Always a lovely experience. Preparation of pork chop not as good.
Unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Entree menu is VERY limited as was wine by the glass. Our out of state guests ordered a glass of merlot but only the house merlot was available instead of merlot of choice from wine list and the restaurant does not carry Ketel One. For the price point, overall we expected better.
Hi Tom, we're so sorry that you didn't have the experience you were hoping for. We'll make sure to pass along this feedback to our team.
As always the food is great and our waitress Jamie was outstanding . Highly recommend Citico’s !
Dinner and service was, as always, exquisite. Downstairs lounge had excellent singer-guitarist but ambiance was severely compromised a by a REALLY LOUD obnoxious group. My wife and I could barely hear to order our wine. In the future, we may resort to Thursday reservations only to avoid loud parties, weddings and wedding rehearsal dinners that seem to frequently plague Citicos.
Hi, Rob. We greatly appreciate your feedback. We'll make sure to pass this along.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere and serene views of the lake.
Service was friendy but distracted, could certainly be improved.
Otherwise a very nice evening.
We'll make sure to pass along your feedback, Mitch.
Amazing Halibut dinner with great service! We took advantage with Thursdays 1/2 off wine. A must try restaurant.
Thanks for the kind words, Tom!
From the whispers of Citico’s years ago to today, you can go ahead and shout from the rooftops, that eating there is a must. Albeit a rare mistake, like over cooked pasta or dry fish, the entire Citico’s establishment will make sure that everything during each course is absolute perfection! If not, there is no fee! This is the kind of restaurant the other restaurants in and around Knoxville need to learn from. The term in the industry that is very popular now, is farm-to-table. What if during the blank-to-blank-to-blank, along the way, an error is made? The customer must first communicate that error or dissatisfaction, and the way all employees handle that feedback and situation, to resolve the establishment-to-customer experience, is representative of the business in whole totality! With that said, within those guidelines, Citico’s gets my checkmark of approval!
Thanks so much for your feedback!
Amazing food! Great dinner on the patio!!
Service was amazing!!
Glad you had a great evening!
Lovely place to dine. We sat outdoors under the trees and enjoyed every minute
We hope to see you again soon!
Enjoyed our dinner! Our compliments to the chef & staff! Bartender & waitress gave excellent service & were very personable. Would be nice to have Happy Hour extended to 7! Table furniture in lounge needs to be upgraded. Folding chairs are tacky.
Hi Tom - Thanks so much for your feedback. We'll make sure to pass this along to our staff to continue making improvements!
Great food and beautiful restaurant !
We went there to Celebrate our 39th Wedding Anniversary. Excellent food and Wine selection. Also has a great bar called the Lounge down stairs.
Happy late anniversary! Thanks for celebrating with us.
Perfect birthday celebration for a friend.
Hope you all had a great time!
Waitress Carmen was outstanding and Robert the chef is fantastic
Thanks for your positive feedback! We'll make sure and pass your comments on to Carmen and Chef Robert.
Went for the first time to Sunday brunch and it was different to say the least. The waitress came to our table and explained instead of the normal buffet they were doing it a al carte so we ordered what we wanted and it came out above and beyond what we expected. Then the next course came and we said what next course lol. Then they brought dessert and of course we bagged that action to go. Then asked if we wanted anything else? I thought who could eat anything else? They brought all my faves and some new ones (brisket hash browns) and we WILL be back. The service was amazing as well and you couldn't ask for a better atmosphere than Citico's! Thank you so much for allowing us to dine with you!
we"ve eaten at Citico for many years. This visit the food was not as good as it used to be even though we ordered some of the same items. Would probably not go back..it is a 35 - 40 minute ride from our house in Knoxville.
Hi there, I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't have a great experience with us. I'll pass your feedback on to our management to improve in the future.
It was delicious and the perfect pick for Father's day. We were all full and happy, the grounds were beautiful, staff was pleasant and the buffet was as I said before...delicious!
Thanks for joining us at brunch! We hope to see you back soon.
Wonderful food and even better service. A hidden treasure, for sure. Will most definitely return.
Thanks for the compliments, Judy! Hopefully we'll see you again soon.
You train the servers to take the finished plates off the table before they serve the next course. Your customers should not have to sit there holding their finished plates while the server puts down the new plates.
Hi there, I'm so sorry that you had this experience. I'll make sure to send this along to our management and make sure they use it in future training.
Easily the finest meal I have ever had in Knoxville. Easily one of the best meals I've had in my life.
Stunning ambiance, great service, great value. I will be returning often.
Thanks for the kind words, James! We can't wait to have you back.
Good food and service. The dining room is lovely. Unfortunately, the downstairs bar area was not. The beautiful bar used to be surrounded by couches and armchairs, now there are folding tables and chairs. The ambiance has been destroyed.
Hi, Smitty. We greatly appreciate your feedback on Citico's Lounge. We'll make sure to keep these comments in mind when making any further changes to the space.
