View Private Dining DetailsAbsolutely awesome....had the fondue, popcorn and humus for appetizers. The chopped salad was super and we ordered 2 and served 7 of us. Everyone’s dinner was a 10 and we celebrated an anniversary with a Complimentary dessert. Would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat.
We love the Citizens Public House. We had the Chopped Salad and Short Rib. I had a barrel aged cocktail. Everything was fantastic as usual.
This is our 3rd time eating here and we have loved it every time. We frequently travel to Scottsdale and always plan on eating here when we come . The food is amazingly tasty with a creative flair . The wait staff are excellent and helpful in choosing your menu choice.
Food was delicious and service was great. Will definitely be back
We went for our anniversary last night and they gave us a glass of bubbly each to start off. We each had the Cobb salad (which is the reason we go there), it’s so good. We were pretty full after that so just ordered some crab cakes and ceviche. The crab cakes were really good, the ceviche was ok, we’ve had better. Our waitress was awesome, I wish I remembered her name. We try to get to Citizen public house every time we come to Phoenix and we’ve never been disappointed.
This restaurant is VERY LOUD. But it’s bustling and busy. Service was awesome and food was great. It’s worth the trip for the chopped salad!
Food was great as always although I was sad to hear the bone marrow dish was no longer available. Bar service was awesome but could have been better at our table. A lot of empty glasses sitting for a while.
Great service!! We sat outside on an ideal day. I was returning for the “Chop Salad” which definitely lived up to the chop salads I’ve had previously.
There were four of us and we all enjoyed our meals very much!!
One of our go to favorites! Always excellent food and service and lots of positive energy in the room.
Fantastic patio dining. Cheese fondue was so good.
The food & beverage service at the bar on the Saturday night I attended were first rate. The bartender seemed genuinely concerned about whether I liked the outstanding Manhattan and the carne asada street tacos I ordered. Outstanding. I’d recommend Citizen Public House to anyone.
Food was excellent service was very attentive nice ambiance wine list was very good as well
Noisy though, hard to have a good conversation
Overall excellent, very much recommend
Delicious! My husband took our 14 year old twins for a night out and we all loved it. However, it's not a place you'd bring younger kids. The food was thoughtful and modern, but still really accessible. We ordered a few starters and a couple entrees to share. I definitely recommend the chopped salad and fried catfish. The buratta and filet asada tacos really good too. Highly recommend if you're visiting Scottsdale and want a have a casual, yet sophisticated night out.
Less than impressed. There was not much ambiance in my opinion. I also found the portions to be extremely large. So if you are starving, great. If not, it is wasteful as we barely ate half of our dishes.
Best restaurant food I’ve had since moving to Scottsdale in 2004!
Like the other times I’ve visited, everything was perfect (well, except for the noise level that increased as the dinner progressed).
The cocktails were exceptionally good; each one of the 4 of us was delighted and impressed with our dishes (scallops, chop salad, grouper). Robby’s service was exceptional too - never hovered but always appearing at just the right moment.
Our out of town friends (Chicago & Steamboat Springs) were very impressed!
Food was excellent but our waiter was very short and not helpful at all
This is my favorite Phoenix area restaurant. We always take out of town guests here. The food is fantastic.
Great place for parties, great cocktails and good food!
As always, a great meal, good service... the Manhattans!!!O_O
The chopped salad is a must-order IMO. Also tried the scallops and short rib, which were very good. Very loud inside, but outside on the patio it was wonderful. Service top rate.
Here on vacation and dined at the recommendation of a friend who lives in Scottsdale. Enjoyed two great appetizers...(pork belly and a beet salad) and scallops as well as a pork shank for our main entrees. Food was off the charts good, and our server was on his game, despite the number of tables he appeared to have.
Only downside was that while the restaurant was quiet when we arrived, we could barely hear each other by the time we left as it got busy.
On our list of repeat restaurants when we visit Scottsdale. Food and service is always good, with interesting menu options This time we got there a little early and enjoyed the happy hour too. Aside from all the good choices on the menu, the bacon popcorn appetizer is fantastic and a must-try! Parking is easy, and the area is nice for a walk before or after the meal.
Four starters, four entrees, one dessert, all very much enjoyed by our group. Lamb in particular was great, and the drinks are delicious. Highly recommended.
Very nice server. The wine was well priced and the food was good. My salad was pretty weak. The lettuce was not torn and too large for a bite. The dressing was not very tasty either. I had the crab cake and my friend had the tacos and both were adequate but not special.
Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and she was passionate about her job. Delicious food! We will definitely go back on a future visit
Original chopped salad was fantastic, everything it was hyped up to be. The “pork shank” came highly recommended but was like a “state fair turkey leg”. Pretty disappointing, wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. Was expecting much more. Service was great at least.
Great cheese fondue appetizer made with Kiltlifter ale. Highly recommended! The Lamb Loin and short ribs entrees were both succulent and tender. Great attentive service to match the quality of the food.
Great food, drinks and a very nice waiter. I think his name was Ryan but it was so incredibly noisy I really couldn’t hear him. If you want to talk to the people you are dining with, try for one of the tables on the small patio. It has to be quieter than inside.
Sever was super nice. The chopped salad is amazing. But my chicken was so over cooked it was nearly inedible.
For our annual visit to Spring Training, Citizen Public House is a must. Food and drinks are great and the service is friendly and helpful.
Scallops were amazing! Very cool place with a nice vibe.
We were extremely pleased with our meal. Scallops were like butter with complex flavors. Swordfish was cooked perfectly. Great service
Dining alone on business. First thing I noticed was how extremely loud it was and glad I wasn't with someone as I could surely not hear them. I couldn't find anything on the menu that was really appealing so it was basically between a burger and tacos which is not what I really was looking for howeve the tacos were very good albeit a small portion. Fresh and clean tasting.. Nice job on that. If back to town I would not be likely to go back based on menu selections.. No fault of theirs just not my style I guess...
The food was wonderful and the drinks were great. The service however was a problem. If you don’t want to work late nights then don’t accept a 10:30pm reservation!! We were rushed through our meal, the waitress hovered and she even took our drinks away before they were finished. I can only partially blame the girl for her actions...the management or owners who decided to accept our late reservation should hire people who want to work late. A $300 meal should not be rushed!
Very large room with only very limited outdoor seating. Very noisy space, not conducive to conversation. We had six people, but I could only talk to the one directly across. I could not hear or understand the others. The Stetson salad, originated at Cowboy Ciao across the street is excellent, though a little firmer than at CC. My swordfish was very good, but I have had better for less.
Another wonderful experience! Whenever we are in town I always make a reservation for dinner one night here. The ambience is lively & fun, the service top notch & food always excellently prepared & presented! This time we shared the special of cod in a miso broth served over gnocchi with Japanese long beans & their always tasty Chopped Salad. Nicely paired with a lovely wine, it was a perfect evening!
Our server was FANTASTIC!!!!!
Requested fresh hot chicken. Received cold diced chicken? Otherwise very nice! Update the menu please😊
Excellent apps food n service especially.
