Love Circe. Great food and service. Beautiful atmosphere.
Our food was absolutely amazing and we are never disappointed when we come to Circe. The drinks are delicious as well. We love it here and will definitely be back.
The dinner we had was fabulous. We started with the stuffed artichoke and the cheese board which was amazing. We also ordered the lamb chops and I had the scallop special with spinach and lobster mash potatoes. The service was terrific. They could have been nicer. The only problem was that we were downstairs by the door and it was extremely noisy. I don't know if upstairs is better.
I had been wanted to get to Circe...not sure why we waited so long. It won’t be long before we return!! Started with cocktails and Calamari....so good. Seared scallops were delish as was my husbands boar pepperdelle! Finished with dessert...yum!! We will be going back again and again!! Thank you Carlo for introducing yourself..we enjoyed meeting you and will see you soon!!
Awesome visit to one of our Providence favorites!
A very enjoyable evening! The waitstaff were very friendly and service was impeccable. The food was very good. Loved the atmosphere!
We'll definitely be back!
Very disappointing. The cheese plate was good. Two bacon wrapped angus tenderloins ordered MED RARE were overcooked to slightly past MED and had a texture similar to roast beef rather than filet. They came with a black truffle ravioli which were unevenly cooked and way under done (hard and stiff), the green beans were cooked to near mush, and the plate was drowned in a heavy poivre sauce that overwhelmed everything. A third dish, 10oz angus filet mignon ordered RARE was served MED RARE. A side of asparagus was good. A side a mashed potatoes had an odd flavor component that no one at the table could identify and no one liked. Raspberry sorbet had an intense raspberry flavor that would have been very good but it had a sticky consistency on the bottom and ice crystals throughout. The gelato, chocolate and vanilla had the same problem with the ice crystals. The brownie with cappuccino gelato did not fare better. The brownie was cakey and dry. The total bill for 3 people with two glasses of Pinot Noir was $230.
Amazing food. Love the ambience. Spot on service.
Excellent restaurant, service, and amazing food and crafted drinks! We loved everything we had and the experience was exceptional.
I had the seared scallops for dinner, they were perfect, and the portion was very reasonable, 5 scallops instead of 3 (that's the amount you get in NYC). My boyfriend had the burger and it was delicious...a remarkable gourmet burger! We will definitely be back to Circe when in Providence.
The food was excellent and our Waiter was very good at luting us know what he thought when we asked him questions about choices !
Our server David was an excellent server and gave 5 star service throughout our meal.
Perfect in every way. Can’t wait to go back. A great place to dine before or after the theatre. Valet parking and a short walk to PPAC
Amed is AMAZING!!!!!!
Circe is wonderful for dinner pre theater to PPAC, which is just a short walk away. They valet the car which is perfect! The apps and dinner were delicious and beautifully presented. Sean, our waiter, was knowledgeable and attentive. Overall, a nice evening.
Excellent. The ahi tuna special is divine!!!!
Sean provided excellent service. He was very attentive; food was great.
The chicken was bland & dry. The scallops where good. The service was okay. Our servers stood there & watched us eat our appetizers the entire time. They where nice but made us feel a little uncomfortable.
Our waitress was amazing but the hostess was rude. Food was on point and probably the best espresso martini I’ve ever had!
Absolutely perfect night at Circe from the moment we walked in till the moment we left.
Very nice. We had the pleasure of sitting on the 2nd floor by the window which provided ample opportunity for people watching both in the bar and on the street. VERY lively (read: loud) bar patrons tonight but that helped the festive mood of the evening. The food was wonderful. Impossible to find fault with a bacon-wrapped tenderloin, cooked as ordered (often chefs are afraid to cook to medium-well, for fear of overcooking). Just fine. The evening special was veal chop which was a hefty piece of tender meat, served with a toothsome risotto which split the balance between the soupy risotto so often served and Rice-a-Roni (but in a GOOD way)! Good, friendly service, good wine list as well
Wonderful service and the food was to die for. Live in MA, but will definitely go back.
Great experience! Creative and excellently executed foods. Started with the lobster risotto with avocado ice cream which sounds weird but totally works. Although the rice was cooked perfectly, the overall texture should be creamier. Salmon and scallops were delicious tho the scallops were just slightly overcooked. Very good wine list and excellent service.
