Citrus Bistro is a casual dining restaurant that specializes in seafood cuisine prepared using French-Mediterranean cooking techniques. The restaurant also offers a nice selection of steak dishes for guests who prefer something land-based, as well as a sweet range of specialty desserts to complement meals. On Sundays, Citrus Bistro expands its daily menu to include a lavish early brunch. Citrus Bistro is an ideal choice for everything from a leisurely lunch to a relaxed outing with friends. The restaurant offers a special lobster menu that is likely to appeal to most crustacean fans. It is also a nice spot to pick for drinks. Happy hour specials run every day (except for Sundays). Alongside its main dining room, the restaurant boasts several private dining areas that can be used for special events. This French-Mediterranean restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day.
The food was really good as was the service. This was are second visit and was not disappointed.
Excellent food and service. Nice to enjoy a local restaurant rather than a chain. Highly recommend!
We wanted to try something new in a different area of Dallas. Boy we're we surprised at this jewel of a bistro. The food was outstanding, our waiter was very knowledgeable, the guitarist was wonderful, and we have told all our friends from Plano, Frisco and McKinney to visit this great, quaint restaurant!
One of our favorite fine dining restaurants. Also special. Service was great.
If you like seafood with a French twist, then Citrus Bistro is the place for you. Outstanding food and service. They also do a superb job with beef, lamb and fowl.
Wonderful meal, great service, and reasonable prices
Delicious food. We all enjoyed the guitar music also. Our only issue was the choppy service.
Went to Citrus Bistro on a Thirsday night. Bar area was bustling but the dining room was fairly empty. Good was fantastic. The escargot was delicious, veal was tender and flavorful, stuffed sole was delicious, and the creme brûlée and chocolate mousse were the perfect desserts. Service staff was very friendly and very engaged. Will go back
The only issue we had was I had made the reservation for a party of 6, requested a round table and they only had us scheduled for a party of 2. I'm not sure how the reservation disconnect happened.
Service was very slow and understaffed, a lot of mistakes in the order. Food was edible, steaks were overcooked, asked the staff if the food item contains dairy or cilantro, the waitstaff said no but food contained them. Most of all, this place is extremely overpriced.
We are always impressed by Citrus Bistro. This was restaurant week and the choices were all wonderful. The four of us loved every bite. So glad this lovely restaurant is right in our neighborhood.
Very enjoyable. Will plan a repeat visit. Easily recommend
I took my wife here during restaurant week to check it out. The atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. I had the teres major with brandy cream sauce and she had the beef cheeks. Both dishes were amazing. The vegetables were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I ate every last bite. The overall experience was excellent and we would definitely recommend dining here for a romantic dinner or a special occasion.
Third time to dine here. Great food and excellent attentive service. Truly is a real top notch bistro.
We had a wonderful birthday lunch here recently but enjoyed a special Sunday brunch today. Food was wonderful - especially Crab Benedict and Beef Benedict. All of our party had the 3 course special with bottomless mimosas for $25 pp - we had to take part of it home. It's nice to have a quiet, elegant restaurant so close to home.
Excellent food and service
The food was good, especially the house desert. The waiter was wonderful! The temperature in the dining area was very warm and made it hard to enjoy the meal.
Confusion on the wine selection. 52.00 verses 125.00. I was not clear I guess, but realized later they had similar names and the waitress brought the most expensive.
Great food and service. Local without the lines and traffic.
Always great food in time to setting easy to talk to your dinner mates
Great little seafood bistro in Colleyville. I haven't had a dish I didn't like yet. The sauces are delicious. The bass is my favorite so far. Bisque was delicious. Wine list is good. The bartender makes great specialty drinks. There is life music on occasion.
The staff was completely overwhelmed at lunch. Maybe they were caught off guard by the rush, but honestly it busy but not packed. Food was forgettable. It's supposed to be French bistro/seafood fare, but I've had better and cheaper at La Madeleine (and that's not a high bar).
Citrus Bistro was indeed a Gem! It was our 35th anniversary and planning on going to one of those high tier Seafood restaurants in Dallas or Fort Worth. I started checking for reservations and came across the Citrus Bistro which was closer to our home in Arlington. I read the reviews from others and they were all very positive. Well, I convinced my wife to try this place, and was so pleased that we did! Although it was a Monday night, I did not expect it to be that great (restaurants usually tone down their cuisine on Mondays and Tuesdays). The food and service were fantastic. Although our wine selection was not available, the server Abby, selected a very nice alternative in the same price range.
Since this was our first time at this restaurant, we decided to choose the special Chef's 4 course menu which was extremely well priced. We started with the Escargot and the Crawfish cake which was amazing. This was followed with a very nice house salad with a very light and flavorful dressing. My wife chose the 1 1/2 Lb. Lobster and I chose the Salmon filet. The lobster was cooked and served perfectly. The salmon was prepared very well. The side vegetables were fresh and served just right. The night followed with a Medijore Date Cake with a brown sugar topping and a Chocolate mouse parfait. The Date cake was very good. We opted not to have any coffee, although other patrons all seemed to try their coffees.
I would definitely recommend this French Seafood Restaurant to everyone, especially if you do not wish to drive thru heavy traffic to get to Dallas or Fort Worth. Cheers!
