As always they never disappoint. Food and service is top notch
Food and service were excellent! Slightly crowded...
we had tune about six months ago, it was awful. I tried the salmon it was not good either. Only safe to eat lobster, shrimp or scallops as fish is not fresh!
Excellent food experience! Excellent service! A bit pricey, but worth it.
We had to wait 15 minutes but it was worth it. We had a beautiful table
Great menu and lots of fish to choose from. Delicious!
We had a 6:30 reservation and arrived on time. We had requested a booth inside. We were told it would just be one minute. Time went on and we approached the hostesses twice and I think they had just forgotten us as they were seating others. Finally they said that they were waiting for a booth by the window. I didn't see any!!! Finally they sat us outside. It was so noisy we could not hear each other. The service was slow, food cold and had to request bread--never offered. For over $100 a couple our evening was terrible!
We went to City Fish Market to celebrate our 42nd Wedding Anniversary. It was our first dinner out in over a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. A manager approached us to inform us that they didn't want to serve us an item because they felt it wasn't safe to eat. I was so impressed by their honesty and forthrightness. We had such a lovely evening. I highly recommend City Fish Market to everyone.
Nice restaurant with pretty good 3 course meal deal with quality seafood.
It was my birthday & everything we ordered was perfect...the waitress too
Thank you City Fish
Wonderful crab cakes! One of the best brownie desserts in palm Beach County! Super service too.
Server was not professional
This was tied for one other experience at City Fish. When it's good, it's fabulous. When it's bad, well its very bad.
Appetizers removed, silver ware was not replaced. We asked someone going by. She did not return. I took silver ware from another table as the food was served.
Speaking of food, the vegetables on both dinners was ice cold. When the waiter came we told him. He did not do a good job of removing the vegetables. What we assumed was the manager who came back with vegetables. AGAIN ICE COLD. I complained at this point. The manager was nasty, said he would comp dinner; I told him that was not sufficient, so he comped the food we did not eat. A tip was left for the waiter.
At this point don't think we will give them another chance. We had a similar experience before. New Year's Eve on the other hand was FABULOUS.
The main entree was very good. However, the sides were nothing to speak of. The vegetables had no flavor and the rice was dry & crispy.
Our waiter was great she provided an amazing experience and food was equally good!
I have been dining and drinking at City fish for years. In fact, I met my husband at the bar 10 years ago!!!! It was memorable to say the least, and we go back as often as possible. We were there the other night to celevbrate our Anniversary with some family memvbers. We sat outside at the beautiful water view, and service was excellent as always. The menu choices are wonderful and the food delish.
Our family enjoyed and i am sure will return quickly. What a delight to have this restaurant in my neighborhood!!!!
The glasses were dirty with lipstick prints. The overall mood of the people that worked there seemed off. Like they didn’t want to be there. They weren’t rude at all. You could tell that something had just happened with the staff and it wasn’t good. Fighting with the manager or each other. I don’t know. That’s just how it felt. So probably just a coincidence and bad timing. Food was good though. The filet was excellent and lobster bisque was great.
probably a great happy hour spot as the live music was great and bar menu seemed good. We got there later and food was just average what I ordered came with fries not chips as noted when asked I was told they were out. 7PM on a Friday night seems an odd time to be out of food .
Do not order what you like. Look at the menu and order what you never had before. it will come out great. I have had almost every fish that they display over the years.
This restaurant is magic
There were many empty tables(covid rules) and then we were seated next to a table of 8
Bread was terrible tasteless and dry.
Dinners were fine but the appetizer of 2 shrimp and a very small amount of crab. This item is seriously overpriced for the tiny amount of food.
Normally over visits to City Fish Market get all outstanding marks. Thursday was not par for course. Our server must have been stretched thin. Water was never refilled. One order, the fried seafood platter was not even complete and by the time our server came back to check on us, we were half-way through our meals. Missing coleslaw and the fries were cold and limp. Since we were celebrating some missed birthdays and our first outing with good friends in more than a year, we were willing to overlook Thursday night's flaws. Note: the Smoked Fish Dip is a must have! Delicious!
Food did not taste good, portions were small and over priced.
Hair on dinner plate.
Reservation 45 minutes late. Food was of poor quality or maybe worse. Won’t be going back. Nothing like other Buckhead restaurants.
It took us 3 hours to have our dinner. We were at our table with drinks at a reasonable time but our meal did not arrive for 2 hours. That was not acceptable as we brought friends for the first time for them. Not a good first impression.
