Such fantastic good and service as always!!
I took my girl friend here for brunch and it was amazing. This place never seems to disappoint. The food is always fresh and so yummy and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly!
I recently order their brick oven pizza take-out on Saturday, 11/21, and it was so so good! I ordered 2 of the spicy sausage (tomato sauce, lamb sausage, ricotta, arugula). I was a brat and asked if they had pepperoni to add on one of the pizzas and the staff and chef were absolutely so sweet and accommodating. They did not have pepperoni but chef Justin instead added this fancy chorizo and it was hands down so good. My friend had also gotten a brick oven pizza from a different restaurant but he ended up eating most of my pizza instead and said it was absolutely amazing and that the chorizo was such a complement to the pizza. Thank you chef Justin, you are freaking awesome! And thank you Citrine for always coming through with the most amazing food!
Always a great experience!
The food, service attention to detail is exceptional.
The food was great that’s all we talked about
Great place to celebrate a birthday! The drinks were excellent and our waiter made some great food recommendations.
Such good food and ambiance! Our waitress was such a gem and even offered us a tasting of another wine off the menu which was so sweet of her!! We made sure to tip her well and she was very attentive and sweet. Definitely one of my go-to spots in oak park for sure!
It was nice to have Open Table to reserve seating. Felt safe in the restaurant and the food was excellent as usual.
Excellent place! The atmosphere, the food and customer service!
The salmon and the lemon tart were delicious . The lamb sausage isn’t as good because they have a new chef. The staff is phenomenal very attentive and polite. Atmosphere cozy and quiet only problem near an el train and homeless people walking around. If they close the curtains you would care about the outside. They have parking close to the building. Indoor and outdoor dining available. The berry cobbler is horrible soggy texture with uncooked oatmeal. The steak was tender and juicy cooked perfectly just add salt and pepper.
Second time eating here. Good food, attentive staff and complimentary glass of wine!
Great food, well prepared, outstanding patio setting
In the breakfast world of scrambles, skillets, and shortstacks, novelty is hard to find on brunch menus, but with at least some of its dishes, Citrine has done just that. The lamb sausage with harissa, and buratta is a delectable flavor bomb; the poached egg toppers done to runny-yolked perfection. The pound cake French toast is a very good complement for the savory sausage dish. While Caesar salad is not novel, Citrine’s version is better than most—just enough dressing, house made croutons , crisp Romaine; we did miss the anchovies, though. Even the coffee was good, and the coconut Aperol cocktail a good choice. Our server was very helpful, timing our three courses to be brought to the table in succession as we’d requested. The only downside to the experience was the cold air blowing down from overhead vents.
Very appreciative of the thoughtful covid protections in place. We were seated at a distance from other diners. Patio also has warming lights if we preferred outdoors.
Food was delicious. Very good variety on the menu as well.
My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary and we had such a great experience! I had the salmon and my husband had the steak and frites. Both entrees were delicious and did not disappoint!
Creative menu, well prepared. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice to have the outside option, especially these days, but between the trains, traffic, and overloud music, it wasn't a particularly pleasant environment.
We really enjoyed our meal at Citrine last weekend. We sat outside and were very comfortable thanks to the heaters. It was kind of noisy because of the trains, but that was to be expected. Food was good! I am looking forward to returning when I am comfortable sitting inside!
After enjoying many fine dinners at Citrine, I was disappointed in their brunch.
My eggs Benedict were served with boiled eggs that were a few seconds short of hard, so no runny yoke. The sauce was skimpy so the whole dish was dry. Conversely, the medium well hamburger was medium rare. The avocado toast was skimpy on the avocado (though the other ingredients were fine).
To make matters worse we were joined but three wasps who thoroughly enjoyed walking around in my eggs Benedict.
Fortunately nobody tried to ‘help’ by trying to scare them away, but someone needs to spray during off hours!
Very nice experience, entire staff wore masks, exercised extreme care, fantastic service, Kudos to the staff, and highly recommended. Oh, the mushroom ravioli is outstanding!
We had a great time as always. The food was gas was terrific as was the service. It has a really well-constructed menu with somethng for everyone. The wine and cocktail list is the same way.
Great outdoor space. Properly worn masks on the staff. Great table spacing. And delicious food.
Really excellent dinner at Citrine. We will be back.
Citrine is always a wonderful experience. The front of the house manager checks in with guests to ensure that everything is going well. We are always pleased with the food preparation and presentation. Never a complaint. Thus is our special occasion place and we are so happy that they are near our home.
Lovely food and patio is nice!
We had to wait 30 minutes to get our drinks (restaurant was not crowded) but the manager was very apologetic and more than made up for the server's error.
great server and attentive owner
i will definitely be back
best food ive had in the area in a long time
Friday night was pretty busy at Citrine, but it felt so great to be out again. I really love this restaurant and I love that we could eat on their great patio. Their Amish Chicken is out of this world!! Loved the GTO cocktail.
My wife had the mushroom ravioli, I had the white fish, with the octopus appetizer. The food was amazing!!! Our service was outstanding as well! Can’t wait to come back, great experience!!!😀👍
Went to Citrine for our anniversary. For an appetizer we had the shrimp and grits. Loved it, but would have really appreciated more grits. My entree was the risotto special of the day, asparagus and artichoke hearts. It was divine. So rich and perfect. Took half of it home to appreciate the next day. Mike got the gnocchi which I thought was kind of a pretty simple dish for an anniversary, but wow. It was light and really, really good. My cocktail, a dirty martini, was perfect. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.
I love to cook- and we love to eat!
Too often, when we dine out, we are disappointed because we realize we would have had better food at home.
Not the case at Citrine!!!!
Always delicious! The staff is always helpful!!!! And the outdoor seating is delightful!
Great place for family dining, special occasions, or date night..... it does not disappoint!
We always enjoy dining at Citrine’s patio. Food and service is very good.
Always love my experience at Citrine. Our server Anna was wonderful, attentive and I thank all the staff who are working so hard right now. Thank you all.
Great service, felt covid-safe with a lot of open space.
Citrine never disappoints. Octopus is one of my favorite foods and the octopus appetizer was cooked to perfection and outstanding! The beet salad was also delicious. My daughter got the gnocchi and it was pan fried. I have never seen it cooked that way but the crispiness from pan frying it gave it a different texture which we thought made it exceptionally good. The only negative was that I chose this place for my birthday dinner and my husband made a note of it when making the reservations on OpenTable, but there was no acknowledgement by the restaurant at all. I was a little disappointed in that since I had chosen this restaurant to celebrate my birthday.
Food and service both equally amazing. We showed up late for our reservation and they were incredibly accommodating and understanding. So many friendly faces. Highly recommend!
Enjoyed the patio and food. Would love more vegetarian options.
Great food great location!
White fish was very dry- usually my favorite dish-and no longer service g bread with meal
Delicious food, lovely ambience. Wait staff was friendly.
