Our second visit, love the drink and dinner menus. Great service, it has the vibe
Citizen Public House has become one of our favorite restaurants in Scottsdale. The service is excellent and the food outstanding!
Great food and service, surprisingly different menu all of which was fabulous. Definitely add to you’re must dine place when in Scottsdale.
One of our meals was the the wrong one. They brought the correct one 20 mins later - no compensation. Poor form.
Great service and food but too loud for a group of 8. We could not have any conversations except with those sitting right next to us.
Need to pad the walls since way tooo much reverbaration noise - too loud - have to almost scream at dinner companion
Great old downtown location. Excellent service. Nice happy hour specials
We went for my son’s 30th birthday. The wait was short and the staff very friendly. Our server was a delight;, always attentive without being a nuisance. The food was novel (chorizo wings were awesome) and terrific. We’ll be back.
Good server. Let her handle all ordering and she hit the nail in the head. Attentive. Well done
Part of our 40th Anniversary celebration. The service was fantastic the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. We had a great time.
We were not going to get an appetizer...however, the waitress highly recommended the Chopped Salad before our meals.
It was AWESOME!! A definite MUST-Try!! Our evening and our Dinner was all around... delicious!!
Very creative menu. Good variety with seasonal vegetables. Good wine selection. Service was outstanding.
It was very loud. Food wonderful as usual. Service fantastic as always .
Citizen Public is a great gastropub in Old Town, tucked around the corner of 5th at Craftsman. Chopped salad tossed at table with salmon and a buttermilk dressing was best I’ve ever had. Size is also shareable. Pork and veal meatloaf was also shareable and outstanding. A keeper!
The rainbow trout was delicious! Great restaurant to take family to - there are a lot of yummy options for everyone.
We came for the Stetson salad and returned the next night for the tuna crudo, special prime filet, duck fat fries and roasted cauliflower. The wine list is short but excellent. The chocolate and brownie ice cream is a standout, and we’re picky about intense flavor and creaminess (it delivers on both!)
Excellent meal and drinks too. We highly recommend. Started with the bread plate and then We had scallops and buttermilk chicken. Both were great.
Always good -it’s a destination for us when we come to the area. This time it felt a bit more rushed and less welcoming. Our waiter wasn’t terribly knowledgeable. We’ll be back but we like to be pampered a bit!
Food was overpriced and mediocre. Seven dollars extra for bread speaks to the essence of poor value as does the limited menu selections . I would not return or recommend to others.
Had a really wonderful dinner; didn’t even realize they had happy hour which is great. We had the duck (incredible) and the short ribs (fall-off-the-bone good). The dessert was possibly our favorite- glad we each got one (maple pot de creme with ginger snap). 5 stars!
Birthday dinner for Abby’s 25 and everything was perfect
Love Citizen Public House - one of my favorite spots in Old Town. Delicious food. Only negative is it’s quite noisy - but otherwise a great dining experience.
Delicious food, great service. Short ribs, duck breast, and chop salad were all outstanding. We will return whenever in town.
The food and the service was excellent but it was super noisy. The music wasn't loud - it was conversation.
The environment is welcoming a friendly. Our table was well situated in an open window area so that we could enjoy the evening breeze and observe the bustle of the restaurant. The Amaro Meatloaf was divine ... elevated from "comfort food" to a gourmet preparation with the inclusion of veal demi-glace. The Big Ol' Lamb Shank truly lived up to it's name. It was huge, meaty, and flavorful. Our server, Kevin, was highly skilled and personable. He was able to answer all of our food preparation questions in detail, making each entree sound savory and appealing. We look forward to returning to Citizen Public House for the highly acclaimed chopped salad, as well as their other unique dishes.
Good food, speedy service...maybe too speedy. In and out in 45 minutes.
If you sit at the bar, you get MUCH MUCH better service and so much LESS LESS drama from the waitstaff. I don’t want to listen to which server is sleeping with which manager or who thinks who is prettier.
Best happy hour in Scottsdale! 7 days a week, so no excuses. Half price draft beer and barrel cocktails. The salad is always a must order dish.
The CPH delivered for me and my friends on our AZ Golf trip. The hostess reserved us the best table in the house for 8 at the open windows. The service was great and the food was fantastic. The Duck, meatloaf and short ribs were spot on.
it's good, food and service are fine, ambiance is good, it's just not quite worth the prices they charged, it was out first visit, so maybe they were having an off night....
The meal and service was excellent. The noise level made it very difficult to have a conversation. There was also music playing on the outdoor patio, where we were seated, which was very loud.
Everything was good. All the servers were good. Our waiter Brian was excellent. Food was outstanding. Been here before and could hardly wait to get back when we came to Phoenix area.
The food, presentation and service were excellent. The staff was friendly and efficient and added significantly to a wonderful dining experience.
Fabulous drinks and food spoiled by terribly loud ambience just from other diners, nearly 100dB, from hard surfaces and low ceilings. Had to shout across a table for 2 to be heard. Ears rang for hours. Only the bar is tolerable.
Excellent!! Justin was fabulous and food (as usual) was delicious!!
The staff was very courteous, helpful, and amiable. Two of us had the blackened sea bass special and agreed it was the best meal we've had in a long time.
The barrel-aged cocktails were delicious and the bacon popcorn was decadent!
Loud, uncomfortable and with awful food. Wha5’s to like?
Good food but very very loud which took away from enjoyment
The chop salad is very good as predicted
Scallops were good too