We notice a decrease in the overall experience from past visits. We generally viewed an evening at Citico's as a dining experience not just another restaurant that served good food. Little items that add to your enjoyment such as a serving of sorbet between courses was missing. While we both enjoy a nice bottle of wine, we are by no means considered connoisseur. As such, we are unlikely to spend $200 on a bottle of wine unless it was expertly paired by a sommelier. None were present. We prefer wait staff that are seamless and undisruptive. We experienced something more like you find at a chain steakhouse.
The food was well prepared and the ambiance is nice. Unfortunately the uniqueness that would cause you to venture out of the way for fine dinning was missing.
Hi there. We our so sorry that your experience was not up to expectations, and this is definitely not how we want our guests to feel when they dine with us at Citico's. We will make sure to speak with our staff to make improvements based on your comments.
Enjoyed a delicious brunch with my wife last Sunday. The setting is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the setting is superb.
Chef Allen never fails to put out an excellent meal. Fresh PEI mussels in eastern TN and they were cooked perfectly. Cocktails nicely prepared. Wine menu pared down so that you can actually work with it. New staff from our last visit, which was a while ago, but they did an excellent job of serving. We were not rushed but did not have to wait when we needed/wanted something. We will keep Citico's on our dining rotation.
Fabulous food, service and ambience. Very warm and relaxing atmosphere!
The service and food were both outstanding. Our group enjoyed being in the room by ourselves. I t was easy to hear each other. We enjoyed drinks on the beautiful patio area first. The evening was a great success.
All they need is a bigger parking lot for busy nights. Mother's Day brunch was very nice in spite of very rainy weather. I look forward to dining there again.
Service was poor food was fair and will possibly give them one more opportunity to wow me and my guests but only once
Hi, Greg. I'm sorry you had a negative experience with us over the weekend. I'll make sure to pass along your feedback to the team so we are able to improve.
Pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service. Would recommend!
Always love Citico’s!
Pluses and some big minuses for us. Celebrated my birthday here, first visit planned by my wife. Best Moscow Mule ever! Very Limited menu. Felt it was too expensive. Homemade garlic bread was good. Crab bisque was delicious. Ordered filet medium and it was cooked medium rare. Wife had red snapper and it was too dry with too much breading. The strawberry dessert wasn’t fresh and should have been thrown out! Strawberries were very old and wilted. Could have spent my $170 on a few great meals elsewhere. Beautiful house and great service.
I previously dined there in Sept 2018 and it was wonderful. On this visit it was terrible. The service was slow and inefficient, even with very few people there. The food was dry and burned . I complained about the black things on my plate and the chef came with a weak apology. We had two desserts between 4 of us and these were deducted from the bill.
Overall very disappointed. Will not be dining there again.
I have called but so far not able to raise a manager to report this live, and have left a voice message and request to call me back
First, we were told when we arrived that a great many items on the menu were not available. Even the listed specials were not available. They should have called me to let me know this. Food was not cooked correctly. The staff seemed to be preoccupied with other events that were to happen the next day. Will not return!
Hello Jack, Thank you very much for taking the time to write us and let us know. This is certainly not the experience we want our guests to have. I apologize for the lack of menu options and not communicating to you properly. We should never let other things distract from giving you great food and service. I have your contact and will try to reach out personally. Thank you again, -Chef Robert
The meal at best was average. The salad was composed of a field of greens that should have been thrown out before it was served. The short ribs were uninspired, as if the chef was going through the motions, and the bread was doled out a piece at a time. If the amuse bouche had been any smaller, it would have been a crumb.
We had the brunch. The food was very good. The chicken wa a little tough and cold. The biscuits and gravy was execellent and so was the omelette. The beef was cold but good flavor. We were really disappointed in the desert selection. I would rate it very poor.
Execellent service and atmosphere is wonderful.
Very nice restaurant in a quaint setting. Food is very good. I highly recommend Citico’s. I will be back.
Always enjoy our evening out at Citico’s. I would love to see a few more options on the menu.
Citico is a fabulous place to take friends for a special occasion. I introduced some newcomers to the area who were so impressed they made reservations that evening to entertain out-of-town guests of their own in a few weeks. Even with a full room, conversation was easily quiet. Thank you to the chef and the excellent staff.
I was disappointed from the beginning as I was told they were out of the good olives for my martini’s that were probably 15$ each. Then following on that I was let down by the brussel sprouts which have changed recipe since the last time I was there (signature side dish, not sure why one would change). Lastly, the final let down came when I was informed that the torch for the creme brulee was not working. I rarely provide feedback on my dining experience but felt compelled this time around as my bill was 250$ for my wife and I (including tip). I would’ve had no issue paying that price if the experience could have been had without the setbacks outlined above.
Hello Lindsay, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for missing the mark on your dining experience. This is definitely not the experience we want to give our guests. We would very much like to invite you and your wife back to dine with us, and deliver the dinner you were expecting. Please feel free to contact me directly if, we can plan another evening with you. 865 986 0009 - Chef Robert
