This was our first visit to Citico's. We found the food to be extremely delicious. The crab bisque was out
of this world. My filet was very tender and cooked to perfection. I am glad I had a GPS to guide me there as it was dark and would have been hard to find without it.
Not impressed. The Food was ok. Selection was very slim. Took 55 mins to get our food. Food was ok. The Chef was very nice and presented himself well. I believe he needs more room to spread his wings and highlight his craft. A house turned into a restaurant is not the place for fine dining in my opinion. I believe the idea of a high class dining experience at Citico’s could be a success with the current Chef just a different venue.
We love Citico’s!!! The menu, the quality of food, the service, the atmosphere, the view...all impeccable!!
Wonderful restaurant with attentive staff. Recommend for dinner and brunch is fantastic!
This restaurant is defined as fine dining, however I think our meal missed the mark. The steak strip was delicious, however the pork loin was cooked well done and under seasoned, too overdone for my taste. The cassoulet did not have a stew texture, most commonly seen with a cassoulet, but overly dry. The Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was very good. It was a slow night, and we were the last reservation (8pm) on a Saturday evening. We felt exceptionally rushed by our server, to which she started turning off the lights all around us as we finished our meal, making us feel to swiftly finish our meal. To be described as fine dining, I would have expected the utmost service, which entails anticipated needs, including bread refresh, water refresh, and such. My bread plate was taken before I was even done with my bread. There are too many good restaurants in the Knoxville and the Maryville area for us to come back. I was hoping for something memorable. Unfortunately I was disappointed.
Superb dining experience. Excellent atmosphere, fantastic waitress, great wine and wonderful food. It just doesn't get much better.
We entertained friends for Sunday Brunch.
Highly recommend the Gouda Grits and the Omlettes as well as the Fried Chicken.
Great service and Ambiance .
Miss the pool table and seating area in the downstairs bar area .
Very nice brunch with nice selection and appropriate portioning. One dish was too salty. They apologized and replaced it. Will try them for dinner sometime.
We save Citico’s for special occasions. The food and service always add to the evening. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the scallops were super. The wine list is also complete and offers a variety of choices.
Everything was delicious. very creative brunch, and excellent value. My only complaint was that some (vegetables, and mac and cheese) were not hot at all.: not even warm.
Go for the smoked Gouda grits....awesome!
Was so excited to finally have bruncg here!
Terrible food. Dry Chicken, tough Prime Rib, cold Mac & Cheese & watery Biscuit Gravy. Waffle could have broke a window it was so hard.
Very poor selection and quality.
Service & Bloody Mary were great.
Again, excellent food and service in a beautiful setting. We were celebrating a birthday, and this was the restaurant suggested by the honoree. Thanks for everything.
We will be back! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. We really thought it was wonderful how the chef came out and spoke to us about our meal! Food was fantastic!! The restaurant itself is so beautiful! Can’t wait to come back!
Sarah was our bartender & server and always does a fantastic job! Colin is the sommelier and always has great suggestions. The salmon & grits were amazing and the carrot cake was to die for!
Outstanding! Our first time dining out for Thanksgiving and we went to brunch at Citico's - what an incredible experience. The food tasted like being at home. It was all there except for crazy Eddy!
My wife and I have been there before and had an equally incredible dinner experience.
If you haven't been, you're missing out.
Very lovely venue in a beautiful home-like setting. Fine dining to say the least! Expertly prepared food by energetic chef:)
Outstanding food and service. Absolutely beautiful setting for dinner and quiet conversation. Food selection was unique, tastefully presented, plentiful and delicious. Our third time taking guests for dinner and each time they were very impressed with everything at Citico. Would highly recommend Citico's for a delightful evening for premier dining.
Wonderful Brunch! Really restaurant!
Incredible quality and Great value .Service was as high quality as the food itself.
This has always been an exquisite establishment with excellent food, individualized service attention, and atmosphere.
Absolutely perfect. We put in a special request when we made our reservation and not only did Chef Allen accommodate us, he personally came to our table to explain the additions and changes.
The service and food is spectacular, and the views of the lake and mountains just send this place over the top.
service was good but the food was a disapointment. Bacon way over done, poor dessert offering, omlets were quite small and lacking requested filling.
Enjoyed a delicious dinner with my wife on Saturday evening. The food, service and view were outstanding.
Great experience! First class setting and outstanding food.
We all enjoyed our brunch. Service was very god and it is a very beautiful setting.
