We arrived early and they would not seat us until our noon reservation. Then 3 minutes after 12pm we had to ask to be seated. I requested an outside table but they declined bc the tables were for 4 ppl yet they gave them to others who were a party of 2!! The service was horrible. The manager tried to make up for the lack of attentiveness, but the bill was wrong, they didn't understand our requests, they were not very friendly. The noise across the street was construction and metal sawing. The pasta was very heavy sauce. We ordered 4 meals and the best thing was the cake.
Great food. Way too loud. Ruined our evening. Couldn’t stay for dessert.
Never disappoints! Staff was extremely accommodating as always. Surprisingly family friendly!
Table practically in the pantry area. Energy level was great, food was tasty and predictable.
MUY Malo todo todo
We had a great time at Cipriani Downtown. The headlines:
-Service, Service, Service - they were very accommodating of my 5 year old daughter
-People watching people who want to be watched
Loved The service, food and ambiance 🙏🙌
My friends and I had an amazing time at Cipriani’s for my 21st Birthday. There were a variety of great food options and the waiters were excellent. The restaurant was kind enough to give us a slice of a delicious cake for my birthday. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone going for a special occasion or a romantic date. I will definitely be back again.
Nothing from the regular menu and it’s wasn’t tasty
Not happy with the response on outdoor table requests
Great maitre d’
for the first time we were very poorly served in a restaurant. as soon as we arrived they already came with the menus and they already wanted us to choose .. we said we would take it easy .. the waitress came to our table 4 times insisting that we place the orders .. soon afterwards a person came by saying that he was a manager and saying that we should already choose starters and main course for the chef to organize. made it very clear that they would like us to leave quickly to clear the table. absurd! I do not recommend!
Food was just Ok.
Perfect evening, good food good service fun ambiance.
Seating selections based on how well dressed you are
Went for Mother’s Day and the service and servers were amazing. They did make us get up 2x to physically move the table for various reasons, which seemed strange, but they attempted to make up for it with all the desserts.
Service was terrible. Our waiter took his break in the middle of our lunch and didn’t Tell us and then the new waiter never introduced himself. We got lost in the shuffle. Anytime I wanted anything I had to flag down someone. Incredibly annoying and unnecessary considering we were inside next to the bar and service center. I haven’t been to Cipriani in years and I probably won’t ever go back.
Great experience and service e
We came from California and had an anniversary dinner reservation at Cipriani they made us wait on the sidewalk by the garbage for 30 minutes for a table then put us back by the toilets in the coat room my wife was very unhappy we have to be moved outside six times they told us they would move us outside and they never did after one hour we left not good
They make people wait for over 30 minutes despite having a reservation.
Had a great time and cannot wait to go back. Service, food, staff, ambiance were all fantastic. Fabio the general manager made sure we had a great seat and were well taken care of.
Best restaurant in the city to dine at.
Atmosphere is A+
The staff are all very accommodating and professional.
Lovely service. Flood was terrific. Highly recommend!
Everything was perfect but really cold! Heaters would’ve made been amazing
My husband & I haven’t been to Cipriani’s on W Broadway in a very long time. Our favorite Italian restaurant in Mia is Cipriani’s & we love both just the same. We’re grateful they haven’t closed.
The food was amazing, the staff was amazing, the manager on duty was great and so helpful. Everything was fabulous!
Went there for a birthday and unfortunately it was just not a great experience.
Food: The food was overall well-made but just not great enough to justify the price. We had the steak tartare (4/5), artichoke alla romana (3.5/5), bolognese (4/5), and roasted chicken (3.5/5). The pasta used for the bolognese was definitely a highlight, but found the sauce a bit flat. The pasta itself was incredible, delicate and well cooked so extra points there. The chicken was solid, some parts were dry, but the flavor was great however, it was just roasted chicken with no extra frills. I’d eat it again but not at that price point. I’d be fine with the price had the overall experience been positive.
Service: What really docks them here is the service. It’s clear that they reserve the front space for special guests, and they have definitely bit off much more than they can chew with the outdoor seating. They initially tried to offer us a table on the street all the way at the end of the block in a high traffic corner where police cars were posted. It was clear guest placing was very classist and judgmental. Host/hostess were quite stuffy and did not come off as sincere and welcoming. I noted that it was a birthday date, and dessert didn’t even come with a candle or anything special, which was different from the more centrally seated guests with a birthday. Our waiter was friendly, however far from good. It seemed as if they had zero direction—it took a while to order, explanation of dishes was poor, and it just didn’t add to the experience as you’d expect from the Cipriani name and the food pricing.
Best Bellini! Sea bass is great and the meringue desserts are amazing
Delish... always a great meal
The service and food are terrible. The servers were rude.
Cipriani Downtown was fantastic, in all respects. The drinks, apps, entrees and desserts were all delicious and worth coming back for.
Incredible every time.
Service excellent. The food was delicious! Have the Cipriani meringue cake for dessert!
House staff very attentive without being overbearing and intrusive. Outside dining was ample.
Everything was amazing ! Service, food, vibes . The manager Fabio provided great hospitality and made my birthday brunch outstanding
Excellent service and quality
Definitely the best Italian restaurant in NYC! The service is also impeccable. I am half Italian and spent a considerable amount of time in Italy so I feel qualified to judge. I have also eaten at numerous Italian restaurants in NYC and while many are good, Cipriani is where I always go. Shout out to Nick who is wonderful!
Cipriani Downtown never disappoints. One of my favorite in the city.
The best service I've ever experienced. The vanilla meringue cake melted in your mouth. The service alone made the expensive bill well worth it.
Visited for lunch on a Wednesday after. We had a nice time, good food and service.
