Best pasta in Town!!!!!
It,s just the best italian restaurant in town. A must Wien you visit New York.
One my favs and one must places to enjoy dinner in NYC!!
Ridiculously expensive for not that great food. I was disappointed.
Overall it was very disappointing. Table beside the closed terrace doors which shivered against the table every time the front door was used. I guess the overpriced menu is needed for all the staff that was present. The restaurant was not fully booked and I think on average there were like 2 waiters per table who couldn't wait to take away plates and refill the wine as quickly as possible. The food was ok but not special. You would definitely expect more concerning the high prices. Would not recommend it to anyone.
Outstanding food and great experience overall!
Always a great place to people watch
Food and service is consistently excellent
The food was outstanding and our waiter was so knowledgable.
We had a reservation and when we arrived we found out it was closed...without notice! Terrible experience and not professional
Made reservation a week prior. Only to find out that they were closed upon arrival. Extremely unprofessional and disappointed.
The restaurant was close... you dont have to accept reservation
We arrived there and the place was closed.
It was close !! 😡😡 and we made the reservation days before
I had booked this restaurant for lunch on NYE 2017 and walked a purposeful 40 blocks to get to it only for the restaurant to. It only be closed but foaled to communicate to me that this was the case. We then struggles to find an other alternative for lunch due to it being NYE - the only option was a cab ride away. Very unimpressed and surprised with such appalling service from such a "reputable" restaurant.
I made a reservation via open table for 2pm on December 31st. Only to show up and find the Restaraunt closed and going through renos???? It would be common courtesy to notify me if the Restaraunt would be closed. It was 11 degrees when the uber dropped my family off in front of the Restaraunt and we were completely shocked and dissapointed to find out we would have to walk for blocks in the freezing cold to find a new lunch spot.
Best meal I had in New York will go back again for sure
Overwhelmed with Christmas, 1 hour late with reservation
We set reservation for Christmas day at 5:15. We have been here before and had a nice experience last time. This time they were very busy which is understandable being a holiday. When we were waiting for our table by the bar we overheard a waiter telling a manager that one of the tables said they were not ready yet for check, he told the waiter he will decide when they are ready and brought them the check. Then while we were sitting at our table I saw at a neighboring table that the diner had just finished eating and went to bathroom, while she was in bathroom they took all of her bags and coat and just put it on a chair to setup the table for next guests. As soon as we finished desert we ordered 2 more drinks, without any word they just bring me the check. Now I get it they were busy and possibly overbooked, but rushing paying customers out is not a good look for a restaurant. We made the best of our time but it was rather disappointing. The food is great though. Not sure we would return.
A classic Italian Restaurant, situated in a great spot downtown. The food was delicious and very rich, portions were quite small but enough.
The ravioli and risotto were done to perfection.
The lemon meringue pie (their speciality as told by the waiter) was so damn good!!!!
I stood for 15 min waiting for someone to seat me. I had a reservation .
I was by myself...and the hostess made a comment about eating alone.
Service seemed better for others.
Very disappointed...I had heard about the restaurant for years.
I will not be back.
Due , dico due carciofi 70 dollari !!!!
Rapporto qualità prezzo fuori dal
Mesas exageradamente juntas, lugar pequeño no es cómodo ...
Comida y servicio excelentes , ...para mi gusto pagas mucho para estar amontonados ...
I loved this place, really good food and sweet ambiance, and I recommend it. But for the life of me I couldn't get my head around the tiny--and I mean tiny--wine glasses used both at the bar and the tables. I couldn't get a bead on their thinking, despite an effort, and assume the practice reflects a misguided cultural retrospective, but it ain't cool to serve red wine in a droplet-size glasses. Silly practice.
great italian restaurant with very good food and great personal!
will return when next time in NY
Cipriani is well known. My wife and I went for a special occasion. Seating is tight. It is quite expensive. Service is very good but not great. Now we know.
I took a client out to Cipriani Downtown figuring I’m going to an expensive Italian Restaurant with the most impeccable service.
Well, what a ripoff. For starters, they don’t put prices on the OpenTable menu so you don’t get sticker shot till you get the place.
Prices were high but you figure you will get a meal and service of a lifetime. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. And the service was just Ok. Not worth $125 per person!
Save your money - go somewhere else. This place is for the rich frou frou SoHo crowd who like to go to overpriced restaurants whose palettes are evidently not functioning correctly :)
This restaurant never ever disappoints! The food was delicious the service amazing. Always fun cozy! Best pasta and carpaccio ! Thankyou! We were celebrating my boyfriends birthdaay and i am happy to say he loved it!
My favourite NY restaurant simply the best!
Excellent. A bit casual but nice ambiance. Food is consistent to other Cipriani locations.
Nothing outstanding, for the value provided the prices are just ridiculous... Definitely not worth of trying, much better spot in the neighbourhood!
Nothing extremely special. The food was not memorable. We had the salad, ravioli and sea bass. The salad was the best part.
Very over priced for what you get, food was ok nothing amazing. 3 drinks 2 mains and a bill for $170 dollars didn't represent value. I'm happy to pay for food but when a plate of over cooked fries comes in at $16 I feel some what violated.
I love this place. The manager and servers always make you feel beautiful and valued.
Great place for lunch
The service was horrible. The woman who looked after our table was not friendly and at some point, I would even call her rude. Do not recommend this place for a business meal. There are better options in the area.
poor service, wrong order. expensive, Unkindness
Pleasant meal although cramped and noisy until the bill came and they charged us 64$ for 2 kids portions of PLAIN spaghetti! (No sauce, no anything!) it wasn't on the menu but naturally we didn't think they would take the opportunity to completely rip us off. More expensive than the adult meals. Complained to manager who told us to take it up with Mr Cipriani himself! We eat at Michelin starred restaurants all over the world and have never come across such service. Would not recommend and would not return.
Excellent and high quality food and service always
Very good Italian food. Nice ambiance. Always crowded and noise.
I am never let down by Cipriani West Broadway's service, food, and atmosphere.
My favorites are burrata/prosciutto, tuna tartar & Veal Piccata al Limone with Rice Pilaf,
This time I shared a woinderful Branzino.
