City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill - Westbury Ratings and Reviews
My family waited quite awhile to be seated, the maitre D was also doing coat check. Then an older male completely ignored us and seated a caucasion couple that came after us. Once the maitre D returned and asked if she can help. I explained to her that we had a reservation and was waiting. Her response was okay and then proceeded to seat us. Food was good as well as our table service.
We have been to city cellar several times. the food is always reliably good and the ambiance is enjoyable. However, this time they were clearly having heating issues and the restaurant was downright cold and drafty. as the meal went on, we grew more and more uncomfortable and couldn't wait to finish up our mean and leave. the waitress was apologetic (and it was a very cold nite), however, there was no offer of maybe a complimentary coffee, dessert, drink or anything. it put a damper on our whole holiday meal with our friends
I went with a girlfriend for a holiday get together. It was quiet when we got there since it was a Monday night. That more crowded when we were leaving. I had this maple glaze salmon it was very good. Wine prices were a little pricey per glass. But they did have a price fixed menu option which was good. I would recommend.
This restaurant was an excellent choice for a group of friends to meet for a Christmas luncheon. The service and food were excellent. A live combo played all during lunch. Noise level is a little high - so not the place on a weekend for a romantic dinner but great bar and sleek modern furnishings!
The floor manager I believe his name was Sam, he was very rude and not professional at all. I would never return because of how he treated us. He needs to learn customer service before he takes on a job like that. Absolutely not a good choice for an employee.
Our first time dining at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We were seating right away at the time of our reservation. The server was fabulous from start to finish. We loved the look of the restaurant and the food was fabulous. We were a group of 8 and everyone loved their meals. Appetizers were great too. We all had cocktails that were delicious. We will definitely be visiting again.
We had good food, decent portions, and a very nice waiter. The place is pretty expensive for what is essentially a casual dining restaurant. Also it is incredibly noisy, and when we went the restaurant itself was not full, most of the people were at the bar. But again, the food is good, and the menu seasonal. The crab cakes are really good.
Not busy at all being that it was a Sunday, however the service was VERY slow. We wanted to take advantage of every visit from our waiter, not knowing when the next time we’d see him would be. That being said, he was very kind. The food was good, but no quality that I’ve experienced before. I would go back, but would want to see the place on a busy night. The restaurant is beautiful, so I can imagine that it could be a cool hangout spot. Would recommend to others, however stay away from Sunday nights.
Hamburger had no flavor. Cold upon arrival. That should really be a staple on the menu and it must be corrected. Caesar salad was good. Mac and cheese was good. Service was fast initially and then once the food came out (quickly) we basically needed to collect rain in order to fill our water glasses. Will not return.
The waiter put in the order incorrectly so my husband had to wait 15-20 minutes for his meal. The manager was nice enough to give us a free round of drinks but my drink was not the same as i had previously ordered. It was our friends birthday and they brought out a bowl of whipped cream with a candle! REALLY?
