Met my husband and daughter here the other night because she wanted the Original Chopped Salad. We've been here before for drinks or appetizers, but the other night everything was exceptional.
From the seasoned Rosemary Mixed Nuts, the burger with the amazing salsa, the side salad, the coffee and blueberry vodka cocktail I got was simply perfect. Everything tasted so delicious, we have a great waiter, I wish I remember his name. My burger was cooked perfect and you could tell it was three types of beef ground to make the burger. It tasted like good steak and corn salsa was very tasty.
We love the bar and atmosphere so we will be going back. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic food and service. Sat on the patio to avoid the very high noise level inside.
The food, cocktails, and service were great. We sat outside on the patio, which lacks the ambience and charm of the interior, but has a far more mellow and intimate vibe. We would definitely go back!
We went to Citizen Public House for a small birthday dinner because we love the food and craft cocktails. Did not disappoint the cobb salad was fabulous as were the scallops and short ribs!
Best duck I’ve had in a while.
I love this place
Everything about this place was great! Service, food, beverages, the list goes in and on. Highly recommend!!
Suggest sitting on the patio as the noise level inside is very high
Food was wonderful and the staff was very helpful.
Love the salmon chopped salad and crab cakes.
Amazing! The food was so good. Short Ribs were to dies for and iPic needs to really work to get the Bacon Popcorn!
Carmen took care of us very nicely. We had a nice evening there
Fabulous evening. Great food and great service. We’ll be back.
Great cocktails and the array of appetizers we ordered were all very good!
This is the 4th time we've been there and this time we brought friends who had never dined there. The chopped salad was great as were the scallops. Let's not forget the great drinks. The Manhattan's are delicious. We'll be back!
This is a great dining experience. Great food, classy atmosphere, knowledgeable servers. FYI, choose a time slot between 4 and 4:30 for the best seating. The place fills up fast, for good reason.
The food and cocktails were delicious! Get the popcorn :)
Great food, great service at a fair price.
Amazing all around! Will go back next time I am in Scottsdale
The "Restaurant Week" menu was small but had very good selections. I had the endive salad and my guests had the chop salad. The endive was very nice with the slight bitterness you'd expect, and the chop salad was outstanding. I chose the scallop entree and both my guests chose the meatloaf. The scallops were beautifully cooked and flavorful and the meatloaf was absolutely huge and quite tasty. The only dessert offering was the bread pudding, which was small but flavorful. Service was attentive, my guests had two different drinks each and all four were really good. The noise level increased as the night went on but there was a large table with some sort of celebration right behind us. Citizen Public House has been a go-to special occasion place for a while now and will continue to be so, I really like it.
We live in central Scottsdale and have wanted to try CPH for a long time. CPH seems to have great reviews and somewhat difficult to get a reservation via open table. Therefore, expected an excellent experience- especially the food. Went there during restaurant week to give it a try. My wife had a chicken dish, I had the meatloaf and our guest had the scallops. Very disappointed with the food. Just average- nothing special. However, our guest loved the scallops. Not sure if she was just being polite. We are not that picky of eaters. The meatloaf speciality was served on mashed potatoes and had some squash I think.. Totally forgettable. I really enjoy specialty meatloaf, but I could made something like this at home. Same with the Chicken dish- nothing special. I have to say the chopped salad was good- but for restaurant week, it was very small portion. Desert was a bread pudding. We love bread pudding but this was nothing special. There are better places in the area for the same money- or less money. Not bad, but not great as it should be. Maybe just go there for the chopped salad as the main and some wine.
The filet mignon and meatloaf we're excellent entrees. The chop salad is a must have starter and the catfish starter was fantastic
great food and service
Rest is amazing and I’m a frequent guest. They need better acoustics, it’s too noisy to here your date. They aren’t aware of all the great products available for acoustics so people can enjoy their meal w lively ambience, to make the noise level accommodating.
We met up with some friends for dinner and had a great meal and drinks. Our service was outstanding and the ambience was nice. We asked to sit outside as the noise level inside was a bit much for conversation.
Fabulous service from our server Sean. He had great recommendations. The chopped salad was to die for and my Rainbow trout was delicious. My husband really enjoyed his meatloaf and dessert was so yummy. Everything was served perfectly and the portion sizes great. Ambiance, excellent food and awesome service from this establishment. Will be recommending whenever we can.
Amazing - From the greeting by the hostess to the dessert. Everything was great. We were visiting from Seattle and it was Restaurant Week so we were a little nervous about service. We shouldn't have been. Recommend 100%
CPH is my absolute favorite restaurant in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. They never cease to find a different way to impress me each time I go. I ventured away from my normal order of the scallops (which are absolutely amazing) to try the rainbow trout. It was fantastic. My girlfriend had the meatloaf and said that it was the best meatloaf she has ever had. This really is a top notch restaurant with an amazing ambiance. I highly recommend to anyone!
Delicious food and outstanding service.
The food and the service were amazing. Our waiter greeted us immediately and began showing us the menu and asking if we had any questions or wanted to know more about anything. With this being restaurant week they had a special menu of items and the choices were amazing. We had a choice of 3 salads, 6 entrees and one desert.
My wife ordered the meatloaf, my son had their chicken breast and I had the scallops. Everything was on point and presented perfectly. The bread pudding was fabulous.
Definitely will be back and definitely recommend this place!
Our son had given us a gift card and high recommendations for the Citizen Public House and the food and service lived up to those expectations. We didn't realize that it was Restaurant Week in Scottsdale when we made the reservations, so the only available time was 5:15, early for us. To our pleasant surprise, it was Happy Hour, so their wonderfully-crafted cocktails and bar food were at reduced prices. We opted for the fondue along with our drinks and were not disappointed. We each ordered a half "chopped salad": such basic words for a magnificent plate! My wife ordered the scallops and I had the short ribs. My wife commented that the scallops were the best she has ever had. My short ribs were equally delicious, though the dried cherry bbq sauce seemed a bit over-powering and distracting. Our one modest complaint concerned the accompanying greens. The stems on both the snow pea and chard greens were quite tough and nearly woody. We couldn't help but notice that other tables were also leaving the greens on their plates. For dessert, my wife had a modest piece of delicious bread pudding that came with her "Restaurant Week" special. I asked if I could order the same thing. What I received, however, was four times the size and with ice cream added. I ate the ice cream and we brought the pudding home with us for another night. A smaller dessert at half the price would have been perfect. Service was perfect and the patio reasonably quiet. As we left through the restaurant, the dim increased significantly.
Nestled in beautiful Scottsdale, this is a neighborhood gem! The food was delicious, prepared fresh and did not disappoint! The service was great as well, will definitely come back when in the area.
We tried Citizen Piblic House during Restaurant Week and loved it! Good happy hour prices and excellent 3-course meal options. Will definitely be back!!
Cute space, great service. Loved the food, wine and ambiance.
We were not served at our table. Had to move to the bar and order. Things went a little better at the bar. I did really enjoy the chopped salad.
I am not one to normally write reviews but I thought this place was too good to not write one. I strongly recommend giving this place a try. Our server was AMAZING (I'm so sad I can't remember her name, but I believe it starts with a C) She was exceptional and took care of us more than we could've asked for. The food was absolutely delightful. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.
Other than the noise level the food and service was phenomenal
We enjoyed the Restaurant week menu this time. We have been to Citizens alone and with family on many occasions and have always enjoyed the excellent service and outstanding food. The Restaurant Week menu was no different, excellent food and service.
This place should be in everyones top ten. the food is just fantastic. The chopped salad is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
