Absolutely fantastic experience
We came here for a belated Valentine's Day dinner and it was intended to be a bit of a splurge type meal. When we arrived, the host barely greeted us. He wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. Our waiter was great about making recommendations and I was honestly a little annoying by being indecisive. He had to keep coming back to ask if we were ready to order and I get that that's annoying, especially if you're super busy. But he just was unfriendly from the get go. I can deal with an unfriendly waiter, but I can't deal with terrible food. My chicken was bland and boring. To be honest, the waiter told me it wasn't the best thing on their menu but it sounded good to me, so I ordered it anyway. That's my bad. But, he highly recommended the pork chop to my husband and it was WAY too salty. I LOVE salt and even for me, it was too much. For these prices, I expect my meal to be amazing, and it just wasn't. We also got the mac and cheese as an appetizer, and it was also mediocre. This was actually our third time here, and it's never been phenomenal. So, yeah. We won't be going back.
The lamb was fantastic. They forgot to put cheese in my burger but it tasted great either way!
This is one of our go to restaurants for a special date night.
Amazing food!! Every single dish we had at the table was phenomenal and perfectly prepared with beautiful presentation.
Loud beyond belief. My meatloaf and my daughters pork shank were almost too salty to eat
Outstanding barrel-aged cocktails!!! And great value if you go during Happy Hour.
The chopped salad and short-ribs are always outstanding.
We will always come here for at least one meal every time we visit Scottsdale.
We have liked this restaurant for years but Thursday night was so loud my ears were ringing. This as been our go to place to bring family and guests but no more. Way too loud
The chop salad was the only real positive point to the meal, it is delicious. However, our server was not very personable and the smart chicken was below average while the risotto tasted fresh out of the microwave. Both of our entrees got picked up by the server with less than half eaten and she did not acknowledge the fact whatsoever. Weighing the options, the chop salad is available elsewhere..
Paul made great recommendations and added to the enjoyment of our evening. Food and Atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely return to Citizen Public House.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Our waitress was helpful and on top of everything. Too bad we don't live in Arizona or we would eat there a lot.
Lovely Valentine’s Day menu choices!
Visited CPH for Valentines Day. Food and service were fantastic, with an ambience to match. We both had the chopped salad - one of which was easily modified to be gluten free. Entrees were delicious as well with nice portions. Our waiter was terrific in general and very knowledgeable with regards to the menu and any dietary restrictions.
Very nice place, really enjoyed our meal. Look forward to dining there when we can choose from the regular menu (it was Valentine’s Day) very good service.
Food and service was spot on perfect like always.
