Best spot in nyc
Fabulous evening food was amazing service impeccable
Nice! Bellinis at the bar and great lunch
Food and service were incredible
Ambiance is good. Service wonderful. Food was cold and disappointing.
I LOVE the food ! Theres always a wonderful vibe, a relaxed atmosphere and the service is excellent. If you go there once you will be a regular. I’ve eaten at all the best restaurants in NY and Cipriani Downtown remains one of my favorites .
We love this location and when we come to NYC, it's a must.
The food was fantastic, especially the lemon meringue. Didn’t want to share!
Disappointed by the venue. I’ve heard of that mythique Italian place in nyc before I go. So I was expecting much better concerning the place, the food and the ambiance. I’ve booked a table via opentable and when we arrived they asked us to wait for more than an hour... so not any advantage to book in advance. The food was over expensive for the quality and the quantity. Very disappointed by the restaurant and its reputation. Unfortunately won’t come back.
We shared a wonderful salad and some fantastic parigainno Reggio amp and olives with cristy bread and shared 2 pastas . Delicious and our server and staff were wonderful
The service and food were excellent. The inflated prices left me feeling a bit taken advantage of. The downtown location has little of the charm of the mid town locations.
Love it as always
Honestly, we were so excited to enjoy a meal here and it was terrible. Our reservation wasn’t honored, nobody was willing to help us or provide assistance, it was loud, there was no room. It’s great in theory but not at all worth the effort.
Amazing service best service ever you feel like your a princess and everybody s serving only you they do this with each client feels unique wow wow wow
Enjoyed Downtown. Casual atmosphere. Simple ambiance with interesting art.
Steak was excellent, Pasta was good. Overall good meal. Will return
Excellent service, the waiters were very attentive and really made the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, there was a rather large party that arrived towards the end of the meal who were rather noisy
Good food but bad service
Been wanting to
Honestly was never more disappointed in a service before . People always brag about this place and I have to say my experience was terrible.
Having great expectations from a previous visit some 15 years ago and also knowing the restaurant is a NYC icon, I was sorely let down. We arrived to chaos. Despite arriving on time for our reserved table, not early, not late, there were queues out of the door. Once shuffled in by a doorman, with no direction, we found ourselves amongst a throng of people in a similar position, hanging around without a clue what to do. The waiting staff, looking very professional in their white tux jackets, were plentiful, but equally seemed without a clue. It was only when I looked in earnest at one that they asked if we’d checked in the the manager. The manager? And who was he amongst this chaotic group of people. Eventually he was pointed out and he seated us almost where we stood, in the thoroughfare. Finally seated, the experience improved with attentive staff, a good menu and well prepared food. What we hadn’t anticipated though was, even with one of the cheaper bottles of wine, with the taxes and service charge, this proved to be one very expensive Saturday night out.
Paper receipt machine was broken
Some of the best Italian food I have eaten in a while. The service was great also. Our server Luana was very knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely be back.
The food was decent, and enjoyable, but it was not great. The service was terrible. The waiter came to the table and just stared at us for our order. He didn’t say the usual like, “ Hi, I’m... Are you ready for me to take your order?” It was very strange. They also took longer then they should have when it was not at all crowded.
New Year’s Day bougy lunch
Everything in this place is great, the food and the service are fantastic!
Very simple and overpriced place with weird ambiance. Tables are too close to each other — no privacy at all.
Fantastic afternoon with friends. Great food and service.
Cipriani Soho is a far cry from the Cipriani midtown that I remember so fondly. The food was just OK, the service was slow, and the ambiance was by no means memorable. It was fine for a quick lunch, but would expect much more for dinner.
Delicious, little pricey but we cleaned our plates.
La joven que no asistió perfecta, la que acomoda en la entrada pesada y descortés.
La comida buena pero nada espectacular o especial.
El lugar bien puesto con el ambiente tradicional de ñ cadena de restaurante.
Food was not tastefull, but the place and service were fine.
Been going there for 20 years and this was teh worst service we have ever had. When we wanted to return a club soda because it tasted fishy the waitress scoffed at us and then threw (threw!) a ketchup plate on our table and snatched away the glass while she walked away mumbling. We gave her zero attitude, it was a simple request. Mind you the ketchup was meant for another table (clueless waitress). We were there and had our order in 20 minutes before the restaurant got crowded and it took an hour and fifteen minutes to get the food. When I asked the waiter to check on it he gave us attitude went and hid in the back. These were both new wait staff, not people we have to know over the years that are still there. Lots of attitude on Christmas day none the less.
I feel that regular costumers are treated better.
Worst experience ever. They sat us on a table that barely was able to fit two people (and we were a party of four). We’re bumped the hole dinner by waiters and costumers coats (because our table was almost inside the headgear). The food wasn’t the awesome also. Nello was a much better experience. Wish we went to dinner on Christmas Eve someplace else.
Everything was good
So yummy! Authentic Italian - great culture, energy and vibes. Felt like I was dining back in Italy!
Disappointing. From the disinterested wait staff to the average food. We have been to other locations and enjoyed but this location is not up to standard. There are too many other great options in soho.
We had a 8:45 reservation and at 9:45 asked if our table was ready and were told it would be at least another 20-25 minutes. We ended up leaving and going to Another restaurant down the street. While I understand running behind, waiting an hour and half after the reservation time is not okay. Big disappointment.
Very small, food was good but I expected more. I’d try the other locations and think this may have just been an off night.
