Great fresh seafood. Ordered a shrimp salad for a main course and that was disappointing..a shredded iceberg lettuce topped with several medium sized shrimp.
Lobster bisque too creamy
Dining at City Fish Market is always an excellent experience. Food and service is always top notch.
We have always enjoyed the food and great service at City Fish Market, but this Saturday night the service was much slower than usual ( we do understand that the pandemic has impacted the hospitality service greatly). Our server was excellent when at our table but everything took too long. We all enjoyed our fish entrees. Another disappointment was the lighting in the outdoor patio. The fans had lights on them but where we were seated the lights on several of the fans were broken and the entire area was dark ( no lights on tables either). Fortunately, we were able to change tables after speaking to management; but they really need to repair the lights and improve the ambience of what is a very lovely outdoor patio.
We enjoyed our recent dinner at City Fish, Boca Raton. Sagi was a pleasant, attentive, & helpful waiter. We liked our bottle of Lohr Cabernet Sauvignon. Caesar salad was pretty good. City Fish's Caesar salad does not include anchovies, but if you ask for anchovies, I think the restaurant provides & charges extra. My husband's Hong Kong style halibut had good sticky rice & vegetables. His halibut itself was bland. We liked better (we taste each other's food) my broiled grouper with evoo & lemon. Grouper was flavorful, not dry. I chose as sides the mixed, boiled vegetables & sautéed spinach, both of which were plain but not over cooked. Sagi refilled water as needed & inquired to make sure that we had what we needed.
I have always enjoyed CFM. Our server AJ was excellent. Good food, dance music in the bar, diverse crowd.
Excellent as usual one of our favorite restaurant
2 of the 4 of us ordered halibut. One was dry and needed seasoning, the other was dry, both meals must have sat before being delivered to our table, they were warm at best.
My crab cake was delicious, and the steak was undercooked.
We loved the ambiance & the server, but he definitely had too many tables.
Not sure we’ll be back. Restaurant came with rave reviews, but we can’t give them. Sorry.
I had the lobster with mashed potatoes and green beans
The lobster was a bit too salty, but the presentation was excellent
Service is outstanding and a great atmosphere
Will be back!
We made reservations and got there early and found that there was a lot of empty space at the bar so we canceled the reservation and had dinner at the bar. After a few minutes one of the three bartenders came over to us and said good choice the service is much better at the bar, he couldn’t of been more wrong! He got us started and said Sarah and the other gentleman will be taking care of us. After being there quite a while it almost felt like they had to flip a coin to see who wanted to take care of us like we were a bother. Especially Sarah who brought us an appetizer didn’t look at us and didn’t say one word when she dropped it off like in joy or anything that you would normally here when you go out to dinner and spend $200! Overall great place food was good they just need to learn how to cook a steak medium and not rare and get some people in there that really focus on customer service.
Gianna our server was awesome. It was a fantastic dinning experience!
The food was delicious and well priced. The only problem was that the waitress forgot to bring the salad, but the restaurant compensated by giving us free dessert.
It was like eating a bad diner with high prices, just a total ripoff
Server Megan was great. Good quality overall very good. Skip the Keylime Pie. Crust very dry
But Fish was excellent.
The food overall was delicious! The crab cakes are always my fave. The noise level was a little loud. I had a hard time hearing my mother speaking across the table, but she has a soft voice. The only disappointment was the brownie. It was sugar overload without much to balance it besides the ice cream. My mother said the cheesecake was the better choice.
Consistently good food and friendly professional service
Great place to celebrate! Delicious food, perfect-friendly service!
Always a terrific meal with outstanding service
I was very disappointed. We were seated an hour before our meal arrived. Mine was dried having been under warming lights while my husband's was undercooked with a congealed sauce. For $60, we expected something more for his meal than that. I think this may be a staffing issue, but we will not be back.
Anthony was our server in the bar area, he was wonderful nice young man
Was staying I Boca Raton Met family and had great meal Basil potato cake my favorite
We dined outside and it was a perfect dinner!
The service was great. We had a nice table outside by the water. The hostess welcomed me with a “happy birthday” greeting. The smoked fish appetizer was delicious! We also had a shrimp pasta which was ok and a fish dish francese which was good. The vegetables seemed like they were just dipped out of a large pan of steamed vegetables, nothing special. Overall, it was a nice experience.
Long wait before seating, wait before eating , very good
It took us three hours to finish our dinner reservations for 730 that’s way too long to dine when you’re hungry. They didn’t have enough staff
Enjoyable setting, excellent waiter,
food quality varied by choice of entree. Blackened grouper was excellent. Rainbow Trout was good. Fish and chips was only fair, and broiled lobster tails were overcooked.
Overall we enjoyed the evening but food preparation was variable as noted.
It was soo enjoyable. Service food outside on water
The ambiance is wonderful, but the service and food had some disappointments. There was only one type of oysters available for their “oyster sampler”, which normally includes several types. When my main course arrived there was a hair on the edge of the plate, since it wasn’t touching anything, my spouse wiped it off and I let it go. The dish sides were nothing special-steamed and unseasoned vegetables and potatoes on two of the fish dishes we received. The “large scallops” and crab cake on the broiled seafood platter were tiny, the size of a quarter. However, the two lobster dishes were incredible-lobster frites and lobster stuffed lobster. The brownie dessert was also quite delicious. One of the main reasons I have given such a low rating is because I ordered an espresso with dessert, which the waiter forgot about and brought after we received our check. It was near closing time, so it is my assumption that the espresso machine had been cleaned/broken down, as the waiter brought me an espresso cup half filled with coffee-and played it off as espresso. It was quite insulting.
Was good, service the best. I would prefer less spiced food to give the Fresh seafood the opotunity to delight the pállate.
Great restaurant, great bar area, excellent fresh seafood
Had great dinner with friends, lump crab meat, shrimp, calamari n crab cake fritters for apps. Lobster Frit and fillet piccata all delish
Overall we had a really good dinner. Thomas our waiter worked his rear end off! The food was good and timely. My only complaint and to some it may bot matter was the wine glasses. We ordered a nice bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and had to drink it out stock thick white wine glasses. A restaurant like this should have nice big but thin rimmed Merlot/Cab glasses.
Always great, our favorite fish restaurant
One dinner (Flounder) was sent back because it didn’t taste right and the diner didn’t want to chance it. He had a salad instead.
Disappointing first visit.
I had the yellowtail Asian style. It was well prepared. Two others were happy with their sea bass Asian style and trout with pecans dishes. The sea bass was real Chilean sea bass whichis unusualthese days. The fourth person ordered fettuccine Alfredo. They thought it was a bit too salty. We shared a key lime pie, which was a good rendition of this dish.
Sorry to say but this restaurant has disappointed us time after time since they reopened after the Covid shutdown. It was one of our favorites. I’m sure that their decline has been reflected in their receipts. The kitchen staff must have changed. Their fried shrimp which had a delicious light breading, almost flash fried, has changed and is not as light or tasty. The baked sweet potato is dry, tasteless & often cold! The shrimp & scallops Alfredo is off the menu & even their bread is not as tasty as it had been. Their prices have increased although their quality has gone downhill. All of these comments apparently are reflected in the decrease in clientele we have noticed. Not sure they will be able to turn this situation around.
Three out of four meals were not right. One fish was over cooked and two dinners came out cold. My meal portion was very small, that was complemented by a huge serving of whipped potatoes to fill up the plate. The Bok Choy was about the size of a shoe lace, no veggie on the plate