We spent our 14th wedding anniversary at Citrus Bistro. It was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we entered the restaurant all the staff were gracious, kind, and willing to make our night special. We started with two glasses of champagne along with our appetizers of Lobster Bisque, Escargot, and crab cakes. All three were amazing. In fact, if we'd not ordered one more thing this would've been amongst the greatest meals we've ever had. For our mains, my wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and I got the Scallops. Both of these dishes were delicious, fresh, and served with outstanding sauces. To round out the meal, we got the date cake and crème brulee which we loved so much the table next to us noticed and ordered it too! They have a guitar player in there playing soft melodic songs which adds to the romantic ambiance and enhances the experience. We've traveled all over the world and this was one of if not the best meal we've ever had. Highly recommend.

Very good restaurant the food and service was outstanding. This was our first visit but plan to go again soon.
This is truly a hidden gem. It is tucked in a not too visible location so I have always hoped they are seen enough from the road because it is one of the best in the area.
We found this restaurant in a strange manner...we sold an espresso machine to the owner. As he was leaving we asked what he did...he owned a restaurant in Colleyville, TX. A French restaurant he said...well that was a big strike against Citrus Bistro until he said that it was a fish restaurant. Oh. A fish restaurant owned by French people. Back to neutral. We were going out for dinner in two days so we booked a reservation and are we glad that we did! The best meal that we have had...and we have eaten at some nice places. We had the shrimp ceviche, a spinach salad, a Boston Bib salad. What a great start to the meal. Plus the butter wasn't chilled hard as brick...we had some champaign to start and a couple of very nice Chardonnays. After the meal we had a nice glass of red. Now the meal was just as amazing as the first couple of courses. I had the Sea Bass...never had bad sea bass, but this was perfectly prepared. Everything had a nice spice to it, and this had a great blackened look. My wife had scallops. I love scallops, but do not think that I have ever seen my wife order scallops...I think that description of the preparation was just too tempting for her to resist. I always eat the vegetable first...in a decent restaurant they always get that right, so I was expecting them to be tasty. They were amazing...better than I expected. Green beans, zucchini, etc...but most amazing radishes that I have had...like boiled with sugar to give them a tender soft sweet feel and taste. Now if you skip the date cake you have cheated yourself. I would not have ordered it as there were so many of my favorites on the menu...but when the waiter raves about something, and you have loved all their choices throughout the meal, you have to go with it...and boy are we glad that we did! I was depressed that there were so few guests in the restaurant as it was a Friday night...you need to discover this next time that you are in Dallas.
Lobster was best I had in years.
Creative menu with French/Mediterranean flair. The variety of seafood and other dishes would satisfy any diner. Service was excellent and the live guitarist added to the ambiance. Wine list was sufficient. Prices put this in the fine dining category but the overall quality of the experience was worth it. Definitely want to go back.
Great upper level restaurant in Colleyville. Salmon was excellent as was the date cake for dessert. Wait staff is experienced and really adds to the evening. They also had a wonderful guitarist which added alot to the ambience and enhances the overall experience .
Had been a while since eating at Citrus Bistro. I had forgotten how good the food and service is at this outstanding restaurant. They take great pride in making your dining experience a special event.
One of the best places I've been to in a long while. Definitely worth trying.
Citrus Bistro is a wonderful restaurant ... in every aspect. The ambiance, food, service ... all ... terrific. We can hardly believe our luck to live so near to such a gem! Every time we've been there for dinner (at least 5 times in the past 5 months) our experience was worth every penny ... which is why we intend to keep going back!
Citrus Bistro was a pleasant surprise! The food and service was excellent. I had a Chicken dish that was incredible...can't remember the name...could have licked my plate!! We split a spinach salad, ample portion and very tasty. My husband had the Cioppino and loved it. We also shared a cream brûlée, our favorite, and we're not disappointed.
The service was spot on and friendly. And the background music was smooth jazzy and mellow. We could converse without having to "lean in" and being a couple of a certain age, that is always much appreciated!!
Overall, we're looking forward to another visit!!
My husband and I had a date night at the Citrus Bistro. It was our first time, but it definitely won't be our last. The ambiance was fabulous with a phenomenal solo artist playing hip tunes. The food was so delicious and the service was unbeatable. Looking forward to visiting again!
The rack of lamb was delish- melted in your mouth !
Sea scallops and sea bass were fantastic- moist and fresh ! We also had salads which were a very nice size fit only $6
This is our favorite neiborhood dining spot
We dined at Citrus Bistro to celebrate my wife's birthday with another couple. We prefer to eat at restaurants other than steak houses. CB was very appealing because they featured seafood, but they also had other selections on the menu. We also were interested because of the chef's heritage and experience. My wife's family is French so the chef's heritage was most appealing.
The restaurant was simple but very nice. A musician provided music and the noise level was such that it allowed mealtime conversation. The menu offered varied selections and was not very lengthy. Restaurants that have long detailed menus just cannot be expert in their cooking as well as not having fresh inventories. The meal was terrific; two had sea bass, one had salmon, and one had veal. The entrée was served with vegetables. An additional order of haricot verte was a nice complimentary choice. The wine list offered a variety at all price levels.
Our server, a young lady "Abbey", was wonderful. She gave us a lot of time to look at the menu, gave us thorough explanations of the choices, and served the courses of the dinner in excellent manner.
We would recommend Citrus Bistro to all readers and our friends. The evening was a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday with friends.
Dined with a business associate on a Wednesday evening. The bar was busy, the dining room was almost empty. The food was delicious...I had a fish dish (red snapper) and my associate had a meat dish. Both were prepared very nicely and complimented well. Our server was helpful and the wine list is adequate, not great. I would eat there again and I would recommend to others.
