Circe Restaurant & Bar
The menu consists of American-infused, Mediterranean dishes and drinks that are "exotic and special."
Gnocchi and the special with salmon and lobster mashed potatoes was amazing . The ambiance was well worth it also. Recommend for a date or any special occasion .
Not sure why but even though we were seated at a table in plain view, there were times when we felt no one was noticing us. The wait staff was very friendly and very helpful, but it was only when we asked for something. No one really ever came over to check on us. Perhaps the took the smiles and laughter from the conversation at the table to mean everything was ok, when it was not. But as I said, the waitstaff was eager to help once that help was solicited.
The food at Circe is phenomenal. The restaurant itself is modern and hip and has an overall great atmosphere. Our waiter Dave was excellent and paid extreme attention to our party and knew the menu so well. He made great recommendations and was very friendly along with the rest of the staff who were very polite and attentive. I highly recommend dining here for any occasion.
Lively atmosphere great food.
Loved everything about it. Absolutely delicious with fabulous service!
Circe was awesome. Loved the oysters, beef tartare, duck 3 ways, and the salmon. So many amazing food and drink options. Will definitely be going back.
Dined on a quiet Tuesday night and it was a delightful experience. Dave’s service was attentive and enjoyable and the food was delicious.
It's my choice every year to celebrate my birthday! Our food was delicious, we had a variety of seafood dishes and everyone enjoyed. the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is my mom thought the sauce on the swordfish was too "soupy." Bread pudding dessert was amazing...gelato was so tasty. Highly recommend...looking forward to trying the new location!
7 ladies brunching before our PPAC matinee show.
Our server was pleasant and very efficient getting our meals in time for us to get to the show on time.
Everyone seemed to enjoy their choices in meals.
My one big disappointment was they took the grilled polenta off the menu😂. I’m gluten free so I always ordered it.
The “ florentine” dish title should be changed.
There’s no spinach in the meal!!
You added brussel sprouts and took the spinach away. So my suggestion is to change the title. It’s confusing.
The brunch was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their selections very much. Will definitely go back.
We came for dinner before a concert and didn't have time to dine at leisure. Our waitress was sensitive to this and served us a lovely meal quickly and unobtrusively. We came back after the concert for a drink. The ma'traide welcomed us back warmly and our waitress came to say hello while we sat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and fun. We had a wonderful time at Circe!
My husband and I had a reservation for dinner before going to PPAC. This was our first visit and won’t be our last. I had the king crab and lobster caramelle. The sauce was light and just the right amount. The wine list was good and the drink menu original. The wait staff was attentive and friendly.
This restaurant is a great choice. We always ask for Taylor to be our server. She adds to the experience 😃
This was our first visit to Circe, and we had a great meal. Attentive staff, good atmosphere, great food!
Food was delicious. Greeting from manager and waitstaff was excellent. Only thing I had a complaint about was that it was a cold night and it was drafty. Maybe this can't be helped in an old, charming building.
Loved the food and loved our waitress! Great experience.
We had a great early meal before attending a concert. The food and service were excellent. I have food sensitivities and the wait staff was very good at making sure the food was safe for me, which I really appreciated.
Lovely ambiance and setting. Food was excellent. Only downside was the temperature of restaurant was very cold
Fun atmosphere and the bartender was especially great. The food was good, especially the grilled oysters, but some dishes lacked a little flavor. Will definitely return!
Great food and our waitress was very friendly! However, we placed an order for an appetizer first and then put in the order for our food a little while later. Our appetizer took almost 40 minutes and then our entrees came 2 or 3 minutes after our appetizer. It was not good timing at all and we were less than pleased. However the manager did make up for it with dessert on the house.
Overall, it was a good experience, good food and good staff! I would be willing to try again.
We absolutely loved it! We're not the easiest couple to please - I'm a meat-eater, and my wife is vegetarian. Nice thing about this menu was the wide variety of vegetarian options for my wife, but they were interspersed throughout the menu - she wasn't limited to a salad, or only one or two selections in a tiny "Vegetarian Section" buried at the end of the menu. Drinks were great, food was excellent, and service was superb! Made for a great dinner before the show at PPAC. We'll be back for sure!!!
Terrific service and delicious, creative, generously-portioned food.
Food was solid, service attentive. We never felt like we were being rushed through the meal. Bonus feature was valet parking. Highly recommend.
Circe was great, loved the menu options. Our apps, entrees and desserts were mouth wateringly good, but the sides were a little less satisfying. Spinach desperately needed salt or garlic... some kind of flavor and the lobster mashed potatoes were so dry... more butter or cream and even some sherry would help! The death by chocolate dessert exceeded all our expectations so save room. Service was really good. Go there and experience it for yourself!
Everything was incredible. Our waiter was awesome.
The avocado ice cream & lobster risotto were really good. But the wild mushroom bolognese wasn’t the best. It was greasy and couldn’t finish it especially with the wagyu burger
This is a wonderful place to eat! The food is always great and we always have a wonderful server who is both efficient and friendly. We have been several times and have enjoyed our dinner each time!
A friend and I share appetizers and small plates before going to a show at PPAC. We ordered the New England mussels as an appetizer - the serving was HUGE, the mussels were HUGE, and the milky broth was unique and delicious. We requested extra toasted bread because we just couldn't leave any.
We followed this with the Lamb Lollipops, which were meaty and tender, and the House Burrata, creamy and well-paired with a red pepper basil peperonata relish.
Considering we each had two glasses of a smooth Malbec, our $80 total tab was a great value, too!
We had brunch to celebrate two friends birthdays. Our server was outstanding. She thorough explained all options available with recommendations. Food & drinks were delicious.
The quality of ingredients and the skill to assemble them into a wonderful dining experience was evident. Server had good knowledge of the menu as welll as the specials
Thanks for a great meal.
Food and staff were amazing as always!
What a great night. Thank you.
Great service, food presentation and taste was outstanding.
The food was excellent. I had Salmon with grilled vegetables with a pesto sauce that was well prepared and delicious. Others in my group had salad specials that they liked very much. The service was attentive and the owner who was present was very accommodating.
My daughter and I had a lovely dinner before the theater. It was a short walk to PPAC and we were able to leave our car with their complimentary parking service. Our dinner choices were delicious and presented elegantly.
Our server Taylor was amazing! She was professional with the right amount of attentiveness and friendliness. She offered information on places to sightsee and specifically places for me to visit while my hubby works. If I lived here, I'd want to be her BFF! She staged our food perfectly, we had the mussels small plate (NOT SMALL) keep this in mind if you think you're going to just get a few. The grilled bread that came with the mussels was delicious and complemented the mussels white wine, garlic, lemon cream broth perfectly. We loved the scallops with beluga lentils, baby carrots, and squash purée. We added sauteed spinach and grilled asparagus to round out our dinner. Then came the decedent and brilliant desserts. The bread pudding was one of the best we've ever consumed. The only thing that would've made it THE best - replace the raisins with pecans and add caramel. Otherwise it was perfect. The salted caramel gelato was absolutely the best ever! We both loved the wine selections. Being in an atmosphere of incredible decor and the warmth of the entire staff is what you can expect beyond the fabulous cuisine that the chef plates for you. Hurry in to Circe (before game of Thrones starts up again) and tell them I sent you! - AG Green Lane, PA
Joined for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Excellent food and superb service from a staff that is wonderfully friendly. A nicely curated wine list, too -- along with creative cocktails like "The Panty Snatcher." Definitely worth visiting.
The food while tasty was uninspiring for the price. Mussels were bland. swordfish was good scallops average. Probably would not go again.
