Group of 7 was still hungry after meal. Waiters did not tell us flat water was $11/bottle.

I went to Cipriani for NYC restaurant week . Food was just ok . Desert was a very dry pecan pie that should come with a scoop of ice cream . I ordered a dirty martini and it came in a kind of shot glass .

The staff was very nice. The food was horrible. I am not sure if it was because it was restaurant week, but really!!! I go to restaurant week to try out new restaurants to add to my list of places to dine. This one won't make the list. The menu was so limited, I couldn't decide. it was like they only wanted to offer the cheapest food possible. Even offering the cheapest, they should have been able to offer something tasty. My meat was nothing, but fat. The salad was one of the worst things I have ever tasted at a restaurant. Desert was tasty, but something I could purchased in the frozen food section of any store. I wouldn't go back here, but maybe that is the point. It didn't look like they should be chasing anyone away. I was there on a Thursday night and it was empty.

I decided to take my girlfriend out for restaurant week for our early Valentine’s Day dinner. It was both our first times there. I have absolutely no complaints about my experience inside the restaurant. The problem started once I left the restaurant...

When I got home, I checked my bank account and realized I was charged for my meal $270 and an additional $786 of which I did not order. I called them the next morning, around 10:30-11am. The person I spoke with said the managers come in around noon so she took my contact info and assured me someone would call me asap upon arrival. I did not receive a phone call by 3pm so decided to call back myself. I spoke to the manager and he stated that it was an honest mistake by one of the workers there and accidentally charged me for someone else’s bill also. He stated that he would need to speak to his accounting department and would call me back sometime later that day. I did not receive a phone call from him that evening and called back the following afternoon since I now knew he doesn’t arrive until noon. Being that the dinner was on a Thursday my bank said the funds could not be released until Monday. So when I spoke to him the next day he said the same thing, that he would speak with accounting and call me back sometime that evening. Once again I did not receive a call so this time I called them back when it was close to closing time. A young lady answered and put me on hold to get him. I was on hold for more than 10 mins so hung up and called back. No one answered. I called several times and no one still answered. As if they saw my number on the caller ID and chose not to answer.

I understand that human errors happen and some things are out of people’s controls but the was the staff at Cipriani’s handled the situation is unacceptable of a high end establishment, in my opinion. Because of this situation I will never eat at Cipriani’s ever again and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.

I can't believe this restaurant is so bad! We went to have lunch with my colleagues for restaurant week and the food and presentation were awful. Food were bland, lack of flavor and the presentation so sloppy! The dessert tasted like a cheap cake from Costco! Very dissappointed! I would't come back again!

During restaurant week the menu had very poor choices in all 3 courses. There was a choice of fish that I never heard of and the other dish was ravioli with corn. So I ordered the chicken which was all dark meat which I do not eat. I only eat white meat. I told the waiter and he as asked me what I wanted from that menu. I choose the corn ravioli I didn't like the seasoning on the sauce and I only ate portion from that small portion. I spoke to the manager and he was very nice and told me I should have spoken to him before and I said I did not know since the waiter was not forthcoming in assisting me form the beginning. The manager gave me a different desert and fresh fruit to make up for it.
