We left on Sunday talking nonstop about all we enjoyed at brunch. The most flavorful prime rib that I have ever eaten, the taste of rosemary making it so. Wonderful gumbo - our guest's four bowls full attesting to its rich flavor. Creamy mac and cheese, a step high above most restaurant 's version. These were just some of the highlights which will make us return soon. The window table gave us a perfect view on the lovely fall day. With excellent service as well, it was a fine decision to dine here on our way to Dollywood. Worth the $25 - Yes.
This was my second dining experience here. The first was a dinner and this experience was to try the Sunday Brunch. The food was delicious and there were many options to chose from. I thought a few more desserts could be offered. It is worth the drive and the setting is so relaxing and peaceful.
Party of seven and everyone enjoyed thr service, food, scenery and efficiency of service. All servers who attend us was very pleasant and friendly. A wonderful night out to enjoy friendship and dinner. A couple again today mentioned how much they enjoyed the evening. Thank you and the staff
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! A 6,500 square foot custom home (beautifully designed and decorated on the lake in scenic and secluded golf course development) transformed into the most lovely dining destination. Driving in must be what George Vanderbilt felt like getting to his homesite. Once arriving at this gem, you won't want to leave. Chef Robert was a delight, food incredible, and downstairs bar area a must to see. Scallops were perfect; dessert heavenly!
Took a different approach to this birthday dinner and decided to choose shared plates instead of standard dinner entrees. After a cup each of the smoked carrot soup, we shared duck crepes, beef cheeks, brussels sprouts with pork belly, and crab pasta carbonara. All were delicious. We ordered each plate separately for a perfectly spaced meal and with wine it was a lovely evening.
This was our 4th time in 2 1/2 years. First two times the food was very good. Last year we came for our anniversary and the food was just ok. One year later we thought we would try again on September 9. Same story. The food just was not up to par. Pork tough and over cooked. Shrimp and grits not good as well. Nice place but with marginal food, especially for the price.
This was our second visit to this hidden gem. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is very appealing, and the service is outstanding. Chef Robert will even visit your table for special requests, and to make sure that everything is perfect.
Although it is on the upper end of the price scale, I think that the total experience is worth the price. I will certainly plan another special evening at Citico's.
This was a birthday celebration. Everything was wonderful - the ambiance, service, cuisine, wine selection, the small details, etc. We decided to commemorate our birthday celebrations each and every year at Citico's. Thank you for your dedication to excellence.
Citico's is excellent. So many restaurants have become loud, crowded and food is measured in quantity rather than quality. Citico has great food, the atmosphere is classy and the service is impeccable. If you are looking for a spot for a special dinner - Citico's is it. My wife and I will definitely return for another meal.
I have enjoyed this restaurant on many occasions. This time I was disappointed that I could not park in a handicapped space because they only have one and it was occupied. This needs to change as there are a lot of handicapped people living in this area. I had to walk quite a distance for me. This time I did not feel the food was worth the price. Taste was good but portions were small and prices were higher. This will stop me from returning except maybe for Sunday brunch.
Years and years have passed, with the whispers of Citico's titillating culinary exquisiteness repeating through diners' satisfied literary palates. What is Citico's, set amongst the nether regions of East Tennessee within a private upscale developmental rural community? One word I give, on a five star scale accustomed with OpenTable reviews: Accommodating! Aside from food and beverage quality, no other factor is more important in the restaurant industry. From table, to taste, to time, to tendency; Citico's followed through with accommodating every whim, where possible; and that is not simply an accommodation, but a devotion, to culinary excellence, vinicultural staff on hand, and focal point to disciplined service; which says a lot about the multitude of depth with the proprietors and on duty mangers, executive chef Mr. Robert Allen, and waitstaff, down to the table attendants and dish washers. If one segment, I, or my date, disagreed with; I felt from my attendees at Citico's, that no matter what, that I, and my date, would eventually be satisfied even if we had to collaborate with waitstaff to get a request made-to-order, exemplifying the very nature of what it means to accommodate. The only significant criticism is with restaurant upkeep within the restroom, maintaining adequate towels to dry wet washed hands, which ultimately, I had to restock myself by venturing into the restroom cabinets, but, this is a minute determination in the quality and totality of an eating establishment; so, well done Citico's, well done all around. Thank you Citico's!
As always Citico's was wonderful! Chef Robert's creativity was once again on the mark. I would highly recommend Citico's if you are looking for a unique dining experience. From the bread, appetizer, salad, main course and dessert , everything was freshly prepared and delicious. The service was perfect also. We enjoyed our last visit and will be back again!
This was our third visit and we have enjoyed every meal. Brunch first time. Birthday dinner upstairs second time (was excellent) and ate in bar downstairs (appetizers) last time. There was an awesome singer there last time, Lala Logan. It's definitely a little "out of the way" but worth the trip.
For some reason service was very slow the evening we were there. Unknown if they had staff who didn't show or kitchen staff that didn't show. When we were being "attended to" the service was at the level we always expect. However, we went too long without service at times. Example: I had to go find our bottle of wine to pour refills for us during our dinner as there wasn't a single server anywhere to be seen. Wine is not kept at your table but, instead, is placed on a counter nearby as it does help keep the areas between tables less cluttered. In spite of this, the food, as always, was exceptional! Keep it up Chef Robert.
