into it and as he walked away our dinner came. Once the plates were presented he said he would “take care of (our) bar bill” which was transferred to the dinner tab.
My wife’s fish was dry and way over-cooked. The side broccoli was ice cold. The other couple’s dinners were tepid, at best. My guess is they sat under the warming lamps way too long going undelivered.
The final insult came when the bill came….with our dinner drinks on it. They did rectify it, but it was another negative experience for a very expensive evening.
We will probably go back for their happy hour which is good. We will not be dinner customers.
Go for the great food. Don't go if you want quiet. Wonderful warm bread. We ate too much before dinner. My favorite entree is almond encrusted brook trout.
Amazing food and service.
Avery noise inside but outside was perfect
Fabulous as always.
I love this place
Our visit to City Fish Market was a real treat. It was my wife's birthday and it couldn't have been better. The ambiance with a view of the lake was great, the service was amazing and the food was outstanding. Will definitely return again.
Great ambiance and service...pepper swordfish was different but excellent
Beautiful setting, great service and very good food.
Great, as usual
The Dover sole is excellent. We were seated by the water in a private room. Our server was outstanding. Wonderful.
When I had originally made the reservation I had asked for something to commemorate our friends anniversary. Upon checking in I confirmed this request which was acknowledged. However upon completion of dinner when asked if we wanted coffee no mention of dessert was offered and the bill came. I was quite disappointed that we did not have the opportunity to have a cake with a candle or any celebratory item
We ate outside for dinner in early April and it was very comfortable and relatively quiet. The service was excellent and the food was tasty, but the portions rather small for the price.
My wife ordered the seafood newburg, looking for a creamy white sauce with lump crab, scallops and shrimp. What she received was disappointing, a creamy red sauce with some type of slightly spicy or cajun seasoning. Although cooked well it is nothing like the traditional newburg. She commented the menu should definitely be updated with a more accurate description and include its a red sauce with a little cajun/creole (whatever) spice. Outside of the portion size, the only negative with the dining experience.
We'll be back because the fresh clams on the half shell and the Oysters Rockefeller were good. Not the size of Abe & Louie's Oysters but tasty nonetheless.
Food is always good.
I ordered lobster tails and when I got my plate the tail looked more like a shrimp and the presentation was very poor It only had a half of sweet potato on it and dinner was not worth $32. They offered me another tail charged me then took it off the bill We were very disappointed and probably will not return
Wanted to try this since it's part of the Buckhead restaurant group - we've eaten at Chops Lobster Bar & Grill in Boca a number of times and thought we'd give this a try. Atmosphere is not as upscale as Chops, but very pleasant and comfortable. Food was excellent - I had the crabcakes and my wife had the King Crab legs - both were right on target. Nice variety on the menu , service was attentive but not overbearing. A bit noisy, but able to carry on a conversation without having to shout. We will definitely go back.
Horrible service, will not go back😩😩😩😩
City Fish is always excellent all around. They have the best service, quality food and great prices. 5 Star Restaurant!!
All good not inexpensive but well worth it
The best recommendation that I can give is that City Fish Market is always consistent ....consistently excellent. The service is attentive and efficient and the food is great ... EVERY TIME.
Also worth mentioning is that my seating requests, through Open Table, have always been honored.
For a fish specialties restaurant, it’s unacceptable that you serve a piece of tuna that was no way to cut it even with a steak knife.
Furthermore you offer to replace it but you let french fries and vegetables in the plate
to be sure it was very cold.
We have been there many times but it will be the last one.
