The meal was as good as always. Lobster cracked just the right way the the taste was great .
This is a very nice restaurant in a business casual sort of way. It serves fish, many types of fish. It has a selection of meat dishes, but you came here for the fish, or you're in the wrong place. I had one issue. The gumbo in the menu advertises itself as shrimp, sausage and chicken gumbo. I found fish in mine, in fact a lot of fish and very little chicken and no sausage. It tasted ok, but I specifically got it because I was having fish for dinner. It didn't taste bad, just not as good as gumbo usually does and not what I was expecting. I got the blackened salmon for dinner, which was done perfectly, and was delicious! We split the bread pudding for desert and everyone at out table thought it was great! As was the vanilla bean ice cream. If you are looking for a nice restaurant for an occasion, but don't want to wear a jacket, this is a great choice.
Great place. Still had to wait 20 min even though we had a reservation but it was Father's day.
Excellent Father's Day dinner. Beautiful view...not sure how we lucked out with the best window seat in the place, but I'm not complaining. The food was excellent, service was great, price is a bit high, but you get what you pay for.
Even though we made reservations way in advance and asked to be seated in a particular area, on two recent occasions we were seated elsewhere. This time was the worst! I was facing a rusted wall and fence. Also looking at a rat poison box.
This restaurant needs a serious facelift!
The crab cakes were outstanding the best I have had in Florida.
The food was excellent and the service by Jamie , was fantastic . He’s friendly ,pleasant knowledgeable and efficient.
We went to City Fish as a pre fathers day celebration. The fish was fresh, good quality and well prepared. Service as always was top notch.
The restaurant is fabulous . . . but a bit pricey. Food and service was fantastic.
Excellent service from Mathew and delicious food and drinks, will definately be back!
Always a wonderful experience. Never dissapointed. Still the best lobster bisque is all of South florida.
Lobster costing $64 each was ridiculous. Will never come here again for lobster. Price was not indicated on menu. Same size at other fine restaurants is no more than $45.
Our evening was wonderful with amazing food and our server was outstanding: smart, polite, efficient and accommodating.
Seriously disappointing. The oysters were small, not sufficiently chilled tasteless.
My meal of oysters & branzino last time I was there was fabulous. How can you be so inconsistent?
The food and service were outstanding. A terrific place for a relaxing dinner with friends.
Always one of the best.
We eat here often and the food is always very good. In particular, the ceviche is the best here. Service on our last visit was a little rushed, as the waiter said he wouldn't put our main dish order in right away but it came very quickly, while we were still enjoying the ceviche appetizer.
On previous occasions, we liked the food and service at City Fish, but this time, we were disappointed. My husband and I dined with another couple on a June Saturday night. The waitress was a bit hard to find when we needed water and when she forgot to include salad dressing with the chopped salad that is supposed to come with dressing. The chopped salad was extremely plain, with plenty of lettuce but a meagre amount of tomato. We had ordered gorgonzola, an extra charge, since the chopped salad did not include cheese. Our friends also found the chopped salad very plain. The husband took my husband's cheese, and we couldn't find the waitress to ask her for another serving of gorgonzola. My husband ate his salad plain. Our friends found their shrimp and oyster appetizers to be fair. They liked their trout entree. My husband's blackened halibut was too salty. I had ordered the combination seabass and salmon Hong Kong style. Two small portions of totally plain (poached?) fish fillets were in the large plate in a full pool of mainly soy sauce. I had ordered broccoli and spinach. I drained the pool of soy into an empty plate. Ginger and garlic were not apparent.
Our server Matthew was excellent! Perfect table side manners, well versed on the menu, and a delightful server! Request his section!!
Great food, good service, love this place..Great happy hour with music too. Would recommend highly.
We had a great experience as usual. The food was great and the staff were very helpful.
Excellent food and service. Our Waiter was knowledgeable and charming.
Food was below average. Small portion for the price. Definitely not worth it. Service was not up to par.
Service was wonderful and the seafood towers was
really good. Would not order the chowder or gumbo again.
City Fish is a more relaxed version of Chops in Boca and the Lobster Bar in Ft Lauderdale. The $45 3 course menu Sunday thru Thursday is amazing value. The fish is super fresh and the service is friendly and professional. Its a bit noisy but get a table near the water or in the small room and you wont mind it so much
There were 4 of us for a family dinner. I ordered the Lobster Nouberg Caserole. It was terrible. Tasted like sand.
I love their fresh seafood. I was hesitant about going recently because on our last visit, I found the service, ambiance and the restaurant in general seriously lacking. I do think it is time for ownership to refresh the carpeting and tables and chairs. The food was good but they are serving a slightly smaller portion.
We had happy hr first st 6 before our 730 reservation we ask if we could get a table in the inside room overlooking the lake. we were told they couldn’t guarantee. At 730 all such tables were filled. We asked in plenty of time for such table and more could have been done to put a table aside for a very short period of time.
With the reservation we were seated right away. The service was excellent as the waiter checked a few times to make sure everything was okay. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection
We made a reservation on OpenTable and were seated immediately. It was the birthday of one in our party of two. Our server, Brandon, was very attentive & engaging. Would definitely request him again. Food was excellent and the overall experience was very enjoyable.
Outstanding service coupled with comfortable seating and wonderful food made for an exceptional evening out.
Fantastic dining experience! Great food. Exceptional service from the time we walked through the door.
Excellent food good service.
I gambled on the fried South African lobster. The batter was more appropriate for fried chicken. It destroys the tenderness of the lobster. I should have asked for it broiled.
Enjoyed the food and service
The most consistently wonderful food
We came to city fish to celebrate my twins who are 10 years old. We love the selections available here. There truly is something for everyone. The food is always cooked to perfection. The waiter (Brandon) also made excellent wine recommendations for me. There is something to be said about a restaurant who can make everyone happy especially picky eaters like my boys. We will continue to come here and celebrate mile stone moments.... oh yea also there is an amazing happy hour available and live music. Who doesn’t love live music?!?!
Always a favorite, but my two favorite fishes - lemon sole and flounder they did not have. Was a bit disappointed about that.
We arrived for a late dinner at 9:30 and were welcomed and didn't feel rushed. Waiter was friendly and efficient, giving accurate descriptions of menu items. Food was fresh and tasty. They split our kale salad and served it in two separate bowls - much appreciated. Everything was delivered to the table timely and the entrees were hot. Great spot for a special occasion.
