Citrus Grillhouse Ratings and Reviews
The staff was very friendly and professional. They were challenged by the fact that everyone wanted to be seated outdoors but it was a full house at 12 noon. We were willing to wait an extra 10 minutes for a table looking out at the beach. A nice breeze felt like AC. Very pleasant lunch. The Ahi Ahi on a bun was a bit dry but overall everything was enjoyable and tasty. The Bailey's coffee wasn't quite hot enough but I'm sure they would have made me another cup if I asked. The ambiance far overshadowed any minor criticisms. Thanks for a fun day!
Made me wait for an 8:45 pm reservation, kind of late for us, but OK. Claimed was one of their busiest nights of the year. When we sat, there were FOUR other tables with people in the entire restaurant. Food average, and overpriced. Bar nice for afternoon/happy hour. That is all.
Excellent choice for an early dinner! 5:00-6:00pm prix fixe menu was terrific. Although if you prefer a drier wine selection, choose from the regular wine list. The staff was terrific - friendly and fast!
Get there early, even if you have a reservation, because the outdoor seating goes fast.
After waiting nearly 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, we were placed near three incredibly loud parties. Once those groups cleared out, our dining experience became significantly more pleasant. The food here is wonderful, and a table outside near the ocean a much more delightful experience.
Not too pleased that EVERYTHING is a la carte...they don't even give you bread or crackers. YOU PAY FOR EVERYTHING, and at a very high cost. Not too keen on returning anytime soon.
Even my drink wasn't cold..just room temp for a lemon drop...plus sugar running down onto my hand...just not a good experience.
What a delightful surprise. We opted for the prix fixe menu and we were treated to a lovely selection of beautifully presented plates. The food was equally impressive. three out of four of the plates were perfectly portioned. The exception were the scallops, although delicious and prepared exquisitely. Only two scallops were served, a bit on the skimpy side. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and we appreciated her sense of humor. Overall, we all enjoyed our veranda table with sounds of the surf creating a serene ambiance.
Our favorite Vero Beach restaurant, we love to go there with friends. Wish it were a bit less noisy, sometimes it's hard to hear across a round table for six. The food choices are excellent, and there are usually excellent specials. Good wine list, and great desserts. Michelle, our server, deserves a shout out. This is on our regular rotation.
I will definitely go back to Citrus Grill but our first experience wasn't great. We ordered the olives and marcona almonds as an app. The portion size could have fed ten people. We ordered snapper which was overcooked and the sauce was odd for fish - a thin gravy that seemed better suited for beef.
I love this restaurant. Other than being out f a few drinks they were out of the selections were very nice.
The service was very slow. It really wasn’t even that busy. Our waitress was great it was the kitchen.
Swordfish was really good as was the duck and the pasta dish.
The lettuce with crab appetizer was very
tiny. My daughter ordered it as her meal. Just wish they had told her it was so tiny.
The beet salad was awesome and so was the raviolo.
This experience is 2 sided. First, upon being seated for our Saturday, 8:30pm reservation, we are informed that the kitchen is out of: ALL fish entree's (salmon, snapper and a third I can't recall), also out of the filet (how is that possible?!) and the Haricots Verts side dish. It's Saturday night for goodness sake with people still coming in!
We order......the Lamb for me - perfectly cooked medium rare and the accompanying feta, mint, tomato and onion "relish" very very nice. My husband - started out with the green salad (large and very nicely dressed) and a shared order of Truffle buttered french fries - ADDICTING!!! His entree - the shrimp risotto declared delicious.
Overall a good experience, and we will be back, but Seriously.............a little better planning from the chef for in-season Saturday night dining
