Overall was not bad, had the salmon but it was very salty.
A beautiful room, delicious cocktails, and delicious food. Except for the hostess who perhaps has not been trained in the importance of first contact, the service was excellent.
Had a lovely early evening dinner sitting by the windows with a great view of the hills. We really enjoyed our time here.
The food and service was great.
Beautifully appointed space with soaring views of the mountains. The beef tenderloin was really fantastic. A thin wine list, possibly due to covid19, otherwise we loved our experience.
I eat at The Cirque on a regular basis. The food and service is always 4.5 Star.
My recent meal is going to receive a very poor review.
I ordered the rack of lamb, medium. The lamb was cooked perfectly.
That cannot be said for the”slop” that was then on the plate. Please refer to the accompanying picture.
The chef must think that plating is an opportunity to demonstrate his creativity. No. He is presenting food to be eaten by paying customers.
When I eat vegetables I want to eat something that looks, tastes, and is recognizable as one. In this case it was pureed something or other, squirted out of a cake decorating squeeze into two circles onto a cold plate.
At least the roasted onion looked like one and was tasty.
I have mentioned in past reviews about the kitchen serving on a cold plate.
To the chef, we are there to eat food. Not art!
Service was great, the was prepared fresh, the Elk Ribeye, BISON CARPACCIO fantastic. The Elk must be prepared with an infrared salamander auto broiler. Crème brûlée and STICKY DATE TOFFEE PUDDING were the put me to bed sugared up finish. Thanks for the great week. We will be back soon.
I was very impress with Cirque @ Lizard Creek Lodge
Compliments to the chef.....well done, food was outstanding good and good presentation.
Fantastic food and fantastic service. Very personable staff!
Beautiful space and view but that’s about it. I don’t think anyone in our party of 6 was impressed with their food at all. The risotto was dry and tasted like straight truffle oil. Eggplant croquettes were a mushy texture, were cold, and didn’t have much flavour. Wings were overcooked. Definitely room for improvement. Would not recommend.
Asked for recommendations and the waitress said she couldn’t really give any because she was a vegetarian. Started with a ceasar for a drink that was really bad, was told that they make their own Clamato so they get that teaspoon. I wanted to try the Elk but they didn’t have it so I went with steak medium, it came to the table blue rare which they should have seen being the cut in half before serving for some reason. Wife and 2 others had chicken pasta which they all said was terrible. 2 kids had burgers which they said were good. I would never come back or recommend this restaurant which is too bad being it was the only real fine dining on the hill and we were staying in a ski in ski out resort.
Ski vacation at Fernie
Loved it! Food was wonderful, teenage son loved the elk bolognese, my steak was super, and we all tucked into the delicious truffle fries. Service very good.
Another great meal. Our server tiana was excellent. Food was superb. Amazing ambiance and views. Beautiful wood burning fire. Our favourite on hill dining
This is the nicest restaurant in the Fernie Area !!!
Cirque is our favourite place to have our lunch break during a day so skiing!
I am very pleased to note that The Cirque kitchen took my recent advice and heated the plates prior to plating.
Great meal.
Excellent food and service
Service was slow initially. Food was ok but too high priced
Food was alright. Service and the view were great.
Food was great. Our server was not
Food was overpriced for what we ordered. Server was non enthusiastic!! Decor was plain and outdated. Looks as the spent their entire decorating budget on chandeliers and left the rest of the place in the late nineties... What’s with that ugly carpet?? Seriously!!. After going to numerous other restaurants in Fernie we will never return to Cirque again. Thank you but nooooo thank you
Salmon was average
Fun experience as usual
We enjoyed the food. Service by Jack was great. We were underwhelmed by the menu choice.
We had the salmon and the chicken. Absolutely delicious. Thanks daniel for the service and the drinks. Thanks cera who saw I left my gloves and ran after us. We love cirque. A great place to come and dine.
Dinner with my oldest daughter
My wife and I eat at The Cirque on a regular basis. There is something special about The Cirque that makes us keep returning. Firstly, the ambiance, with the mountain views, moving inside to the decor is far above any other eating establishment in Fernie and many other locals.
Then there is the food. Everything from the menu to food presentation is at the 4.5 star level of Lizard Creek Lodge.
I must, however, note one very small critique. And this is the second time I have made it. Hopefully, the kitchen will take note and make adjustments. With hot meals preheat the plate before plating the food. I had a pasta special. It was exceptional. But, the food around the edge was cold compared to that in the middle of the pasta.
Looking forward to our next visit.
A pleasure to dine. Good food. Beautiful space.
Great staff and excellent ambience and food. Responsive management.
Food was tasty but the elk ribeye was very petite.
Nice flavour but I was still hungry when I was done. Beautiful fireplace, great service and a nice evening out.
The salads were not good and the food was just average for the high price you have to pay . We will not eat there again .
Really enjoyed our dining experience. With Covid, we hadn't dined out since November. Tables were well spaced and health protocols followed. View out to the ski hill and the decor is very nice. Food was delicious. The serving staff were attentive, friendly and professional.
Great elegant place, but not too posh.
Food was good and prices was reasonable for the quality.
The Cirque is part of the complex where my wife and I live. As such, we eat there regularly. Tuesday's are their Pasta and wine special.
This week the choice we chose was Chicken Parmesan. Oh my, it was spectacular.
I recommend The Cirque to all of the Lizard Creek Lodge guests. No one will be disappointed.
Our server cera was amazing. Great dinner. Thanks cirque. Chicken parmigiana was fantastic
Super
Je vous le conseille vivement
It was a lovely atmosphere. The food was very good. It was not busy at all as we were there during the week. Would eat there again.
Amazing meal. Pasta special. Desert creek brûlée and chocolate mousse Caesar salad. Our service was excellent. Jessie the manager was awesome. What a great experience for my wife’s birthday.
Pasta and wine Tuesday. Two choices were available. Both were delicious
Food was incredible and was priced accordingly. Very good experience, beautiful place.