My wife and I are new to the area and were looking for something that was above the norm. We were very pleased to see the how the restaurant was nesseld in a golf course community right on Tellico lake. The scenery was loveley and first impressions were wonderful. We were well received and as we arrived early it was recommended that the bar area might be a comfortable place to wait. It was beyond comfortable and we enjoyed a favorite beverage with some very friendly patrons. Once the table was ready we were shown to the dinning room and seated with a wonderful view of the lake. We started with a small plate of the chiefs signature Brussels sprouts, they were amazing. The wine list was disappointing as two wines we requested were out of stock. We both made a beef selection and the tenderloin ordered rear came out well and the ribeye was chewy and failed to even appear like a ribeye, I felt it looked more on the order of a sirloin. (Not happy there) over all the restaurant was nice and we will give it a second chance the staff is pleasant and the manager Mark was most helpful and took our concerns constructively.
Nice experience. Excellent food and special service. A little pricey. Will comeback but only on special occasion.
The food was delicious! It was the first multi course meal that I have had in a long time where every course was exceptional! There wasn’t a negative critique I could have given!
The Sunday brunch on the other was not exceptional at all. I would never go back for brunch. The best thing was the smoked salmon! Everything else was tasteless, salty(to the point it burned my tongue), and just not good. The selections were impeccable. Prime rib, chicken strips, salad, fruit, vegetables, pasta, biscuits and gravy, and made to order omelets.
The mixed berry preservers was out of this world and the homemade potato chips were the best!
We will definitely return for dinner!
Another outstanding fine dining experience at Citico’s! The food was delicious and beautifully presented! We always enjoy our visits to this fin3 restaurant!
Beautiful location and ambiance. The meal was good, but nothing was very memorable. Service was fantastic when they would finally come to the table. It felt like we were pretty low on the priority list due to some potential real estate buyers also being there that night. We are glad we tried it, but very low on the priority list to make a return trip.
Amazing! Wonderful menu, friendly staff, beautiful location. Worth the drive from Knoxville! Hidden gem!
Always exquisite food and service at Citicos. Super great atmosphere for sophisticated dining.
We have always loved Citicos; however, our last visit was ruined by a very noisy, crude group of people in the room by the front door. We had taken a guest for her first visit there and what a disappointment the evening was. This experience will make us think twice about dining there in the future.
outstanding food, great ambience , friendly staff....we always come here to celebrate special occasions ...we don't come in winter because of the night time drive in the dark from Knoxville.
We were there for our 63rd anniversary. In recognition of the occasion, we were placed at a river view table and treated to gratuity desserts. We had the popular and tasty Brussel sprouts starter and the scallops entrée. Both were delicious and we were accorded fine service by the waiting staff. We will visit again.
The food was just OK for a brunch setting. I experienced many of the entrees were warm to cold. Nothing was at the temperature one would be accustomed to for a restaurant. Selection could be better for the price. Bloody Mary however was very good.
Not impressed, expected more. Pros-we had a great view from our table, server was very attentive, fried chicken was very good, desserts were awesome. Cons-no egg dishes on a brunch buffet, other food just OK, dress code not consistent (two men fresh from the golf course, complete with golf shoes and ball caps.).
Maybe dinner is better, but I’m not inclined to risk a $100+ evening to find out.
The staff was awesome! Food was very good. Expected a bit more for the price.
Our family brunch for Father’s Day was absolutely wonderful and the service was incredible!
My boyfriend and I dined on a Saturday evening for the first time, expecting the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant. However, here, we did not feel rushed or forgotten about during our dining experience, which is rare on a weekend. We loved the architecture of the house, and loved how they are using it as a restaurant. They sat us next to a window, which we loved. The view was so peaceful. The service is amazing—we adored Collin and appreciated his excellent wine recommendations and guidance through our first dining experience here. The food is spectacular. I started with the market square salad, and my boyfriend the cauliflower soup. It was the perfect beginning to a great meal. The cheese board was so impressive, and tasty! The Brussels sprouts with pork belly were also addicting, the sweet chili sauce makes it. We both ordered the filet entree with fingerling potatoes and asparagus, which was great! We ordered them medium, and they were slightly overlooked, but didn’t stop us from enjoying our entree. We took the peach cobbler to go to enjoy at home, and it was to die for. We will be back very soon with friends. We cannot wait to come back, and are so thankful for this gem of a restaurant.
