Citron Bistro Ratings and Reviews
On a recent trip to Denver, went to Citron for dinner. Made a reservation but that was not necessary since we were the only diners in the restaurant. After ordering our dinner came pretty quick but the quality and flavor was very disappointing. One other family came in during our dinner and they were the only other customers. We should have gone to another restaurant when we arrived and saw we were the only ones there. Would not recommend this restaurant.
We wanted a not-too-noisy place so we could carry on a conversation. We were in the large private room with only one other couple (that was good) One person felt it was too sterile.
The cranberry salmon was good, the shrimp pasta OK, the beef swarma too tough.
I would come back again as the menu had many other choices.
This restaurant is always good. We got right in. Service was very good. Food was excellent . I had the chicken club and my husband had chicken fried chicken. With jalapeno gravy. Delicious. Desser,t, a berry tart. A very nice experience. Definitely recommend
We've tried Thanksgiving at a restaurant before but food, service, and seating were sub par.
Citron Bistro pulled it off quite well.
The only problem we had was that Open Table somehow changed our reservation from three people to two. When I called the restaurant they suggested I made have made a keystroke error but the restaurant accommodated us.
I have two reservation confirmations both with the same reservation number. The first confirmation was for three received shortly after I made the reservation on open table. The second...received the evening before Thanksgiving was for two. The error was not made by me.
I don't know who made the change.
Wonderful buffet spread for a holiday meal. Huge selection and everything was piping hot, salads and fruit trays were fresh and beautifully presented. Would definitely consider visiting again. Prices were quite high for both adult and children. We felt it was priced too high for kids, considering they eat so little. They had a large sign display by hostess stand advertising their happy hour all week long for the holiday...yet our server did not recommend or serve us a red wine on the HH list, so we were a bit surprised to see $18 on the bill for 2 glasses. (But when we ordered we did not specify wanting a HH special, so was partly our fault as well). All in all, would highly recommend for a nice holiday meal to save yourself the cooking hassle at home!!
I went for the Thanksgiving buffet. The food was below average, the worst being the gravy that was as thin as water with little more flavor. The shrimp were mushy, and the rest of the food was barely warm and bland. Desserts were good. The staff worked very hard to give us a good experience. I appreciated that. For $37.50 per person, I expected more, and the final blow was being charged extra for coffee. I understand not including alcohol in the set price, but regular beverages should have been.
First visit. Went there for the Thanksgiving buffet. Food was very good but we were somewhat disappointed that we got seated in a small room in the back of the restaurant that had no windows, bare wood tables and chairs, one fork and one knife on the table. Thought maybe they would have made the decor look a little nicer (i.e., tablecloths) since it was Thanksgiving. The other rooms in the restaurant looked nice but that room felt like we were eating in a cafeteria.
We had reservations for Thanksgiving buffet. We were seated immediately. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We had crab legs, shrimp, turkey, lamb, roast beef, several salads, dressing, mashed potatoes, cauliflower, green beans almondine, sweet potatoes and about 10 dessert selections. Everything was great. We also are there the week before for lunch just to check it out. Their greek food was phenomenal. Need to check this place out.
We had ThanksGiving Brunch there and were very pleased. Why would I like to come back:
1. Fresh food
2. Different variety of food
3. Cranberry sauce was amazing
3. Was very impressed with desserts
Overall, we had an amazing experience with food and service. Please, take an opportunity to try this restaurant. We will definatly come back.
Celebrated my birthday here with daughter and 7-yr-old grandson. Lamb pops were tasty appetizer before chicken piccata. Portions were so generous I almost didn't have dessert, but glad we didn't pass up the chocolate souffle and the berry cobbler. Staff was attentive and we were seated in quieter part of restaurant. First time to visit here but will not be last!
Very nice place for ladies lunch! However, please seat families with babies who like to yell at the back of the restaurant. Seated next to a young couple and their baby who looked to be 10 months old we were exposed to a lot of shreeking and yelling....not good.
I have always enjoyed going to Citron. The only thing I was disappointed in is that after booking through Open Table I called the restaurant to tell them it was my guests birthday. They promised to offer her a birthday dessert.
The waiter did not even ask us if we wanted dessert, let alone offer her something for her birthday. He just gave me the check.
Other than that everything was nice and I will go back again.
Citron Bistro is a great neighborhood standby, strongest for its atmosphere and service. The brunch menu should leave you satisfied, but prices and flavors are comprable to a Village Inn, although the menu has some Greek influence to it. I'll take the Citron Bistro every time though! Lunch and dinner offerings are their strongest offerings, and you'll go home satisfied!
The only thing I would like to have seen is to have our waiter package my leftovers for me. It felt a little like Village Inn when I was boxing my own food at the table. Good wine value, really good flat-iron steak, even the next day!!
We are loving Citron Bistro and are happy to have stumbled across it not too long ago. The service is always great and the people there are so friendly. The food taste like a home cooked meal, such a nice change from all of the chain restaurants. We will definitely be back!