Great romantic spot! Plus valet parking. Delicious drinks and housemade cheeses. Yum!
Went there for Valentine's day. The Maitre d and valet were super nice. The waiter was bordline rude and the food was sub par for the price. Wouldn't go again given the other options in Providence in that price range.
The food was exceptional from start to dessert. Well actually to the end of the entree. After waiting for over 30 minutes for dessert, we left. Nice people but extremely slow. This is not a place you go to spend 2:45 hours on a weeknight.
We went to Circe for the first time as a pre-show dinner spot. The decor and Ambience are just lovely. There is a beautiful bar towards the front of the restaurant. We were seated in the back of the first floor. Our waiter was phenomenal and very well informed. He even mentioned that the salads were very large and that we would probably want to share which we did. Our entrees were delicious as were the creative cocktails. Only complaint on that particular night was that our entrees took too long to come out and we were concerned about missing the show. The waiter was very apologetic and said they just had a huge last minute pre-theater rush. He also said we should come back after the show because they have a DJ starting at 10. We opted out of this because of our long ride home, but if we were staying locally we would definitely have tried it out. We have already recommended service to friends and look forward to another visit on our next trip to Providence.
Circe is perfect for pre theater dining. Had a leisurely 2 hour dinner. Starters and small plates were scrumptious. Main courses were delicious. No rushing, great cocktails and just a short walk to theater. Circe will valet your car for dinner and the show!
Great food and service overall, my burger was a bit over cooked, but still tasty! Service was prompt and friendly-really nice people!
Waited a long time to be seated. Good food. Weird atmosphere. Slow impersonal service. Minimal interaction. Seemed like the server had too much going on. Might go back but not on a Friday. Not my new fav but might try again sometime for a different occasion.
We were a party of 4 for brunch just prior to PPAC theater performance. Interesting menu, good service and good food. We will be back.
P.S. They honor reservations.
I ordered a gnocchi pasta dinner and it was AMAZING!!! The sauce and flavor combinations were delicious! My boyfriend got a salmon dish with corn salsa and also really liked it! Definitely a great choice for our anniversary!!
We came on a Friday night and ordered a couple of plates: bruschetta, oysters, beef tartare and brussel sprouts. The bruschetta was good and the tartare was very tasty. After the tiny size of the oysters and soft, wet brussel sprouts (typically I like them a little crunchy), the tartare saved the meal. Drinks were very good (I’ve been told Circe is known to have good drinks). The noise was loud of dance music and we luckily just finished our dinner before they turned it up to the point of not being able to hear each other when speaking at a normal tone. Overall we had a good experience but you get what you pay for. Not really anything too amazing. If you’re looking for some energy, good drinks and a small bite to eat (as long as it’s not brussel sprouts) I’d say check it out.
Small space, but clean and fresh appearance. Food was delicious. Drinks were a bit overpriced, but on par with the rest of the food prices. Definitely not a bargain dining experience, but good and worth a special occasion meal.
Awesome experience as usual. Great food, great atmosphere!
Tried for the first time on”Restaurant Week”
Amazing Value! Food was delicious, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully! Wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. Loved sitting upstairs. Beautiful Restaurant. Great valet parking as well!!!
Loved the food and atmosphere. Would definitely go back
This is clearly one of the best restaurants in Providence! The service is truly outstanding and there are a variety of good choices on the menu. It has a feel of casual elegance. Lingering at the table did not seem to be a problem, and the four of us certainly did that. The noise level is a bit higher than one might like, but not so much so that it impeded conversation. We have now been twice and intend to be there again soon.
Had a great Restaurant Week meal here!
Everything is incredible. Highly highly recommend.
My BF who only comes to Rhode Island a couple of weeks out of a school year, came for the week. It was Restaurant Week and after some thought we chose CIRCE as our Date Spot. CIRCE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We both had The Restaurant Week Menu - The Crab-Cake and Lamb Meatballs as our 1ST Course, The Lobster & Scallop Caramelle and Bacon Wrapped Angus Beef as our 2ND Course, and The Espresso Mousse and Sorbet as our 3RD. My BF cannot shut up about that crab-cake, so kudos! Plus, we were sat at a 2-Top on the top level that overlooked Prov, so WIN WIN!
