Service was great on a busy Valentine's evening. The meals are prepared with special touches to enhance the dining experience. We do enjoy Citico's more intimate environment -- more like dinner at a friend's home than a commercial restaurant.

Overall a very nice dining experience. I wished the smoked beets had a hint more of smoke on them, but the fried brussel sprouts with pork belly were amazing. Definitely going to try and duplicate that dish..

Went for Valentines this year, made a reservation 3 weeks prior, had to wait 40min for our table, service didn't arrive till 10min later, we were nearly 1.5 hours in before getting our over priced astonishingly average appitezers and food.

Valentines Day was apparently much more busy than the staff was used to. It took about 2 hours to get food. The waitstaff were trying their best. Once received, the food was good.

With a 7.30 reservation, We waited an hour for our table to be available. After an hour we informed the hostess that we were leaving. She informed the manager. The manager apologized for our wait and indicated that they were unprepared and overwhelmed by the volume of people.
I read many reviews to make the choice to dine at this establishment. I chose the restaurant due to it's small capacity with the understanding that it would be a small venue. The pricing was high and I was willing to pay for a good experience. After waiting an hour for a reservation made several weeks in advance, we left without spending a large amount of money since we were not going to enjoy the experience after such a long wait.
If you are going on a high volume date such as valentine'sor mother's day, I recommend choosing another restaurant. I can not speak for the food or service. I will not make the same mistake again.

Valentine's probably not their night to shine. Had 7:00 reservation; however, we were not seated seated until 8 and food arrived around 9.
Also I could not help but notice the egress for the building was not correct. The doors open inward which is a fire hazard and not sure that it is within the fire code.
I could not give a referral to someone based upon our Valentine's experience.
I may give them another chance on a different night to see if things are better.

My wife and I had reservations on Valentines evening. We were extremely excited and looking forward to a delightful meal at a restaurant that we’ve never been to before. The appearance and location were very nice. Our reservations were for 7 o’clock. Unfortunately our entrée did not arrive at our table until 8:20. We had lobster ravioli for an appetizer and it was three small squares followed by a decent salad. The server did not come to our table that often but when she did she was apologizing because they were overbooked and that she couldn’t properly take care of everybody. We both had fillet and shrimp and the first entrée was overcooked and cold. They brought back a second fillet and shrimp which mine was fine but my wife’s was again overcooked. As we neared the end of our experience the owner came to our table apologizing for the sub par service and offered to take care of our meal. They did take care of our bill which was only fitting but we will likely never return.

The reason my scores are so low and yet I still would recommend to a friend is due to the fact we've been to Citico's before and it was GREAT. Great food, service, ambience, etc. Something has changed dramatically for the worse. Seven o'clock reservations outside got us seated right at 8 o'clock at table dead center of main living room just behind hostess station (loud, noisy and everyone else waiting to see hostess standing right by or table). There was an outdoor area but were told it was full. Never even ask if we wanted to wait for a table in that area. After 15 minutes plus seated in huge noisy area and not even talking to a waiter/waitress we decided to leave (although ironically the chef had time to come out and speak to other guests who had their food). We weren't upset just hungry and they had obviously over booked. Who knows how long it would have taken to get food as we still had not even order drinks, apps, etc. Just a shame. It was so good at one time.

Valentines Day was a disaster. We had a reservation at 6:30 but didn’t get seated till after 7:15. We were sent to the downstairs bar where we were ignored until I asked the bartender if we could get a glass of wine. When we were given a table it was apparently because another party had turned the table down as it was by a roaring fire. We finally were served just before 9:00. The salad was disappointing as were the steaks. The fish and soup were good. This was our first and last visit.

We have frequently gone to Citico’s for dinner, so thought would be good to go there on Valentines Day. What a big mistake! We arrived and our table was not ready, had to wait 30 minutes to get seated. Finally got seated, the service was extremely slow. Our server did not even ask us what we wanted to drink! At least we had water..... 20 minutes between courses is unacceptable. When we finally got the main course served, they swapped the steaks relative to temperature. The plate appeared to have been under a heat lamp for quite some time due to the dryness of the potatoes. The restaurant is not very accommodating (or not prepared) to the number of guests that they had, bottom line we’ll not dine there in the near future again.

Our food was good; I especially enjoyed the wild mushroom side. I liked the simple music of the harp for Valentine’s Day.
We were seated at the back of the lounge area, behind a column, in uncomfortable chairs and the tablecloth pooled under the table so that it was difficult to place our feet.

We were very pleased! It was warm and welcoming and felt exclusive! Food was excellent! Desserts were okay, but main meal and sides were phenomenal.
Mix up in wait staff. We waited 15 to 20 minutes before we were waited on. Once the server realized that we were his responsibility, things went much better. The food was excellent but was a little over priced.
Pleasant. Fine dining elegance in a cozy, chateau-esque setting.

We love visiting Citico’s for our anniversary. We have tried brunch and dinner. Everything we have tried has been wonderful. I love a restaurant where the chef comes out and visits with the patrons. Service is excellent. We highly recommend Citico’s.
My wife and I were married at Citico's one year ago. I surprised her by having dinner there. She was thrilled, and so was I. Fantastic food, friendly folks, and the dining room was conducive to quiet conversation. We have made a promise to go back every year on our anniversary.
A hidden gem. Citico is our hands down favorite in the Knoxville area. Beautiful setting and some of the best food around.

..a glass of wine? $13-$16...our bill for scallops, and 2 sides (total), salad, drinks,...$150...the scallops, I believe, were not fresh...when delivered to the table, I had to wave my hand due to a....strong odor...this should not happen with fresh fish..and this was the only fish you offered, in lieu of the "'fish' stew", no "fresh fish being butchered" as advertised on the menu...in addition, you need to have a clean restroom..it was not clean...i.e., overflowing trash can, less than clean room, ....this was our 28th wedding anniversary dinner, and no, I would not recommend your restaurant given these issues.

The food was very dry, my bacon was very burnt and hard, and our waiter did not pay any attention to our table because we were younger than the tables who had older people.

It has been a few years since we dined, but Chef Robert has continued to provide outstanding cuisine and service. Our server, Carmen was always present but not hovering to attend to every request. Don't miss the Roasted Brussels Sprouts....quite a treat. Everything was wonderful for a perfect evening of dining entertainment.

This was the worst food I've ever eaten for the price charged. Three of the four of us thought our food was awful.