We were on time for a 6:16 res that we had asked for an outside table. the hallway was jammed with people. They said we would be taken soon. A lie. The young hostesses asked if we wanted inside or out. I said we had requested on the patio in our resrvation. Well, that would be an hour's wait. At 6:30 by the time we even were speaking with the desk. My friend went around and found a table empty for 6 people, asked to be seated and that took another half hour even though no one was at that table. Finally we went there and then the wait for the waiter - except for drinks. We were then told that there was a 40 minute back up in the kitchen and the computers had been out. If we had known about that before, we would have left but since we were at the table, we stayed. The waiter asked for our decisions, but since one person was not as efficient as the waiter would have liked in deciding, he left us and went to another table instead of wasiting a moment. Not a happy time after waiting so long. Also, of course, with the 40 minute back-up in the kitchen, the dinner was slow, slow. We finally left at 9:30 pm, so bottom line, if you want an on-time ior close to it experience either don't go on a holiday week - even mid-week, or skip the crowd and find another fish restaurant. It wasn't that great anyway.
I'm not sure what happened this time going to City Fish, but service was not as it usually is....I went for my wife's 50th birthday and we waited 45 minutes for our meal to come out. There really was no real excuse except the waiter said that the computers were slow.
The wait time certainly put a dent on my night with my wife as we were late to her after dinner get together at the house. Usually, most places will ask for dessert complimentary of a Birthday celebration but we were not even asked. At least asking would have been nice. I hope they fix the service issues soon
Service was excellent. We were indoors and there was nice separation between tables with both tables and booths being left unoccupied.
Birthday of friend
Made reservations and wasn’t sat until almost 30 min past reservation time. Bad experience with host
Had reservations but had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Waiter good but overworked. Took way to long to get food once ordered. Food tasted pretty good overall but blackened snapper way too salty. Took forever to pay check.
Excellent service, heavenly food. We had a great experience since walking in to the restaurant. Our waiter was very experienced, knowledgeable and professional, couldn't have a better server. The food was exceptional and cooked to perfection. We will be going back soon.
Service was terrible. Our waiter when he finally came to our table he abruptly set down bread and walked away, never said hello our introduced himself until he came back later to take our drink order. He was almost smug, not friendly and very inattentive. We are not the kind of diners that want a waiter or waitress to hover but service was terrible. We asked for check and waited and waited and had to go to the front of restaurant to finally get our check.
We had oysters and that was the best part of the meal. I ordered lobster, it was just so mediocre, husband had surf n turf. Filet was suppose to be medium rare and it was medium well at best. Sides of spinach was so greasy, sweet potato was nothing special. It seemed like everything was made up ahead of time in the kitchen waiting for orders.
Terrific food paired with excellent service. Our favorite seafood place in Florida.
Fine as always
The ambiance at this restaurant is excellent. We went on a Friday night and they have live entertainment.
City Fish Market was my wife and I, favorite anniversary restaurant.. We have been dining for some years straight for our anniversary and on occasions when friend and family came to visit and wanted a great meal. It was always the first name when anyone mentioned looking for a great restaurant. Due to COVID we missed last year and it seems the restaurant has lost some of its charm. The meals and "special" drinks were ok. The Lobster Bisque is still to be ranked as one on the best in South Florida. May be next year when thing return back closer to normal, the quality will return..
Nice place overall. Very nice outdoor seating ambience. Great menu and nice fresh fish variety. Food overall was just ok. Appetizers were fair. Small portions for the price. Mussels were half empties and in a weird white milky sauce. Fried calamari very mediocre. Main courses were better. Service is Florida style—nothing proactive but fine if you ask. Need to bring some NYC attentiveness down here. Not a place I’d rush back to but happy to try again.
Classic restaurant- white tablecloths and excellent service
We have been to City Fish Market before and enjoyed the dinner. On this visit, we arrived at our reservation time and given a table for two overlooking the pond and next to an exit. The waiter was very good and provided professional service. However, the food was just okay. Nothing special. The appetizer of calamari was very good. I ordered the flounder which had little taste. My wife enjoyed the crab cake. However, the floor and surrounding window sill was littered with food. It was disgusting. In addition, the fire exit was blocked with our table. In an emergency I know that we would get out, but I’m not sure about everyone else. The value was not the best and I expected better. I don’t think we will be rushing back to City Fish Market any time soon.
Everything was wonderful! When we arrived we were immediately pleasantly greeted and our reservation was confirmed. Our waiter was Chuck, he was awesome he was from Atlanta and the restaurant in Buckhead is fabulous so that was nice we are from Georgia so it’s very interesting. He recommended the flash fried lobster it was so delicious! Her appetizers or lump crab meat and colossal shrimp huge amounts and very good. We would go out every day but of course we don’t wanna be sick of it!
